Génesis 32

Und Er sprach: Dein Name heiße hinfort nicht mehr Jakob, sondern Israel; denn du hast wie ein Fürst mit Gott und mit Männern gekämpft, und hast sie übermocht.

Entonces Jacob le preguntó, y dijo: Declárame ahora tu nombre. Y él respondió: ¿Por qué preguntas por mi nombre? Y bendíjolo allí.

And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.” He said, “Why is it that you ask what my name is?” So he blessed him there.
