Génesis 32

Jacob l'interrogea en disant: "Apprends-moi, je te prie, ton nom." II répondit: "Pourquoi t'enquérir de mon nom?" Et il le bénit alors.

Y llamó Jacob el nombre de aquel lugar, Peniel: porque vi á Dios cara á cara, y fué librada mi alma.

And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
