And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

De la tierra el SEÑOR Dios formó cada animal del campo y cada ave del cielo. Entonces Él los trajo al hombre para ver qué él los llamaría. Lo que el hombre llamara a cada criatura viviente, ése era su nombre.
Formó, pues, Jehová Dios de la tierra toda bestia del campo, y toda ave de los cielos, y trájolas á Adam, para que viese cómo les había de llamar; y todo lo que Adam llamó á los animales vivientes, ese es su nombre.

El SEÑOR Dios causó que un profundo sueño cayera sobre el hombre, así que el hombre durmió. El SEÑOR Dios tomó una de sus costillas y cerró la carne de donde Él tomó la costilla.
Y Jehová Dios hizo caer sueño sobre Adam, y se quedó dormido: entonces tomó una de sus costillas, y cerró la carne en su lugar;
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
The LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. As the man slept, he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
Con la costilla que el SEÑOR Dios había tomado del hombre, Él hizo una mujer y la trajo al hombre.
Y de la costilla que Jehová Dios tomó del hombre, hizo una mujer, y trájola al hombre.
And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
The LORD God made a woman from the rib which he had taken from the man, and brought her to the man.
El hombre dijo: "Esta vez, ésta es hueso de mis huesos, y carne de mi carne. Ella será llamada 'varona,' porque ella fue sacada del varón."
Y dijo Adam: Esto es ahora hueso de mis huesos, y carne de mi carne: ésta será llamada Varona, porque del varón fué tomada.
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken out of Man.”
Por lo tanto, el hombre dejará a su padre y a su madre, él será unido a su esposa, y ellos se convertirán en una carne.
