E Giacobbe pose a quel luogo il nome di Phanuel, dicendo: Ho veduto il Signore faccia a faccia, e l'anima mia ha avuto salute.

Y llamó Jacob el nombre de aquel lugar, Peniel: porque vi á Dios cara á cara, y fué librada mi alma.

And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Jacob called the name of the place Peniel; for he said, “I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”
