Or Dieu dit à Jacob : Lève-toi, monte à Béthel, et demeure là, et y dresse un autel au Dieu Fort qui t’apparut, quand tu t’enfuyais de devant Esaü ton frère.

Y DIJO Dios á Jacob: Levántate, sube á Beth-el, y estáte allí; y haz allí un altar al Dios que te apareció cuando huías de tu hermano Esaú.

And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth-el, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to Bethel, and live there. Make there an altar to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.”

Et Jacob dit à sa famille, et à tous ceux qui étaient avec lui : Otez les Dieux des étrangers qui sont au milieu de vous, et vous purifiez, et changez de vêtements.

Entonces Jacob dijo á su familia y á todos los que con él estaban: Quitad los dioses ajenos que hay entre vosotros, y limpiaos, y mudad vuestros vestidos.

Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

Et levons-nous, et montons à Béthel, et je ferai là un autel au Dieu Fort qui m’a répondu au jour de ma détresse, et qui a été avec moi dans le chemin où j’ai marché.

Y levantémonos, y subamos á Beth-el; y haré allí altar al Dios que me respondió en el día de mi angustia, y ha sido conmigo en el camino que he andado.

And let us arise, and go up to Beth-el; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

Let’s arise, and go up to Bethel. I will make there an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me on the way which I went.”

Alors ils donnèrent à Jacob tous les Dieux des étrangers qu’ils avaient en leurs mains, et les bagues qui étaient à leurs oreilles, et il les cacha sous un chêne qui était auprès de Sichem.

Así dieron á Jacob todos los dioses ajenos que había en poder de ellos, y los zarzillos que estaban en sus orejas; y Jacob los escondió debajo de una encina, que estaba junto á Sichêm.

And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.

Puis ils partirent ; et la frayeur de Dieu fut sur les villes des environs ; tellement qu’ils ne poursuivirent point les enfants de Jacob.

Y partiéronse, y el terror de Dios fué sobre las ciudades que había en sus alrededores, y no siguieron tras los hijos de Jacob.

And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

Ainsi Jacob, et tout le peuple qui était avec lui, vint à Luz, qui est au pays de Canaan, laquelle est Béthel.

Y llegó Jacob á Luz, que está en tierra de Canaán, (esta es Beth-el) él y todo el pueblo que con él estaba;

So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Beth-el, he and all the people that were with him.

Et il y bâtit un autel, et nomma ce lieu-là, le Dieu Fort de Béthel ; car Dieu lui était apparu là, quand il s’enfuyait de devant son frère.

Y edificó allí un altar, y llamó al lugar El-Beth-el, porque allí le había aparecido Dios, cuando huía de su hermano.

And he built there an altar, and called the place El-beth-el: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

Alors mourut Débora, la nourrice de Rébecca, et elle fut ensevelie au-dessous de Béthel sous un chêne, qui fut appelé Allon-bacuth.

Entonces murió Débora, ama de Rebeca, y fué sepultada á las raíces de Beth-el, debajo de una encina: y llamóse su nombre Allon-Bacuth.

But Deborah Rebekah’s nurse died, and she was buried beneath Beth-el under an oak: and the name of it was called Allon-bachuth.

Dieu apparut encore à Jacob, quand il venait de Paddan-Aram, et le bénit,

Y aparecióse otra vez Dios á Jacob, cuando se había vuelto de Padan-aram, y bendíjole.

And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padan-aram, and blessed him.

Y díjole Dios: Tu nombre es Jacob; no se llamará más tu nombre Jacob, sino Israel será tu nombre: y llamó su nombre Israel.

And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.

God said to him, “Your name is Jacob. Your name shall not be Jacob any more, but your name will be Israel.” He named him Israel.

Dieu lui dit aussi : Je suis le Dieu Fort, Tout-Puissant : augmente, et multiplie : une nation, même une multitude de nations naîtra de toi, même des Rois sortiront de tes reins ;

Y díjole Dios: Yo soy el Dios Omnipotente: crece y multiplícate; una nación y conjunto de naciones procederá de ti, y reyes saldrán de tus lomos:

And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

God said to him, “I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations will be from you, and kings will come out of your body.

Et je te donnerai le pays que j’ai donné à Abraham et à Isaac, et je le donnerai à ta postérité après toi.

Y la tierra que yo he dado á Abraham y á Isaac, la daré á ti: y á tu simiente después de ti daré la tierra.

And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.

The land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac, I will give it to you, and to your offspring after you I will give the land.”

Et Dieu remonta d’avec lui du lieu où il lui avait parlé.

Y fuése de él Dios, del lugar donde con él había hablado.

And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him.

Et Jacob dressa un monument au lieu où Dieu lui avait parlé, savoir une pierre pour monument, et il répandit dessus une aspersion, et y versa de l’huile.

Y Jacob erigió un título en el lugar donde había hablado con él, un título de piedra, y derramó sobre él libación, y echó sobre él aceite.

And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.

Jacob donc nomma le lieu où Dieu lui avait parlé, Béthel.

Y llamó Jacob el nombre de aquel lugar donde Dios había hablado con él, Beth-el.

And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Beth-el.

Jacob called the name of the place where God spoke with him “Bethel”.

Puis ils partirent de Béthel, et il y avait encore quelque petit espace de pays pour arriver à Ephrat, lorsque Rachel accoucha, et elle fut dans un grand travail.

Y partieron de Beth-el, y había aún como media legua de tierra para llegar á Ephrata, cuando parió Rachêl, y hubo trabajo en su parto.

And they journeyed from Beth-el; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.

They traveled from Bethel. There was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and Rachel travailed. She had hard labor.

Et comme elle avait beaucoup de peine à accoucher, la sage-femme lui dit : Ne crains point ; car tu as encore ici un fils.

Y aconteció, que como había trabajo en su parir, díjole la partera: No temas, que también tendrás este hijo.

And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.

When she was in hard labor, the midwife said to her, “Don’t be afraid, for now you will have another son.”

Et comme elle rendait l’âme, (car elle mourut,) elle nomma l’enfant Bénoni ; mais son père le nomma Benjamin.

Y acaeció que al salírsele el alma, (pues murió) llamó su nombre Benoni; mas su padre lo llamó Benjamín.

And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin.

As her soul was departing (for she died), she named him Benoni, but his father named him Benjamin.

C’est ainsi que mourut Rachel, et elle fut ensevelie au chemin d’Ephrat, qui est Bethléhem.

Así murió Rachêl, y fué sepultada en el camino de Ephrata, la cual es Beth-lehem.

And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem.

Et Jacob dressa un monument sur son sépulcre. C’est le monument du sépulcre de Rachel qui subsiste encore aujourd’hui.

Y puso Jacob un título sobre su sepultura: este es el título de la sepultura de Rachêl hasta hoy.

And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel’s grave unto this day.

Jacob set up a pillar on her grave. The same is the Pillar of Rachel’s grave to this day.

Puis Israël partit, et dressa ses tentes au-delà de Migdal-Héder.

Y partió Israel, y tendió su tienda de la otra parte de Migdaleder.

And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Edar.

Israel traveled, and spread his tent beyond the tower of Eder.

Et il arriva que quand Israël demeurait en ce pays-là, Ruben vint, et coucha avec Bilha, concubine de son père ; et Israël l’apprit. Or Jacob avait douze fils.

Y acaeció, morando Israel en aquella tierra, que fué Rubén y durmió con Bilha la concubina de su padre; lo cual llegó á entender Israel. Ahora bien, los hijos de Israel fueron doce:

And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:

While Israel lived in that land, Reuben went and lay with Bilhah, his father’s concubine, and Israel heard of it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve.

Les fils de Léa étaient Ruben, premier-né de Jacob, Siméon, Lévi, Juda, Issacar, et Zabulon.

Los hijos de Lea: Rubén el primogénito de Jacob, y Simeón, y Leví, y Judá, é Issachâr, y Zabulón.

The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun:

The sons of Leah: Reuben (Jacob’s firstborn), Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.

Les fils de Rachel, Joseph et Benjamin.

Los hijos de Rachêl: José, y Benjamín.

And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali:

The sons of Bilhah (Rachel’s servant): Dan and Naphtali.

Les fils de Zilpa, servante de Léa, Gad et Aser. Ce sont là les enfants de Jacob, qui lui naquirent en Paddan-Aram.

Y los hijos de Zilpa, sierva de Lea: Gad, y Aser. Estos fueron los hijos de Jacob, que le nacieron en Padan-aram.

And the sons of Zilpah, Leah’s handmaid; Gad, and Asher: these are the sons of Jacob, which were born to him in Padan-aram.

The sons of Zilpah (Leah’s servant): Gad and Asher. These are the sons of Jacob, who were born to him in Paddan Aram.

Et Jacob vint vers Isaac son père en la plaine de Mamré à Kirjath-arbah, qui est Hébron, où Abraham et Isaac avaient demeuré comme étrangers.

Y vino Jacob á Isaac su padre á Mamre, á la ciudad de Arba, que es Hebrón, donde habitaron Abraham é Isaac.

And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.

Jacob came to Isaac his father, to Mamre, to Kiriath Arba (which is Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac lived as foreigners.

Et le temps qu’Isaac vécut, fut cent quatre-vingts ans.

Y fueron los días de Isaac ciento ochenta años.

And the days of Isaac were an hundred and fourscore years.

Ainsi Isaac défaillant mourut, et fut recueilli avec ses peuples, âgé et rassasié de jours ; et Esaü et Jacob ses fils l’ensevelirent.

Y exhaló Isaac el espíritu, y murió, y fué recogido á sus pueblos, viejo y harto de días; y sepultáronlo Esaú y Jacob sus hijos.

And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto his people, being old and full of days: and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.
