Dina aber, Leas Tochter, welche sie dem Jakob geboren hatte, ging aus, um die Töchter des Landes zu sehen.

Y SALIÓ Dina la hija de Lea, la cual había ésta parido á Jacob, á ver las hijas del país.

And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.

Als nun Sichem, der Sohn Hemors, des hevitischen Landesfürsten, sie sah, nahm er sie und tat ihr Gewalt an.

Y vióla Sichêm, hijo de Hamor Heveo, príncipe de aquella tierra, y tomóla, y echóse con ella, y la deshonró.

And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.

Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her. He took her, lay with her, and humbled her.

Und er wurde anhänglich an Dina, die Tochter Jakobs, und gewann das Mädchen lieb und redete ihr zu.

Mas su alma se apegó á Dina la hija de Lea, y enamoróse de la moza, y habló al corazón de la joven.

And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel.

His soul joined to Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the young lady, and spoke kindly to the young lady.

Und Sichem sprach zu seinem Vater Hemor: Nimm mir dieses Mägdlein zum Weibe!

Y habló Sichêm á Hamor su padre, diciendo: Tómame por mujer esta moza.

And Shechem spake unto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damsel to wife.

Shechem spoke to his father, Hamor, saying, “Get me this young lady as a wife.”

Jakob aber hatte vernommen, daß man seine Tochter Dina entehrt hatte; weil aber seine Söhne beim Vieh auf dem Felde waren, so schwieg er, bis sie kamen.

Y oyó Jacob que había Sichêm amancillado á Dina su hija: y estando sus hijos con su ganado en el campo, calló Jacob hasta que ellos viniesen.

And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come.

Now Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah, his daughter; and his sons were with his livestock in the field. Jacob held his peace until they came.

Inzwischen kam Hemor, Sichems Vater, zu Jakob, um mit ihm zu reden.

Y dirigióse Hamor padre de Sichêm á Jacob, para hablar con él.

And Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto Jacob to commune with him.

Als aber die Söhne Jakobs solches hörten, kamen sie vom Felde; und die Männer waren schwer beleidigt und sehr entrüstet, daß man eine solche Schandtat an Israel begangen und Jakobs Tochter beschlafen hatte; denn so pflegte man nicht zu tun.

Y los hijos de Jacob vinieron del campo cuando lo supieron; y se entristecieron los varones, y se ensañaron mucho, porque hizo vileza en Israel echándose con la hija de Jacob, lo que no se debía haber hecho.

And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob’s daughter; which thing ought not to be done.

Hemor aber redete mit ihnen und sprach: Mein Sohn Sichem hängt an eurer Tochter; gebt sie ihm doch zum Weibe!

Y Hamor habló con ellos, diciendo: El alma de mi hijo Sichêm se ha apegado á vuestra hija; ruégoos que se la deis por mujer.

And Hamor communed with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longeth for your daughter: I pray you give her him to wife.

Hamor talked with them, saying, “The soul of my son, Shechem, longs for your daughter. Please give her to him as a wife.

Verschwägert euch mit uns; gebt uns eure Töchter und nehmt ihr unsere Töchter!

Y emparentad con nosotros; dadnos vuestras hijas, y tomad vosotros las nuestras.

And make ye marriages with us, and give your daughters unto us, and take our daughters unto you.

Make marriages with us. Give your daughters to us, and take our daughters for yourselves.

Bleibt bei uns; das Land soll euch offenstehen; siedelt euch an, bewegt euch frei darin und erwerbt Grundbesitz!

Y habitad con nosotros; porque la tierra estará delante de vosotros; morad y negociad en ella, y tomad en ella posesión.

And ye shall dwell with us: and the land shall be before you; dwell and trade ye therein, and get you possessions therein.

You shall dwell with us, and the land will be before you. Live and trade in it, and get possessions in it.”

Und Sichem sprach zu ihrem Vater und zu ihren Brüdern: Laßt mich Gnade finden vor euren Augen; was ihr von mir fordert, das will ich geben!

Sichêm también dijo á su padre y á sus hermanos: Halle yo gracia en vuestros ojos, y daré lo que me dijereis.

And Shechem said unto her father and unto her brethren, Let me find grace in your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give.

Shechem said to her father and to her brothers, “Let me find favor in your eyes, and whatever you will tell me I will give.

Mögt ihr von mir noch so viel Morgengabe und Geschenke verlangen, ich will es geben, sobald ihr es fordert; gebt mir nur das Mädchen zum Weibe!

Aumentad á cargo mío mucho dote y dones, que yo daré cuanto me dijereis, y dadme la moza por mujer.

Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.

Ask me a great amount for a dowry, and I will give whatever you ask of me, but give me the young lady as a wife.”

Da antworteten die Söhne Jakobs dem Sichem und seinem Vater Hemor in trügerischer Weise, weil er ihre Schwester Dina entehrt hatte,

Y respondieron los hijos de Jacob á Sichêm y á Hamor su padre con engaño; y parlaron, por cuanto había amancillado á Dina su hermana.

And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled Dinah their sister:

The sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father with deceit when they spoke, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,

und sprachen zu ihnen: Wir können das nicht tun, daß wir unsre Schwester einem unbeschnittenen Manne geben; denn das wäre eine Schande für uns;

Y dijéronles: No podemos hacer esto de dar nuestra hermana á hombre que tiene prepucio; porque entre nosotros es abominación.

And they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us:

and said to them, “We can’t do this thing, to give our sister to one who is uncircumcised; for that is a reproach to us.

nur unter einer Bedingung können wir euch willfahren, daß ihr nämlich werdet wie wir, indem ihr alles, was männlich ist, beschneiden lasset.

Mas con esta condición os haremos placer: si habéis de ser como nosotros, que se circuncide entre vosotros todo varón;

But in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised;

Only on this condition will we consent to you. If you will be as we are, that every male of you be circumcised,

Dann wollen wir euch unsre Töchter geben und uns eure Töchter nehmen und mit euch zusammenwohnen und zu einem Volke werden.

Entonces os daremos nuestras hijas, y tomaremos nosotros las vuestras; y habitaremos con vosotros, y seremos un pueblo.

Then will we give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.

then will we give our daughters to you; and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.

Wollt ihr uns aber nicht gehorchen, daß ihr euch beschneiden lasset, so nehmen wir unsere Tochter und gehen!

Mas si no nos prestareis oído para circuncidaros, tomaremos nuestra hija, y nos iremos.

But if ye will not hearken unto us, to be circumcised; then will we take our daughter, and we will be gone.

But if you will not listen to us and be circumcised, then we will take our sister, and we will be gone.”

Ihre Rede gefiel Hemor und seinem Sohne Sichem wohl;

Y parecieron bien sus palabras á Hamor y á Sichêm, hijo de Hamor.

And their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamor’s son.

Their words pleased Hamor and Shechem, Hamor’s son.

und der Jüngling zögerte nicht, solches zu tun; denn er hatte Lust zu der Tochter Jakobs und war der Angesehenste von seines Vaters Hause.

Y no dilató el mozo hacer aquello, porque la hija de Jacob le había agradado: y él era el más honrado de toda la casa de su padre.

And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob’s daughter: and he was more honourable than all the house of his father.

The young man didn’t wait to do this thing, because he had delight in Jacob’s daughter, and he was honored above all the house of his father.

Als nun Hemor und sein Sohn Sichem zum Tor ihrer Stadt kamen, redeten sie mit den Bürgern ihrer Stadt und sprachen:

Entonces Hamor y Sichêm su hijo vinieron á la puerta de su ciudad, y hablaron á los varones de su ciudad, diciendo:

And Hamor and Shechem his son came unto the gate of their city, and communed with the men of their city, saying,

Hamor and Shechem, his son, came to the gate of their city, and talked with the men of their city, saying,

Diese Leute meinen es gut mit uns; sie sollen im Lande wohnen und verkehren! Hat doch das Land Raum genug für sie. Wir wollen uns ihre Töchter zu Weibern nehmen und ihnen unsre Töchter geben.

Estos varones son pacíficos con nosotros, y habitarán en el país, y traficarán en él: pues he aquí la tierra es bastante ancha para ellos: nosotros tomaremos sus hijas por mujeres, y les daremos las nuestras.

These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.

“These men are peaceful with us. Therefore let them live in the land and trade in it. For behold, the land is large enough for them. Let’s take their daughters to us for wives, and let’s give them our daughters.

Nur das verlangen sie von uns, wenn sie unter uns wohnen und sich mit uns zu einem Volke verschmelzen sollen, daß wir alles, was männlich ist unter uns, beschneiden, gleichwie auch sie beschnitten sind.

Mas con esta condición nos harán estos hombres el placer de habitar con nosotros, para que seamos un pueblo: si se circuncidare en nosotros todo varón, así como ellos son circuncidados.

Only herein will the men consent unto us for to dwell with us, to be one people, if every male among us be circumcised, as they are circumcised.

Only on this condition will the men consent to us to live with us, to become one people, if every male among us is circumcised, as they are circumcised.

Ihre Herden und ihre Habe und all ihr Vieh werden dann unser sein; lasset uns ihnen nur willfahren, damit sie bei uns bleiben!

Sus ganados, y su hacienda y todas sus bestias, serán nuestras: solamente convengamos con ellos, y habitarán con nosotros.

Shall not their cattle and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? only let us consent unto them, and they will dwell with us.

Won’t their livestock and their possessions and all their animals be ours? Only let’s give our consent to them, and they will dwell with us.”

Da gehorchten dem Hemor und seinem Sohne Sichem alle, die im Tore seiner Stadt aus und eingingen.

Y obedecieron á Hamor y á Sichêm su hijo todos los que salían por la puerta de la ciudad, y circuncidaron á todo varón, á cuantos salían por la puerta de su ciudad.

And unto Hamor and unto Shechem his son hearkened all that went out of the gate of his city; and every male was circumcised, all that went out of the gate of his city.

All who went out of the gate of his city listened to Hamor, and to Shechem his son; and every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.

Es begab sich aber am dritten Tag, da sie wundkrank waren, daß die beiden Söhne Jakobs, Simeon und Levi, Dinas Brüder, ein jeder sein Schwert nahmen und unversehens in die Stadt eindrangen und alles Männliche umbrachten.

Y sucedió que al tercer día, cuando sentían ellos el mayor dolor, los dos hijos de Jacob, Simeón y Leví, hermanos de Dina, tomaron cada uno su espada, y vinieron contra la ciudad animosamente, y mataron á todo varón.

And it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males.

On the third day, when they were sore, two of Jacob’s sons, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword, came upon the unsuspecting city, and killed all the males.

Auch Hemor und dessen Sohn Sichem töteten sie mit des Schwertes Schärfe und holten Dina aus dem Hause Sichems und verließen die Stadt.

Y á Hamor y á Sichêm su hijo los mataron á filo de espada: y tomaron á Dina de casa de Sichêm, y saliéronse.

And they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem’s house, and went out.

They killed Hamor and Shechem, his son, with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem’s house, and went away.

Die Söhne Jakobs aber fielen über die Erschlagenen her und plünderten die Stadt, weil man ihre Schwester entehrt hatte.

Y los hijos de Jacob vinieron á los muertos, y saquearon la ciudad; por cuanto habían amancillado á su hermana.

The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and spoiled the city, because they had defiled their sister.

Jacob’s sons came on the dead, and plundered the city, because they had defiled their sister.

Ihre Schafe, Rinder und Esel nahmen sie, samt allem, was in der Stadt und auf dem Felde war;

Tomaron sus ovejas y vacas y sus asnos, y lo que había en la ciudad y en el campo,

They took their sheep, and their oxen, and their asses, and that which was in the city, and that which was in the field,

They took their flocks, their herds, their donkeys, that which was in the city, that which was in the field,

dazu führten sie ihre ganze Habe, alle ihre Kinder und Weiber gefangen und raubten alles, was in den Häusern war.

Y toda su hacienda; se llevaron cautivos á todos sus niños y sus mujeres, y robaron todo lo que había en casa.

And all their wealth, and all their little ones, and their wives took they captive, and spoiled even all that was in the house.

and all their wealth. They took captive all their little ones and their wives, and took as plunder everything that was in the house.

Jakob aber sprach zu ihnen: Ihr bringt mich ins Unglück dadurch, daß ihr mich verhaßt macht bei den Einwohnern des Landes, bei den Kanaanitern und Pheresitern, da ich doch nur wenig Leute habe; sie aber werden sich wider mich sammeln und mich schlagen und mich vertilgen samt meinem Haus.

Entonces dijo Jacob á Simeón y á Leví: Habéisme turbado con hacerme abominable á los moradores de aquesta tierra, el Cananeo y el Pherezeo; y teniendo yo pocos hombres, juntarse han contra mí, y me herirán, y seré destruído yo y mi casa.

And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.

Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have troubled me, to make me odious to the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites. I am few in number. They will gather themselves together against me and strike me, and I will be destroyed, I and my house.”

Sie aber antworteten: Soll man denn unsere Schwester wie eine Dirne behandeln?

Y ellos respondieron: ¿Había él de tratar á nuestra hermana como á una ramera?

And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an harlot?

They said, “Should he deal with our sister as with a prostitute?”
