Et Jacob leva ses yeux, et regarda ; et voici, Ésaü venait, et 400 hommes avec lui. Et il partagea les enfants entre Léa et Rachel et les deux servantes.

Y ALZANDO Jacob sus ojos miró, y he aquí venía Esaú, y los cuatrocientos hombres con él: entonces repartió él los niños entre Lea y Rachêl y las dos siervas.

And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

He put the servants and their children in front, Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph at the rear.

Et il passa devant eux, et se prosterna en terre par sept fois, jusqu’à ce qu’il soit proche de son frère.

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

Et les servantes s’approchèrent, elles et leurs enfants, et se prosternèrent.

Y se llegaron las siervas, ellas y sus niños, é inclináronse.

Et Léa aussi s’approcha avec ses enfants, et ils se prosternèrent ; et ensuite Joseph et Rachel s’approchèrent, et se prosternèrent.

And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.

Et il dit : Que veux-tu avec tout ce camp que j’ai rencontré ? Et il dit : C’est pour trouver grâce aux yeux de mon seigneur.

Y él dijo: ¿Qué te propones con todas estas cuadrillas que he encontrado? Y él respondió: El hallar gracia en los ojos de mi señor.

And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.

Esau said, “What do you mean by all this company which I met?” Jacob said, “To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

Et Ésaü dit : J’ai †de tout en abondance, mon frère ; que ce qui est à toi soit à toi.

Y dijo Esaú: Harto tengo yo, hermano mío: sea para ti lo que es tuyo.

And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

Esau said, “I have enough, my brother; let that which you have be yours.”

Et Jacob dit : Non, je te prie ; si j’ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, prends mon présent de ma main, car c’est pour cela que j’ai vu ta face comme si j’avais vu la face de Dieu, et que tu m’as accueilli favorablement.

Y dijo Jacob: No, yo te ruego, si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, toma mi presente de mi mano, pues que así he visto tu rostro, como si hubiera visto el rostro de Dios; y hazme placer.

And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

Jacob said, “Please, no, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present at my hand, because I have seen your face, as one sees the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

Prends, je te prie, mon présent qui t’a été amené ; car Dieu a usé de grâce envers moi, et j’ai de tout. Et il le pressa, et il le prit.

Toma, te ruego, mi dádiva que te es traída; porque Dios me ha hecho merced, y todo lo que hay aquí es mío. Y porfió con él, y tomóla.

Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

Et †Ésaü dit : Partons et allons-nous-en, et je marcherai devant toi.

Y dijo: Anda, y vamos; y yo iré delante de ti.

And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.

Et †Jacob lui dit : Mon seigneur sait que les enfants sont délicats, et que je suis chargé de menu et de gros bétail qui allaite ; et si on les presse un seul jour, ils mourront – tout le troupeau.

Y él le dijo: Mi señor sabe que los niños son tiernos, y que tengo ovejas y vacas paridas; y si las fatigan, en un día morirán todas las ovejas.

And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young, and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.

Que mon seigneur, je te prie, passe devant son serviteur ; et moi je cheminerai tout doucement au pas de ce bétail qui est devant moi, et au pas des enfants, jusqu’à ce que j’arrive auprès de mon seigneur, à Séhir.

Pase ahora mi señor delante de su siervo, y yo me iré poco á poco al paso de la hacienda que va delante de mí, y al paso de los niños, hasta que llegue á mi señor á Seir.

Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

Please let my lord pass over before his servant, and I will lead on gently, according to the pace of the livestock that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come to my lord to Seir.”

Et Ésaü dit : Je te prie, que je laisse avec toi quelques-uns des gens qui sont avec moi. Et il dit : Pourquoi cela ? Que je trouve grâce aux yeux de mon seigneur !

Y Esaú dijo: Dejaré ahora contigo de la gente que viene conmigo. Y él dijo: ¿Para qué esto? halle yo gracia en los ojos de mi señor.

And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

Esau said, “Let me now leave with you some of the people who are with me.” He said, “Why? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.”

Et Ésaü s’en retourna ce jour-là, par son chemin, à Séhir.

Así se volvió Esaú aquel día por su camino á Seir.

*Et Jacob s’en alla à Succoth, et bâtit une maison pour lui, et fit des cabanes pour son bétail : c’est pourquoi on appela le nom du lieu Succoth.

Et Jacob arriva en paix à la ville de Sichem, qui est dans le pays de Canaan, comme il venait de Paddan-Aram ; et il campa en face de la ville.

Y vino Jacob sano á la ciudad de Sichêm, que está en la tierra de Canaán, cuando venía de Padan-aram; y acampó delante de la ciudad.

And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan-aram; and pitched his tent before the city.

Et il acheta de la main des fils de Hamor, père de Sichem, pour 100 kesitas, la portion du champ où il avait dressé sa tente ;

Y compró una parte del campo, donde tendió su tienda, de mano de los hijos de Hamor, padre de Sichêm, por cien piezas de moneda.

And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money.

et il dressa là un autel et l’appela El-Élohé-Israël.
