La qual cosa avendo udito Rebecca, ed essendo quegli andato alla campagna per fare il comando del padre,

Portami della tua cacciagione, e fammi una pietanza, perché io la mangi, e ti benedica dinanzi al Signore prima di morire:
Tráeme caza, y hazme un guisado, para que coma, y te bendiga delante de Jehová antes que yo muera.
Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death.
‘Bring me venison, and make me savory food, that I may eat, and bless you before the LORD before my death.’
Ora dunque, figliuol mio, attienti al mio consiglio:
Ahora pues, hijo mío, obedece á mi voz en lo que te mando;
Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee.

E va' alla greggia, e portami due de' migliori capretti, affinché io faccia pel tuo padre le pietanze, delle quali con piacere si ciba:
Ve ahora al ganado, y tráeme de allí dos buenos cabritos de las cabras, y haré de ellos viandas para tu padre, como él gusta;
Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:

Le quali quando tu avrai portate a lui, ed egli le avrà mangiate, ti benedica prima di morire.
Y tú las llevarás á tu padre, y comerá, para que te bendiga antes de su muerte.
And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.

Le rispose egli: Tu sai che Esaù mio fratello è peloso, ed io senza un pelo.

Se mio padre viene a palpeggiarmi, e mi riconosce, temo, che ei non si pensi, che io abbia voluto burlarlo, onde io mi tiri addosso la maledizione in cambio della benedizione.
Quizá me tentará mi padre, y me tendrá por burlador, y traeré sobre mí maldición y no bendición.
My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.
What if my father touches me? I will seem to him as a deceiver, and I would bring a curse on myself, and not a blessing.”
La madre a lui: Sia sopra di me, disse, questa maledizione, figliuol mio: solamente fa' a modo mio, e va' tosto, e porta quello che ho detto.
Y su madre respondió: Hijo mío, sobre mí tu maldición: solamente obedece á mi voz, y ve y tráemelos.
And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.
His mother said to him, “Let your curse be on me, my son. Only obey my voice, and go get them for me.”
Andò, e portò, e diede alla madre. Ella condizionò le pietanze, come sapeva esser di genio del padre di lui.
Entonces él fué, y tomó, y trájolos á su madre: y su madre hizo guisados, como su padre gustaba.
And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved.

E lo rivestì delle vesti migliori di Esaù, le quali ella teneva in casa presso di sé:
Y tomó Rebeca los vestidos de Esaú su hijo mayor, los preciosos, que ella tenía en casa, y vistió á Jacob su hijo menor:
And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son:
Rebekah took the good clothes of Esau, her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob, her younger son.
E le mani di lui involse colle delicate pelli de' capretti, e ne ricoprì la parte nuda del collo.
E hízole vestir sobre sus manos, y sobre la cerviz donde no tenía vello, las pieles de los cabritos de las cabras;

And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.

E soggiunse Isacco al figliuol suo: Come, figliuol mio, hai potuto trovare così presto? Egli rispose: Fu volere di Dio, ch'io tosto m'imbattessi in quello ch'io bramava.
Entonces Isaac dijo á su hijo: ¿Cómo es que la hallaste tan presto, hijo mío? Y él respondió: Porque Jehová tu Dios hizo que se encontrase delante de mí.
And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me.
Isaac said to his son, “How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?” He said, “Because the LORD your God gave me success.”
E Isacco disse: Appressati qua, ch'io ti tocchi, figliuol mio, e riconosca, se tu sei, o no il figliuol mio Esaù.
E Isaac dijo á Jacob: Acércate ahora, y te palparé, hijo mío, por si eres mi hijo Esaú, ó no.
And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.
Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not.”
S'appressò egli al padre, e quando l'ebbe palpato, disse Isacco: La voce veramente ella è la voce di Giacobbe, ma le mani sono quelle di Esaù.
Y llegóse Jacob á su padre Isaac; y él le palpó, y dijo: La voz es la voz de Jacob, mas las manos, las manos de Esaú.
And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.

E nol riconobbe perché le mani pelose eran del tutto simili a quelle del maggiore. Benedicendolo adunque,
Y no le conoció, porque sus manos eran vellosas como las manos de Esaú: y le bendijo.
And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him.
He didn’t recognize him, because his hands were hairy, like his brother Esau’s hands. So he blessed him.
Disse: Tu sei il figliuol mio Esaù? Rispose: Io sono.
Y dijo: ¿Eres tú mi hijo Esaú? Y él respondió: Yo soy.

E quegli: Dammi, disse, figliuol mio, le pietanze di tua cacciagione, affinché l'anima mia ti benedica. Portate le quali, e mangiate, (Giacobbe) gli presentò anche il vino, e bevuto che l'ebbe,
Y dijo: Acércamela, y comeré de la caza de mi hijo, para que te bendiga mi alma; y él se la acercó, y comió: trájole también vino, y bebió.
And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank.
He said, “Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless you.” He brought it near to him, and he ate. He brought him wine, and he drank.
Disse a lui: Accostati a me, figliuol mio, e dammi un bacio.
Y díjole Isaac su padre: Acércate ahora, y bésame, hijo mío.
And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.

Si appressò, e baciollo. E tosto che egli sentì la fragranza delle sue vestimenta, benedicendolo disse: Ecco l'odore del figliuol mio è come l'odore di un campo ben fiorito e benedetto dal Signore.
Y él se llegó, y le besó; y olió Isaac el olor de sus vestidos, y le bendijo, y dijo: Mira, el olor de mi hijo como el olor del campo que Jehová ha bendecido:
And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:
He came near, and kissed him. He smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him, and said, “Behold, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed.
Dia a te il Signore la rugiada del cielo, e la pinguedine della terra, e l'abbondanza di frumento, e di vino;
Dios, pues, te dé del rocío del cielo, y de las grosuras de la tierra, y abundancia de trigo y de mosto.
Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
God give you of the dew of the sky, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.
E servi a te sieno i popoli, e ti adorino le tribù: sii tu il signore de' tuoi fratelli, e s'inchinino dinanzi a te i figliuoli della tua madre. Chi ti maledirà, sia egli maledetto; e chi ti benedirà, sia di benedizioni ricolmo.
Sírvante pueblos, y naciones se inclinen á ti: sé señor de tus hermanos, e inclínense á ti los hijos de tu madre: malditos los que te maldijeren, y benditos los que te bendijeren.
Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers. Let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you. Blessed be everyone who blesses you.”
Appena avea Isacco finite queste parole: e Giacobbe se n'era andato, quando arrivò Esaù.
Y aconteció, luego que hubo Isaac acabado de bendecir á Jacob, y apenas había salido Jacob de delante de Isaac su padre, que Esaú su hermano vino de su caza.
And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
As soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob, and Jacob had just gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
E le pietanze di sua cacciagione cucinate portò al padre suo, dicendo: Alzati, padre mio, e mangia della caccia del figliuol tuo; affinché l'anima tua mi benedica.
E hizo él también guisados, y trajo á su padre, y díjole: Levántese mi padre, y coma de la caza de su hijo, para que me bendiga tu alma.
And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that thy soul may bless me.
He also made savory food, and brought it to his father. He said to his father, “Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that your soul may bless me.”
E Isacco gli disse: Ma chi sei tu? Rispose egli: Io sono il figliuol tuo primogenito Esaù,
Entonces Isaac su padre le dijo: ¿Quién eres tú? Y él dijo: Yo soy tu hijo, tu primogénito, Esaú.
And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau.

Inorridì per grande stupore Isacco: e oltre ogni credere stupefatto disse: Chi è adunque colui, il quale già a me portò la presa cacciagione, e io di tutto mangiai prima che tu venissi? e io l'ho benedetto, e benedetto sarà.
Y estremecióse Isaac con grande estremecimiento, y dijo: ¿Quién es el que vino aquí, que cogió caza, y me trajo, y comí de todo antes que vinieses? Yo le bendije, y será bendito.
And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.
Isaac trembled violently, and said, “Who, then, is he who has taken venison, and brought it to me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? Yes, he will be blessed.”
Udito il discorso del padre, ruggì Esaù, e diè grande strido, e costernato disse: Da' la benedizione anche a me, padre mio.
Como Esaú oyó las palabras de su padre, clamó con una muy grande y muy amarga exclamación, y le dijo: Bendíceme también á mí, padre mío.
And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

Disse egli: Venne con astuzia il tuo fratello, e si prese la tua benedizione.
Y él dijo: Vino tu hermano con engaño, y tomó tu bendición.
And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.
He said, “Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing.”
Ma quegli soggiunse: Con giustizia fu a lui posto nome Giacobbe: imperocché ecco che per la seconda volta egli mi ha soppiantato: mi tolse già la mia primogenitura, e di nuovo la mia benedizione mi ha tolto. E di nuovo disse al padre: Non hai tu, o padre, serbata benedizione anche per me?
Y él respondió: Bien llamaron su nombre Jacob, que ya me ha engañado dos veces; alzóse con mi primogenitura, y he aquí ahora ha tomado mi bendición. Y dijo: ¿No has guardado bendición para mí?
And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?
He said, “Isn’t he rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright. See, now he has taken away my blessing.” He said, “Haven’t you reserved a blessing for me?”
Rispose Isacco: Io lo ho costituito tuo signore, e ho soggettati al suo servaggio tutti i suoi fratelli: lo ho fatto forte a frumento, e a vino: e dopo di ciò, che farò io ancora per te, figlio mio?
Isaac respondió y dijo á Esaú: He aquí yo le he puesto por señor tuyo, y le he dado por siervos á todos sus hermanos: de trigo y de vino le he provisto: ¿qué, pues, te haré á ti ahora, hijo mío?
And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
Isaac answered Esau, “Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brothers I have given to him for servants. I have sustained him with grain and new wine. What then will I do for you, my son?”
Disse a lui Esaù: Hai tu, o padre, sol una benedizione? benedici, ti prego, anche me. E piangendo egli, e urlando altamente,
Y Esaú respondió á su padre: ¿No tienes más que una sola bendición, padre mío? bendíceme también á mí, padre mío. Y alzó Esaú su voz, y lloró.
And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

Commosso Isacco gli disse: Nella pinguedine della terra, e nella rugiada di su dal cielo
Entonces Isaac su padre habló y díjole: He aquí será tu habitación en grosuras de la tierra, y del rocío de los cielos de arriba;
And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
Isaac his father answered him, “Behold, your dwelling will be of the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of the sky from above.
Sarà la tua benedizione. Viverai della spada, e sarai servo del tuo fratello: e tempo verrà, che tu scuoterai, e scioglierai dal tuo collo il suo giogo.
Y por tu espada vivirás, y á tu hermano servirás: y sucederá cuando te enseñorees, que descargarás su yugo de tu cerviz.
And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.
You will live by your sword, and you will serve your brother. It will happen, when you will break loose, that you will shake his yoke from off your neck.”
Esaù adunque avea sempre in odio Giacobbe per la benedizione, che questi avea ricevuto dal padre; e disse in cuor suo: Verranno i giorni del lutto pel padre mio, e io ammazzerò Giacobbe mio fratello.
Y aborreció Esaú á Jacob por la bendición con que le había bendecido, y dijo en su corazón: Llegarán los días del luto de mi padre, y yo mataré á Jacob mi hermano.
And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.

Fu ciò riferito a Rebecca: la quale mandò a chiamare Giacobbe suo figlio, e gli disse: Ecco che Esaù tuo fratello minaccia d'ucciderti.
Y fueron dichas á Rebeca las palabras de Esaú su hijo mayor: y ella envió y llamó á Jacob su hijo menor, y díjole: He aquí, Esaú tu hermano se consuela acerca de ti con la idea de matarte.
And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
The words of Esau, her elder son, were told to Rebekah. She sent and called Jacob, her younger son, and said to him, “Behold, your brother Esau comforts himself about you by planning to kill you.
Or adunque, figlio mio, credi a me, e fuggi tosto a casa di Laban mio fratello in Haran:
Ahora pues, hijo mío, obedece á mi voz; levántate, y húyete á Labán mi hermano, á Harán;
Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;

E con lui ti starai per un poco di tempo, fintantoché si ammansisca il furore di tuo fratello;
Y mora con él algunos días, hasta que el enojo de tu hermano se mitigue;
And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s fury turn away;
Stay with him a few days, until your brother’s fury turns away—
E passi la sua iracondia, e si scordi delle cose, che tu gli hai fatte: poscia io manderò chi di là ti riconduca in questo luogo. Perché dovrò io perdere tutti due i figli miei in un sol giorno?
Hasta que se aplaque la ira de tu hermano contra ti, y se olvide de lo que le has hecho: yo enviaré entonces, y te traeré de allá: ¿por qué seré privada de vosotros ambos en un día?
Until thy brother’s anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?
until your brother’s anger turns away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him. Then I will send, and get you from there. Why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?”
E disse Rebecca ad Isacco: Mi viene a noia la vita a causa di queste figliuole di Heth. Se Giacobbe prende una moglie della razza di questo paese, io non voglio più vivere. Giacobbe ricevuta la benedizione del padre, parte verso la Mesopotamia. Vede in sogno una scala, alla quale era appoggiato il Signore. Promessa a lui fatta di quella terra, e della moltiplicazione della stirpe. Voto, che egli fa al Signore nello svegliarsi.
Y dijo Rebeca á Isaac: Fastidio tengo de mi vida, á causa de las hijas de Heth. Si Jacob toma mujer de las hijas de Heth, como éstas, de las hijas de esta tierra, ¿para qué quiero la vida?
And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
Rebekah said to Isaac, “I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob takes a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these, of the daughters of the land, what good will my life do me?”
