Ihr sollt sagen: 'Auch dein Sklave Jakob folgt uns auf dem Fuß!'" Er dachte nämlich: Ablenken will ich seine Aufmerksamkeit durch das Geschenk, das mir vorausgeht; erst dann trete ich ihm vor die Augen. Vielleicht nimmt er mich gnädig auf.

Y pasó el presente delante de él; y él durmió aquella noche en el campamento.

So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company.

So the present passed over before him, and he himself stayed that night in the camp.
