Et Jacob reprit sa marche et s'en alla au pays des Fils de l'Orient.

Y SIGUIÓ Jacob su camino, y fué á la tierra de los orientales.

Et il aperçut un puits dans la campagne ; et il y avait là trois troupeaux de brebis couchés auprès, car c'était de ce puits qu'on faisait boire les troupeaux ; et la pierre sur l'ouverture du puits était grosse ;

Y miró, y vió un pozo en el campo: y he aquí tres rebaños de ovejas que yacían cerca de él; porque de aquel pozo abrevaban los ganados: y había una gran piedra sobre la boca del pozo.

And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well’s mouth.

tous les troupeaux se réunissaient là, on roulait la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits, on abreuvait les brebis, et on remettait la pierre à sa place sur l'ouverture du puits ;

Y juntábanse allí todos los rebaños; y revolvían la piedra de sobre la boca del pozo, y abrevaban las ovejas; y volvían la piedra sobre la boca del pozo á su lugar.

And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well’s mouth in his place.

et Jacob dit aux bergers : Mes frères, d'où êtes-vous ? Et ils répondirent : Nous sommes de Charan.

Y díjoles Jacob: Hermanos míos, ¿de dónde sois? Y ellos respondieron: De Harán somos.

And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we.

Jacob said to them, “My relatives, where are you from?” They said, “We are from Haran.”

Et il leur dit : Connaissez-vous Laban, fils de Nachor ? Ils dirent : Nous le connaissons.

Y él les dijo: ¿Conocéis á Labán, hijo de Nachôr? Y ellos dijeron: Sí, le conocemos.

And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.

He said to them, “Do you know Laban, the son of Nahor?” They said, “We know him.”

Il leur dit : Se porte-t-il bien ? Ils lui répondirent : Il se porte bien, et voici Rachel, sa fille, qui vient avec les brebis.

Y él les dijo: ¿Tiene paz? Y ellos dijeron: Paz; y he aquí Rachêl su hija viene con el ganado.

And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.

He said to them, “Is it well with him?” They said, “It is well. See, Rachel, his daughter, is coming with the sheep.”

Et il dit : Mais il est encore grand jour ! Ce n'est pas le moment de rassembler le bétail ; abreuvez les brebis et retournez les faire paître.

Y él dijo: He aquí el día es aún grande; no es tiempo todavía de recoger el ganado; abrevad las ovejas, é id á apacentarlas.

And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them.

He said, “Behold, it is still the middle of the day, not time to gather the livestock together. Water the sheep, and go and feed them.”

Ils dirent : Nous ne le pouvons pas jusqu'à ce que tous les troupeaux soient rassemblés et qu'on roule la pierre de dessus l'ouverture du puits ; alors nous abreuverons les brebis.

Y ellos respondieron: No podemos, hasta que se junten todos los ganados, y remuevan la piedra de sobre la boca del pozo, para que abrevemos las ovejas.

And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well’s mouth; then we water the sheep.

Il parlait encore avec eux, quand Rachel arriva avec les brebis de son père, car elle était bergère.

Y sucedió que, como Jacob vió á Rachêl, hija de Labán hermano de su madre, y á las ovejas de Labán el hermano de su madre, llegóse Jacob, y removió la piedra de sobre la boca del pozo, y abrevó el ganado de Labán hermano de su madre.

And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother’s brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother.

Et en entendant parler de Jacob, fils de sa sœur, Laban courut au-devant de lui, l'embrassa et lui donna des baisers, et il le conduisit dans sa maison. Et Jacob raconta à Laban toutes ces choses.

Y así que oyó Labán las nuevas de Jacob, hijo de su hermana, corrió á recibirlo, y abrazólo, y besólo, y trájole á su casa: y él contó á Labán todas estas cosas.

And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.

Et Laban lui dit : Tu es bien mes os et ma chair. Et Jacob demeura avec lui un mois entier.

And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.

Laban said to him, “Surely you are my bone and my flesh.” Jacob stayed with him for a month.

Et Laban dit à Jacob : Est-ce que, parce que tu es mon frère, tu me serviras pour rien ? Déclare-moi quel salaire tu veux.

Entonces dijo Labán á Jacob: ¿Por ser tú mi hermano, me has de servir de balde? declárame qué será tu salario.

And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?

Laban said to Jacob, “Because you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for nothing? Tell me, what will your wages be?”

Laban avait deux filles ; le nom de l'aînée était Léa, et le nom de la cadette, Rachel.

Y Labán tenía dos hijas: el nombre de la mayor era Lea, y el nombre de la menor, Rachêl.

And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.

Léa avait une mine chétive, et Rachel était belle de taille et belle de visage.

Y los ojos de Lea eran tiernos, pero Rachêl era de lindo semblante y de hermoso parecer.

Et Jacob aima Rachel et il dit : Je te servirai sept ans pour Rachel, ta fille cadette.

Y Jacob amó á Rachêl, y dijo: Yo te serviré siete años por Rachêl tu hija menor.

And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.

Jacob loved Rachel. He said, “I will serve you seven years for Rachel, your younger daughter.”

Et Laban répondit : Mieux vaut te la donner que de la donner à un autre ; reste seulement avec moi.

Y Labán respondió: Mejor es que te la dé á ti, que no que la dé á otro hombre: estáte conmigo.

And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me.

Laban said, “It is better that I give her to you, than that I should give her to another man. Stay with me.”

Et Jacob servit pour Rachel sept ans, qui ne lui parurent que quelques jours, parce qu'il l'aimait.

Así sirvió Jacob por Rachêl siete años: y pareciéronle como pocos días, porque la amaba.

And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

Et Jacob dit à Laban : Donne-moi ma femme, car mon temps est accompli, et j'irai vers elle.

And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.

Et Laban réunit tous les gens du lieu et fit un festin.

Entonces Labán juntó á todos los varones de aquel lugar, é hizo banquete.

Y sucedió que á la noche tomó á Lea su hija, y se la trajo: y él entró á ella.

And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.

Et Laban donna sa servante Zilpa à Léa, sa fille, pour servante.

Y dió Labán su sierva Zilpa á su hija Lea por criada.

And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.

Et le matin venu, voici c'était Léa. Et Jacob dit à Laban : Que m'as-tu fait ? N'est-ce pas pour Rachel que j'ai servi chez toi ? Et pourquoi m'as-tu trompé ?

Y venida la mañana, he aquí que era Lea: y él dijo á Labán: ¿Qué es esto que me has hecho? ¿no te he servido por Rachêl? ¿por qué, pues, me has engañado?

And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?

In the morning, behold, it was Leah! He said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? Didn’t I serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me?”

Et Laban dit : Cela ne se fait pas chez nous, de donner la cadette avant l'aînée.

Y Labán respondió: No se hace así en nuestro lugar, que se dé la menor antes de la mayor.

And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.

Laban said, “It is not done so in our place, to give the younger before the firstborn.

Achève la semaine de celle-ci, et nous te donnerons aussi l'autre pour le service que tu feras encore chez moi sept autres années.

Cumple la semana de ésta, y se te dará también la otra, por el servicio que hicieres conmigo otros siete años.

Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

Fulfill the week of this one, and we will give you the other also for the service which you will serve with me for seven more years.”

Jacob fit ainsi, il acheva la semaine de Léa, et Laban lui donna Rachel, sa fille, pour femme.

E hizo Jacob así, y cumplió la semana de aquélla: y él le dió á Rachêl su hija por mujer.

And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.

Et Laban donna sa servante Bilha à Rachel, sa fille, pour servante.

Y dió Labán á Rachêl su hija por criada á su sierva Bilha.

And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

Laban gave Bilhah, his servant, to his daughter Rachel to be her servant.

Et Jacob alla aussi vers Rachel, et il aima aussi Rachel, plus que Léa ; et il servit encore chez Laban sept autres années.

Y entró también á Rachêl: y amóla también más que á Lea: y sirvió con él aún otros siete años.

And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

Et l'Eternel vit que Léa était haïe, et il la rendit féconde ; mais Rachel était stérile.

And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

Et Léa conçut et enfanta un fils, et elle le nomma Ruben, car elle dit : L'Eternel a regardé à mon affliction, et maintenant mon mari m'aimera.

Y concibió Lea, y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Rubén, porque dijo: Ya que ha mirado Jehová mi aflicción; ahora por tanto me amará mi marido.

And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.

Leah conceived, and bore a son, and she named him Reuben. For she said, “Because the LORD has looked at my affliction; for now my husband will love me.”

Elle conçut encore et enfanta un fils, et elle dit : L'Eternel a entendu que j'étais haïe, et il m'a encore donné celui-ci. Et elle le nomma Siméon.

Y concibió otra vez, y parió un hijo, y dijo: Por cuanto oyó Jehová que yo era aborrecida, me ha dado también éste. Y llamó su nombre Simeón.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard that I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.

She conceived again, and bore a son, and said, “Because the LORD has heard that I am hated, he has therefore given me this son also.” She named him Simeon.

Elle conçut encore et enfanta un fils, et elle dit : Cette fois, mon mari s'attachera à moi, puisque je lui ai enfanté trois fils. C'est pourquoi on le nomma Lévi.

Y concibió otra vez, y parió un hijo, y dijo: Ahora esta vez se unirá mi marido conmigo, porque le he parido tres hijos: por tanto, llamó su nombre Leví.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.

She conceived again, and bore a son. She said, “Now this time my husband will be joined to me, because I have borne him three sons.” Therefore his name was called Levi.

Elle conçut encore et enfanta un fils, et elle dit : Cette fois je louerai l'Eternel. C'est pourquoi elle le nomma Juda. Et elle cessa d'avoir des enfants.

Y concibió otra vez, y parió un hijo, y dijo: Esta vez alabaré á Jehová: por esto llamó su nombre Judá: y dejó de parir.

And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.

She conceived again, and bore a son. She said, “This time I will praise the LORD.” Therefore she named him Judah. Then she stopped bearing.
