Da sprach Juda zu Onan: Gehe ein zu dem Weibe deines Bruders, und leiste ihr die Schwagerpflicht und erwecke deinem Bruder Samen.
Entonces Judá dijo á Onán: Entra á la mujer de tu hermano, y despósate con ella, y suscita simiente á tu hermano.
And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.
Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.”
Da aber Onan wußte, daß der Same nicht sein eigen sein sollte, so geschah es, wenn er zu dem Weibe seines Bruders einging, daß er ihn verderbte zur Erde, um seinem Bruder keinen Samen zu geben.
Y sabiendo Onán que la simiente no había de ser suya, sucedía que cuando entraba á la mujer de su hermano vertía en tierra, por no dar simiente á su hermano.
And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

Und es war übel in den Augen Jehovas, was er tat; und er tötete auch ihn.
Y desagradó en ojos de Jehová lo que hacía, y también quitó á él la vida.
And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

Da sprach Juda zu Tamar, seiner Schwiegertochter: Bleibe Witwe im Hause deines Vaters, bis mein Sohn Schela groß sein wird. Denn er sagte: Daß nicht auch er sterbe wie seine Brüder! Und Tamar ging hin und blieb im Hause ihres Vaters.
Y Judá dijo á Thamar su nuera: Estáte viuda en casa de tu padre, hasta que crezca Sela mi hijo; porque dijo: Que quizá no muera él también como sus hermanos. Y fuése Thamar, y estúvose en casa de su padre.
Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father’s house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.
Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;” for he said, “Lest he also die, like his brothers.” Tamar went and lived in her father’s house.
Als der Tage viele geworden, da starb die Tochter Schuas, das Weib Judas. Und als Juda getröstet war, ging er zu seinen Schafscherern hinauf, er und Hira, sein Freund, der Adullamiter, nach Timna.
Y pasaron muchos días, y murió la hija de Súa, mujer de Judá; y Judá se consoló, y subía á los trasquiladores de sus ovejas á Timnath, él y su amigo Hira el Adullamita.
And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah’s wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.
After many days, Shua’s daughter, the wife of Judah, died. Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheep shearers to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah, the Adullamite.
Und es wurde der Tamar berichtet und gesagt: Siehe, dein Schwiegervater geht nach Timna hinauf, um seine Schafe zu scheren.
Y fué dado aviso á Thamar, diciendo: He aquí tu suegro sube á Timnath á trasquilar sus ovejas.
And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.
Tamar was told, “Behold, your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.”
Da legte sie die Kleider ihrer Witwenschaft von sich und bedeckte sich mit einem Schleier und verhüllte sich; und sie setzte sich an den Eingang von Enaim, das am Wege nach Timna liegt; denn sie sah, daß Schela groß geworden war und sie ihm nicht zum Weibe gegeben wurde.
Entonces quitó ella de sobre sí los vestidos de su viudez, y cubrióse con un velo, y arrebozóse, y se puso á la puerta de las aguas que están junto al camino de Timnath; porque veía que había crecido Sela, y ella no era dada á él por mujer.
And she put her widow’s garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.
She took off the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gate of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she wasn’t given to him as a wife.
Und Juda sah sie und hielt sie für eine Hure, denn sie hatte ihr Angesicht bedeckt.
Y vióla Judá, y túvola por ramera, porque había ella cubierto su rostro.
When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

Y apartóse del camino hacia ella, y díjole: Ea, pues, ahora entraré á ti; porque no sabía que era su nuera; y ella dijo: ¿Qué me has de dar, si entrares á mí?
And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?
He turned to her by the way, and said, “Please come, let me come in to you,” for he didn’t know that she was his daughter-in-law. She said, “What will you give me, that you may come in to me?”
Da sprach er: Ich will dir ein Ziegenböcklein von der Herde senden. Und sie sprach: Wenn du ein Pfand gibst, bis du es sendest.
El respondió: Yo te enviaré del ganado un cabrito de las cabras. Y ella dijo: Hasme de dar prenda hasta que lo envíes.
And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?
He said, “I will send you a young goat from the flock.” She said, “Will you give me a pledge, until you send it?”
Und er sprach: Was für ein Pfand soll ich dir geben? Und sie sprach: Deinen Siegelring und deine Schnur und deinen Stab, der in deiner Hand ist. Da gab er es ihr und ging zu ihr ein, und sie ward schwanger von ihm.
Entonces él dijo: ¿Qué prenda te daré? Ella respondió: Tu anillo, y tu manto, y tu bordón que tienes en tu mano. Y él se los dió, y entró á ella, la cual concibió de él.
And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
He said, “What pledge will I give you?” She said, “Your signet and your cord, and your staff that is in your hand.” He gave them to her, and came in to her, and she conceived by him.
Und sie stand auf und ging hin, und sie legte ihren Schleier von sich und zog die Kleider ihrer Witwenschaft an.
Y levantóse, y fuése: y quitóse el velo de sobre sí, y vistióse las ropas de su viudez.
And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

Und Juda sandte das Ziegenböcklein durch die Hand seines Freundes, des Adullamiters, um das Pfand aus der Hand des Weibes zu nehmen; aber er fand sie nicht.
Y Judá envió el cabrito de las cabras por mano de su amigo el Adullamita, para que tomase la prenda de mano de la mujer; mas no la halló.
And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman’s hand: but he found her not.

Und er fragte die Leute ihres Ortes und sprach: Wo ist jene Buhlerin, die zu Enaim am Wege war? Und sie sprachen: Hier ist keine Buhlerin gewesen.
Y preguntó á los hombres de aquel lugar, diciendo: ¿Dónde está la ramera de las aguas junto al camino? Y ellos le dijeron: No ha estado aquí ramera.
Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.
Then he asked the men of her place, saying, “Where is the prostitute, that was at Enaim by the road?” They said, “There has been no prostitute here.”
Und er kehrte zu Juda zurück und sprach: Ich habe sie nicht gefunden, und auch sagten die Leute des Ortes: Hier ist keine Buhlerin gewesen.
Entonces él se volvió á Judá, y dijo: No la he hallado; y también los hombres del lugar dijeron: Aquí no ha estado ramera.
And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.
He returned to Judah, and said, “I haven’t found her; and also the men of the place said, ‘There has been no prostitute here.’”
Da sprach Juda: Sie behalte es für sich, daß wir nicht zum Gespött werden; siehe, ich habe dieses Böcklein gesandt, und du hast sie ja nicht gefunden.
Y Judá dijo: Tómeselo para sí, porque no seamos menospreciados: he aquí yo he enviado este cabrito, y tú no la hallaste.
And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.
Judah said, “Let her keep it, lest we be shamed. Behold, I sent this young goat, and you haven’t found her.”
Und es geschah nach etwa drei Monaten, da wurde dem Juda berichtet und gesagt: Tamar, deine Schwiegertochter, hat gehurt, und siehe, sie ist auch schwanger von Hurerei. Da sprach Juda: Führet sie hinaus, daß sie verbrannt werde!
Y acaeció que al cabo de unos tres meses fué dado aviso á Judá, diciendo: Thamar tu nuera ha fornicado, y aun cierto está preñada de las fornicaciones. Y Judá dijo: Sacadla, y sea quemada.
And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.
About three months later, Judah was told, “Tamar, your daughter-in-law, has played the prostitute. Moreover, behold, she is with child by prostitution.” Judah said, “Bring her out, and let her be burned.”
Als sie hinausgeführt wurde, da sandte sie zu ihrem Schwiegervater und ließ ihm sagen: Von dem Manne, dem dieses gehört, bin ich schwanger; und sie sprach: Erkenne doch, wem dieser Siegelring und diese Schnur und dieser Stab gehört!
Y ella, cuando la sacaban, envió á decir á su suegro: Del varón cuyas son estas cosas, estoy preñada: y dijo más: Mira ahora cúyas son estas cosas, el anillo, y el manto, y el bordón.
When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.
When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, “I am with child by the man who owns these.” She also said, “Please discern whose these are—the signet, and the cords, and the staff.”
Und Juda erkannte es und sprach: Sie ist gerechter als ich, darum daß ich sie nicht meinem Sohne Schela gegeben habe; und er erkannte sie hinfort nicht mehr.
Entonces Judá los reconoció, y dijo: Más justa es que yo, por cuanto no la he dado á Sela mi hijo. Y nunca más la conoció.
And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

Und es geschah zur Zeit, als sie gebären sollte, siehe, da waren Zwillinge in ihrem Leibe.

And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

Und es geschah, als er seine Hand zurückzog, siehe, da kam sein Bruder heraus; und sie sprach: Wie bist du durchgebrochen! Auf dir sei der Bruch! Und man gab ihm den Namen Perez.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

Y después salió su hermano, el que tenía en su mano el hilo de grana, y llamó su nombre Zara.
And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.
