Génesis 32

Jacob l’interrogea, en disant : « Fais-moi, je te prie, connaître ton nom. » Il dit : « Pourquoi demandes-tu quel est mon nom ? » Et il le bénit là.

Y llamó Jacob el nombre de aquel lugar, Peniel: porque vi á Dios cara á cara, y fué librada mi alma.

And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
