Génesis 38

In jener Zeit verließ Juda seine Brüder und schloß sich einem Mann von Adullam, namens Chira, an.

Y ACONTECIÓ en aquel tiempo, que Judá descendió de con sus hermanos, y fuése á un varón Adullamita, que se llamaba Hira.

And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

At that time, Judah went down from his brothers, and visited a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

Dort sah nun Juda die Tochter eines Kanaaniters namens Sua; er freite und heiratete sie.

Y vió allí Judá la hija de un hombre Cananeo, el cual se llamaba Súa; y tomóla, y entró á ella:

And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her.

There, Judah saw the daughter of a certain Canaanite man named Shua. He took her, and went in to her.

Und sie empfing und gebar einen Sohn; er nannte ihn Ger.

La cual concibió, y parió un hijo; y llamó su nombre Er.

And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er.

She conceived, and bore a son; and he named him Er.

Wieder ward sie guter Hoffnung und gebar einen Sohn; sie nannte ihn Onan.

Y concibió otra vez, y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Onán.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan.

She conceived again, and bore a son; and she named him Onan.

Dann gebar sie noch einen Sohn; sie nannte ihn Sela; zu Kezib war es gewesen, wo sie ihn gebar.

Y volvió á concebir, y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Sela. Y estaba en Chezib cuando lo parió.

And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.

She yet again bore a son, and named him Shelah. He was at Chezib when she bore him.

Dann freite Juda für seinen Erstgeborenen Ger ein Weib namens Tamar.

Y Judá tomó mujer para su primogénito Er, la cual se llamaba Thamar.

And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.

Judah took a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.

Ger aber, Judas Erstgeborener, machte sich dem Herrn mißfällig, und so ließ ihn der Herr sterben.

Y Er, el primogénito de Judá, fué malo á los ojos de Jehová, y quitóle Jehová la vida.

And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the LORD’s sight. So the LORD killed him.

Da sprach Juda zu Onan: "Komm zu dem Weibe deines Bruders! Leiste ihr die Schwagerpflicht und erwecke deinem Bruder Nachkommen!"

Entonces Judá dijo á Onán: Entra á la mujer de tu hermano, y despósate con ella, y suscita simiente á tu hermano.

And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.

Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.”

Onan aber wußte, daß ihm die Nachkommenschaft nicht gehören würde; als er nun zu seines Bruders Weibe kam, vereitelte er die Zeugung, um nicht seinem Bruder Nachkommen zu schenken.

Y sabiendo Onán que la simiente no había de ser suya, sucedía que cuando entraba á la mujer de su hermano vertía en tierra, por no dar simiente á su hermano.

And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

Onan knew that the offspring wouldn’t be his; and when he went in to his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother.

Dem Herrn aber mißfiel, was er getan, und er ließ auch ihn sterben.

Y desagradó en ojos de Jehová lo que hacía, y también quitó á él la vida.

And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

The thing which he did was evil in the LORD’s sight, and he killed him also.

Da sprach Juda zu seiner Schwiegertochter Tamar: "Bleib als Witwe in deines Vaters Haus, bis mein Sohn Sela erwachsen ist!" Denn er dachte, auch dieser könnte wie seine Brüder sterben. Tamar ging nun und blieb in ihres Vaters Haus.

Y Judá dijo á Thamar su nuera: Estáte viuda en casa de tu padre, hasta que crezca Sela mi hijo; porque dijo: Que quizá no muera él también como sus hermanos. Y fuése Thamar, y estúvose en casa de su padre.

Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father’s house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.

Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;” for he said, “Lest he also die, like his brothers.” Tamar went and lived in her father’s house.

Längere Zeit verstrich; da starb Suas Tochter, Judas Weib. Als Juda ausgetrauert hatte, ging er hinauf zu seiner Schafschur mit seinem Freunde, dem Adullamiter Chira, nach Timna.

Y pasaron muchos días, y murió la hija de Súa, mujer de Judá; y Judá se consoló, y subía á los trasquiladores de sus ovejas á Timnath, él y su amigo Hira el Adullamita.

And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah’s wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.

After many days, Shua’s daughter, the wife of Judah, died. Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheep shearers to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah, the Adullamite.

Da ward Tamar gemeldet: "Dein Schwiegervater kommt nach Timna zur Schafschur."

Y fué dado aviso á Thamar, diciendo: He aquí tu suegro sube á Timnath á trasquilar sus ovejas.

And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

Tamar was told, “Behold, your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.”

Da legte sie ihre Witwenkleider ab, bedeckte sich mit dem Schleier, vermummte sich und setzte sich an den Zugang nach Enaim, am Wege nach Timna. Sie hatte nämlich bemerkt, daß Sela erwachsen war, und dennoch war sie ihm nicht zum Weibe gegeben worden.

Entonces quitó ella de sobre sí los vestidos de su viudez, y cubrióse con un velo, y arrebozóse, y se puso á la puerta de las aguas que están junto al camino de Timnath; porque veía que había crecido Sela, y ella no era dada á él por mujer.

And she put her widow’s garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.

She took off the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gate of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she wasn’t given to him as a wife.

Juda aber sah sie und hielt sie für eine Dirne; denn sie hatte ihr Gesicht verhüllt.

Y vióla Judá, y túvola por ramera, porque había ella cubierto su rostro.

When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

When Judah saw her, he thought that she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face.

Und er bog zu ihr an den Weg ab und sprach: "Laß mich, bitte, zu dir kommen!" Denn er merkte nicht, daß es seine Schwiegertochter war. Sie sprach: "Was gibst du mir dafür, wenn du zu mir kommen darfst?"

Y apartóse del camino hacia ella, y díjole: Ea, pues, ahora entraré á ti; porque no sabía que era su nuera; y ella dijo: ¿Qué me has de dar, si entrares á mí?

And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?

He turned to her by the way, and said, “Please come, let me come in to you,” for he didn’t know that she was his daughter-in-law. She said, “What will you give me, that you may come in to me?”

Er sprach: "Ich sende dir ein Ziegenböckchen von der Herde." Sie sprach: "Wenn du mir ein Pfand gibst, bis du's schickst."

El respondió: Yo te enviaré del ganado un cabrito de las cabras. Y ella dijo: Hasme de dar prenda hasta que lo envíes.

And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?

He said, “I will send you a young goat from the flock.” She said, “Will you give me a pledge, until you send it?”

Er sprach: "Was für ein Pfand soll ich dir geben?" Sie sprach: "Dein Siegel, deine Schnur und den Stab in deiner Hand!" Er gab es ihr; dann kam er zu ihr, und sie empfing von ihm.

Entonces él dijo: ¿Qué prenda te daré? Ella respondió: Tu anillo, y tu manto, y tu bordón que tienes en tu mano. Y él se los dió, y entró á ella, la cual concibió de él.

And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.

He said, “What pledge will I give you?” She said, “Your signet and your cord, and your staff that is in your hand.” He gave them to her, and came in to her, and she conceived by him.

Dann erhob sie sich, legte ihren Schleier ab und zog ihre Witwenkleider wieder an.

Y levantóse, y fuése: y quitóse el velo de sobre sí, y vistióse las ropas de su viudez.

And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

She arose, and went away, and put off her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

Juda sandte nun das Ziegenböckchen durch seinen Freund, den Adullamiter, um dafür das Pfand von dem Weibe zurückzuerhalten. Aber er fand sie nicht mehr.

Y Judá envió el cabrito de las cabras por mano de su amigo el Adullamita, para que tomase la prenda de mano de la mujer; mas no la halló.

And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman’s hand: but he found her not.

Judah sent the young goat by the hand of his friend, the Adullamite, to receive the pledge from the woman’s hand, but he didn’t find her.

Da fragte er die Leute ihres Ortes: "Wo ist die Weihdirne, die hier bei Enaim am Wege gewesen ist?" Sie sprachen: "Hier ist doch keine Dirne gewesen."

Y preguntó á los hombres de aquel lugar, diciendo: ¿Dónde está la ramera de las aguas junto al camino? Y ellos le dijeron: No ha estado aquí ramera.

Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.

Then he asked the men of her place, saying, “Where is the prostitute, that was at Enaim by the road?” They said, “There has been no prostitute here.”

Da kehrte er zu Juda zurück und sprach: "Ich fand sie nicht, und auch die Leute im Orte sagten: "Hier war keine Dirne."

Entonces él se volvió á Judá, y dijo: No la he hallado; y también los hombres del lugar dijeron: Aquí no ha estado ramera.

And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.

He returned to Judah, and said, “I haven’t found her; and also the men of the place said, ‘There has been no prostitute here.’”

Da sprach Juda: "So mag sie's behalten! Daß wir nur nicht zum Gespött werden! Ich aber habe dies Böckchen geschickt, und du hast sie nur nicht gefunden."

Y Judá dijo: Tómeselo para sí, porque no seamos menospreciados: he aquí yo he enviado este cabrito, y tú no la hallaste.

And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.

Judah said, “Let her keep it, lest we be shamed. Behold, I sent this young goat, and you haven’t found her.”

Nach ungefähr drei Monaten ward Juda berichtet: "Deine Schwiegertochter Tamar hat nicht nur gebuhlt, sondern ist durch die Buhlerei auch in Hoffnung gekommen." Da sprach Juda: "Führt sie hinaus! Sie werde verbrannt!"

Y acaeció que al cabo de unos tres meses fué dado aviso á Judá, diciendo: Thamar tu nuera ha fornicado, y aun cierto está preñada de las fornicaciones. Y Judá dijo: Sacadla, y sea quemada.

And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

About three months later, Judah was told, “Tamar, your daughter-in-law, has played the prostitute. Moreover, behold, she is with child by prostitution.” Judah said, “Bring her out, and let her be burned.”

Schon wurde sie hinausgeführt, da schickte sie zu ihrem Schwiegervater und ließ sagen: "Von jenem Mann, dem dies gehört, bin ich guter Hoffnung." Sie ließ ihm auch sagen: "Sieh doch genau zu! Wem gehört dies, das Siegel, die Schnüre und der Stab?"

Y ella, cuando la sacaban, envió á decir á su suegro: Del varón cuyas son estas cosas, estoy preñada: y dijo más: Mira ahora cúyas son estas cosas, el anillo, y el manto, y el bordón.

When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.

When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, “I am with child by the man who owns these.” She also said, “Please discern whose these are—the signet, and the cords, and the staff.”

Und Juda betrachtete sie und sprach: "Sie hat recht gegen mich. Warum habe ich sie nicht meinem Sohne Sela gegeben?" Er aber hatte fortan keinen Umgang mehr mit ihr.

Entonces Judá los reconoció, y dijo: Más justa es que yo, por cuanto no la he dado á Sela mi hijo. Y nunca más la conoció.

And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

Judah acknowledged them, and said, “She is more righteous than I, because I didn’t give her to Shelah, my son.” He knew her again no more.

Zur Zeit ihres Gebärens aber waren Zwillinge in ihrem Leibe.

Y aconteció que al tiempo del parir, he aquí había dos en su vientre.

And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

Als sie gebar, streckte der eine eine Hand vor. Da nahm die Hebamme einen roten Faden und band ihn um seine Hand, wobei sie sprach: "Dieser ist zuerst herausgetreten."

Y sucedió, cuando paría, que sacó la mano el uno, y la partera tomó y ató á su mano un hilo de grana, diciendo: Este salió primero.

And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

When she travailed, one put out a hand, and the midwife took and tied a scarlet thread on his hand, saying, “This came out first.”

Als er aber seine Hand zurückzog, kam sein Bruder zum Vorschein. Da sprach sie: "Wie du dir einen Vorläufer bestellt hast!" Und man nannte ihn Peres.

Empero fué que tornando él á meter la mano, he aquí su hermano salió; y ella dijo: ¿Por qué has hecho sobre ti rotura? Y llamó su nombre Phares.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

As he drew back his hand, behold, his brother came out, and she said, “Why have you made a breach for yourself?” Therefore his name was called Perez.

Hernach kam sein Bruder zum Vorschein, an dessen Hand der rote Faden war. Und man nannte ihn Zerach.

Y después salió su hermano, el que tenía en su mano el hilo de grana, y llamó su nombre Zara.

And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.

Afterward his brother came out, who had the scarlet thread on his hand, and his name was called Zerah.
