Y respondiéronle sus hermanos: ¿Has de reinar tú sobre nosotros, ó te has de enseñorear sobre nosotros? Y le aborrecieron aún más á causa de sus sueños y de sus palabras.

Son pronto, gli disse: Va', e vedi, se tutto va bene riguardo a' tuoi fratelli, e ai bestiami; e riportami quello che ivi si fa. Spedito dalla valle di Hebron arrivò a Sichem:

And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.

Ma Ruben udito questo si affaticava di liberarlo dalle loro mani, e diceva:

And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.

E mentre passavano quei mercanti Madianiti, avendolo tratto dalla cisterna lo venderono a certi Ismaeliti per venti monete d'argento: e questi lo condussero in Egitto.
Y como pasaban los Midianitas mercaderes, sacaron ellos á José de la cisterna, y trajéronle arriba, y le vendieron á los Ismaelitas por veinte piezas de plata. Y llevaron á José á Egipto.
Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

E stracciatesi le vesti, andò a trovare i suoi fratelli, e disse: Il fanciullo non si vede, e io dove anderò?

And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son’s coat or no.
