Dina, la fille que Lia avait enfantée à Jacob, sortit pour voir les filles du pays.

And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.

Sichem, fils de Hémor, le Hévéen, prince du pays, l'ayant aperçue, l'enleva, coucha avec elle et lui fit violence.

Y vióla Sichêm, hijo de Hamor Heveo, príncipe de aquella tierra, y tomóla, y echóse con ella, y la deshonró.

And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.

Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her. He took her, lay with her, and humbled her.

Son âme s'attacha à Dina, fille de Jacob ; il aima la jeune fille et parla au cœur de la jeune fille.

Mas su alma se apegó á Dina la hija de Lea, y enamoróse de la moza, y habló al corazón de la joven.

And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel.

His soul joined to Dinah, the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the young lady, and spoke kindly to the young lady.

Et Sichem dit à Hémor, son père : " Prends-moi cette jeune fille pour femme. "

Y habló Sichêm á Hamor su padre, diciendo: Tómame por mujer esta moza.

And Shechem spake unto his father Hamor, saying, Get me this damsel to wife.

Shechem spoke to his father, Hamor, saying, “Get me this young lady as a wife.”

Or Jacob apprit qu'il avait outragé Dina, sa fille ; mais, comme ses fils étaient aux champs avec son troupeau, Jacob garda le silence jusqu'à leur retour.

Y oyó Jacob que había Sichêm amancillado á Dina su hija: y estando sus hijos con su ganado en el campo, calló Jacob hasta que ellos viniesen.

And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and Jacob held his peace until they were come.

Now Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah, his daughter; and his sons were with his livestock in the field. Jacob held his peace until they came.

Hémor, père de Sichem, sortit vers Jacob, pour lui parler.

Y dirigióse Hamor padre de Sichêm á Jacob, para hablar con él.

And Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto Jacob to commune with him.

Or les fils de Jacob étaient revenus des champs quand ils apprirent la chose ; ces hommes furent outrés et entrèrent en une grande colère, parce que Sichem avait commis une infamie contre Israël, en couchant avec la fille de Jacob, ce qui ne devait pas se faire.

Y los hijos de Jacob vinieron del campo cuando lo supieron; y se entristecieron los varones, y se ensañaron mucho, porque hizo vileza en Israel echándose con la hija de Jacob, lo que no se debía haber hecho.

And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob’s daughter; which thing ought not to be done.

Hémor leur parla ainsi : " L'âme de Sichem, mon fils, s'est attachée à votre fille ; donnez-la-lui pour femme, je vous prie.

Y Hamor habló con ellos, diciendo: El alma de mi hijo Sichêm se ha apegado á vuestra hija; ruégoos que se la deis por mujer.

And Hamor communed with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longeth for your daughter: I pray you give her him to wife.

Alliez-vous avec nous ; vous nous donnerez vos filles, et vous prendrez pour vous les nôtres.

Y emparentad con nosotros; dadnos vuestras hijas, y tomad vosotros las nuestras.

And make ye marriages with us, and give your daughters unto us, and take our daughters unto you.

Make marriages with us. Give your daughters to us, and take our daughters for yourselves.

Vous habiterez chez nous, et le pays sera à votre disposition, pour vous y établir, y trafiquer et y acquérir des propriétés. "

Y habitad con nosotros; porque la tierra estará delante de vosotros; morad y negociad en ella, y tomad en ella posesión.

And ye shall dwell with us: and the land shall be before you; dwell and trade ye therein, and get you possessions therein.

You shall dwell with us, and the land will be before you. Live and trade in it, and get possessions in it.”

Sichem dit au père et aux frères de Dina : " Que je trouve grâce à vos yeux, et je donnerai ce que vous me direz.

Sichêm también dijo á su padre y á sus hermanos: Halle yo gracia en vuestros ojos, y daré lo que me dijereis.

And Shechem said unto her father and unto her brethren, Let me find grace in your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give.

Exigez de moi un fort prix d'achat et de grands présents, et ce que vous me direz, je le donnerai ; mais donnez-moi la jeune fille pour femme. "

Aumentad á cargo mío mucho dote y dones, que yo daré cuanto me dijereis, y dadme la moza por mujer.

Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.

Les fils de Jacob, répondirent et parlèrent avec ruse à Sichem et à Hémor, son père, parce que Sichem avait déshonoré Dina, leur sœur ;

Y respondieron los hijos de Jacob á Sichêm y á Hamor su padre con engaño; y parlaron, por cuanto había amancillado á Dina su hermana.

And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled Dinah their sister:

ils leur dirent : " C'est une chose que nous ne pouvons pas faire que de donner notre sœur à un homme non circoncis, car ce serait un opprobre pour nous.

Y dijéronles: No podemos hacer esto de dar nuestra hermana á hombre que tiene prepucio; porque entre nosotros es abominación.

And they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us:

and said to them, “We can’t do this thing, to give our sister to one who is uncircumcised; for that is a reproach to us.

Nous ne consentirons à votre désir qu'à la condition que vous deveniez comme nous, et que tout mâle parmi vous soit circoncis.

Mas con esta condición os haremos placer: si habéis de ser como nosotros, que se circuncide entre vosotros todo varón;

But in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised;

Only on this condition will we consent to you. If you will be as we are, that every male of you be circumcised,

Ainsi nous vous donnerons nos filles, et nous prendrons pour nous les vôtres ; nous habiterons avec vous et nous formerons un seul peuple.

Entonces os daremos nuestras hijas, y tomaremos nosotros las vuestras; y habitaremos con vosotros, y seremos un pueblo.

Then will we give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.

Mais si vous ne voulez pas nous écouter et vous circoncire, nous reprendrons notre fille et nous nous en irons. "

But if ye will not hearken unto us, to be circumcised; then will we take our daughter, and we will be gone.

Leurs paroles plurent à Hémor et à Sichem, fils de Hémor ;

Y parecieron bien sus palabras á Hamor y á Sichêm, hijo de Hamor.

And their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamor’s son.

et le jeune homme ne tarda pas à faire la chose, car il était épris de la fille de Jacob, et il était l'homme le plus considéré de la maison de son père.

Y no dilató el mozo hacer aquello, porque la hija de Jacob le había agradado: y él era el más honrado de toda la casa de su padre.

And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob’s daughter: and he was more honourable than all the house of his father.

Hémor et Sichem, son fils, se rendirent donc à la porte de la ville, et ils parlèrent aux hommes de leur ville, en disant :

Entonces Hamor y Sichêm su hijo vinieron á la puerta de su ciudad, y hablaron á los varones de su ciudad, diciendo:

And Hamor and Shechem his son came unto the gate of their city, and communed with the men of their city, saying,

Hamor and Shechem, his son, came to the gate of their city, and talked with the men of their city, saying,

" Ces gens-là sont des hommes pacifiques au milieu de nous ; qu'ils s'établissent dans le pays et qu'ils y trafiquent ; voici que le pays, à droite et à gauche, est assez vaste pour eux. Nous prendrons leurs filles pour femmes, et nous leur donnerons nos filles.

Estos varones son pacíficos con nosotros, y habitarán en el país, y traficarán en él: pues he aquí la tierra es bastante ancha para ellos: nosotros tomaremos sus hijas por mujeres, y les daremos las nuestras.

These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.

Mais ces hommes ne consentiront à habiter avec nous, pour devenir un même peuple, qu'à une condition, c'est que tout mâle parmi nous soit circoncis, comme ils sont eux-mêmes circoncis.

Mas con esta condición nos harán estos hombres el placer de habitar con nosotros, para que seamos un pueblo: si se circuncidare en nosotros todo varón, así como ellos son circuncidados.

Only herein will the men consent unto us for to dwell with us, to be one people, if every male among us be circumcised, as they are circumcised.

Only on this condition will the men consent to us to live with us, to become one people, if every male among us is circumcised, as they are circumcised.

Leurs troupeaux et leurs biens et toutes leurs bêtes de somme ne seront-ils pas à nous ? Seulement, accédons à leur désir et qu'ils s'établissent chez nous. "

Sus ganados, y su hacienda y todas sus bestias, serán nuestras: solamente convengamos con ellos, y habitarán con nosotros.

Shall not their cattle and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? only let us consent unto them, and they will dwell with us.

Won’t their livestock and their possessions and all their animals be ours? Only let’s give our consent to them, and they will dwell with us.”

Tous ceux qui sortaient par la porte de la ville écoutèrent Hémor et Sichem, son fils, et tout mâle fut circoncis, tout homme sortant par la porte de la ville.

Y obedecieron á Hamor y á Sichêm su hijo todos los que salían por la puerta de la ciudad, y circuncidaron á todo varón, á cuantos salían por la puerta de su ciudad.

And unto Hamor and unto Shechem his son hearkened all that went out of the gate of his city; and every male was circumcised, all that went out of the gate of his city.

All who went out of the gate of his city listened to Hamor, and to Shechem his son; and every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.

Le troisième jour, lorsqu'ils étaient souffrants, deux fils de Jacob, Siméon et Lévi, frères de Dina, prirent chacun leur épée, marchèrent sans crainte sur la ville et tuèrent tous les mâles.

Y sucedió que al tercer día, cuando sentían ellos el mayor dolor, los dos hijos de Jacob, Simeón y Leví, hermanos de Dina, tomaron cada uno su espada, y vinieron contra la ciudad animosamente, y mataron á todo varón.

And it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males.

Les fils de Jacob se jetèrent sur les morts et pillèrent la ville, parce qu'on avait déshonoré leur sœur.

Y los hijos de Jacob vinieron á los muertos, y saquearon la ciudad; por cuanto habían amancillado á su hermana.

The sons of Jacob came upon the slain, and spoiled the city, because they had defiled their sister.

Ils prirent leurs brebis, leurs bœufs et leurs ânes, ce qui était dans la ville et ce qui était dans les champs.

Tomaron sus ovejas y vacas y sus asnos, y lo que había en la ciudad y en el campo,

They took their sheep, and their oxen, and their asses, and that which was in the city, and that which was in the field,

They took their flocks, their herds, their donkeys, that which was in the city, that which was in the field,

Ils emmenèrent comme butin tous leurs biens, leurs enfants et leurs femmes, et tout ce qui se trouvait dans les maisons.

Y toda su hacienda; se llevaron cautivos á todos sus niños y sus mujeres, y robaron todo lo que había en casa.

And all their wealth, and all their little ones, and their wives took they captive, and spoiled even all that was in the house.

Alors Jacob dit à Siméon et à Lévi : " Vous m'avez troublé, en me rendant odieux aux habitants du pays, aux Chananéens et aux Phérézéens. Je n'ai avec moi que peu de gens ; ils s'assembleront contre moi et me tueront, et je serai détruit, moi et ma maison. "

Ils répondirent : " Traitera-t-on notre sœur comme une prostituée ? "
