Et Jacob leva les yeux et regarda, et voilà qu'Esaü arrivait, et avec lui quatre cents hommes. Alors il distribua les enfants à Léa et Rachel, et aux deux servantes ;

Y ALZANDO Jacob sus ojos miró, y he aquí venía Esaú, y los cuatrocientos hombres con él: entonces repartió él los niños entre Lea y Rachêl y las dos siervas.

And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

Lui-même marchait devant eux, et il s'inclina sept fois contre terre jusqu'à ce qu'il fût près de son frère.

Alors Esaü courut à sa rencontre, et l'étreignit et se jeta à son cou et l'embrassa ; et ils pleurèrent.

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

Alors les servantes s'avancèrent avec leurs enfants et se prosternèrent.

Y se llegaron las siervas, ellas y sus niños, é inclináronse.

Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.

Et Léa s'avança aussi avec ses enfants et ils se prosternèrent ; puis Joseph s'avança et Rachel, et ils se prosternèrent.

Y llegóse Lea con sus niños, é inclináronse: y después llegó José y Rachêl, y también se inclinaron.

And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.

Et il dit : Que te proposes-tu avec toute cette caravane que j'ai rencontrée ? Et il répondit : De trouver grâce aux yeux de mon seigneur.

Y él dijo: ¿Qué te propones con todas estas cuadrillas que he encontrado? Y él respondió: El hallar gracia en los ojos de mi señor.

And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.

Esau said, “What do you mean by all this company which I met?” Jacob said, “To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

Et Esaü dit : Je suis dans l'abondance, mon frère ! garde ce que tu as !

Y dijo Esaú: Harto tengo yo, hermano mío: sea para ti lo que es tuyo.

And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

Esau said, “I have enough, my brother; let that which you have be yours.”

Et Jacob dit : Mais non ! si j'ai pu trouver grâce à tes yeux, tu accepteras mon présent de ma main ; c'est pourquoi j'ai regardé ta face comme on regarde la face de Dieu, et tu m'as fait un gracieux accueil.

Y dijo Jacob: No, yo te ruego, si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, toma mi presente de mi mano, pues que así he visto tu rostro, como si hubiera visto el rostro de Dios; y hazme placer.

And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

Jacob said, “Please, no, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present at my hand, because I have seen your face, as one sees the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

Accepte donc mon présent qui t'a été offert ; car Dieu m'a été propice et le tout m'appartient. Et il le pressa, et il accepta.

Toma, te ruego, mi dádiva que te es traída; porque Dios me ha hecho merced, y todo lo que hay aquí es mío. Y porfió con él, y tomóla.

Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

Please take the gift that I brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough.” He urged him, and he took it.

Et Esaü dit : Partons et mettons-nous en route, et je te précéderai.

Y dijo: Anda, y vamos; y yo iré delante de ti.

And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.

Esau said, “Let’s take our journey, and let’s go, and I will go before you.”

Et Jacob dit : Mon seigneur sait que les enfants sont délicats et que j'ai des brebis et des vaches qui allaitent ; et si on leur faisait hâter le pas un seul jour, tout le troupeau périrait.

Y él le dijo: Mi señor sabe que los niños son tiernos, y que tengo ovejas y vacas paridas; y si las fatigan, en un día morirán todas las ovejas.

And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young, and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.

Que mon seigneur prenne l'avance sur son serviteur, et moi je pourrai cheminer à mon aise en suivant le pas des troupeaux qui me précéderont, et le pas des enfants jusqu'à ce que j'arrive chez mon seigneur à Seïr.

Pase ahora mi señor delante de su siervo, y yo me iré poco á poco al paso de la hacienda que va delante de mí, y al paso de los niños, hasta que llegue á mi señor á Seir.

Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

Please let my lord pass over before his servant, and I will lead on gently, according to the pace of the livestock that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come to my lord to Seir.”

Et Esaü dit : Je te laisserai une escorte des gens qui sont avec moi. Et il répondit : Pourquoi donc ? que je trouve seulement grâce aux yeux de mon seigneur !

Y Esaú dijo: Dejaré ahora contigo de la gente que viene conmigo. Y él dijo: ¿Para qué esto? halle yo gracia en los ojos de mi señor.

And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

Esau said, “Let me now leave with you some of the people who are with me.” He said, “Why? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.”

Et ce jour-là Esaü prit son chemin vers Séïr.

Así se volvió Esaú aquel día por su camino á Seir.

So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.

Jacob de son côté se transporta à Succoth et il bâtit une maison pour lui, et pour ses troupeaux il fit des huttes ; c'est pourquoi on appelle ce lieu du nom de Succoth (huttes).

Y Jacob se partió á Succoth, y edificó allí casa para sí, é hizo cabañas para su ganado: por tanto llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Succoth.

And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

Et Jacob arriva sain et sauf à la ville de Sichem située dans le pays de Canaan, lors de son retour de Mésopotamie, et il campa devant la ville.

Y vino Jacob sano á la ciudad de Sichêm, que está en la tierra de Canaán, cuando venía de Padan-aram; y acampó delante de la ciudad.

And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan-aram; and pitched his tent before the city.

Et il acheta la portion de terrain où il avait dressé sa tente, des fils de Hémor, père de Sichem, pour le prix de cent kesitas.

Y compró una parte del campo, donde tendió su tienda, de mano de los hijos de Hamor, padre de Sichêm, por cien piezas de moneda.

And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money.

Et là il érigea un autel qu'il nomma †Autel de Dieu, du Dieu d'Israël.
