Und Rebekka hörte zu, als Isaak zu seinem Sohne Esau redete. Und Esau ging aufs Feld, ein Wildbret zu erjagen, um es heimzubringen.

Bringe mir ein Wildbret und bereite mir ein schmackhaftes Gericht, daß ich esse, und daß ich dich vor Jehova segne vor meinem Tode.

Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death.

Und nun, mein Sohn, höre auf meine Stimme in dem, was ich dich heiße.
Ahora pues, hijo mío, obedece á mi voz en lo que te mando;

Gehe doch zur Herde und hole mir von dannen zwei gute Ziegenböcklein, und ich will sie zu einem schmackhaften Gericht bereiten für deinen Vater, wie er es gern hat;

Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:

und du sollst es deinem Vater bringen, daß er esse, damit er dich segne vor seinem Tode.
Y tú las llevarás á tu padre, y comerá, para que te bendiga antes de su muerte.
And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.

Da sprach Jakob zu Rebekka, seiner Mutter: Siehe, mein Bruder Esau ist ein haariger Mann, und ich bin ein glatter Mann.

Vielleicht wird mein Vater mich betasten, und ich werde in seinen Augen sein wie einer, der Spott mit ihm treibt, und ich werde Fluch auf mich bringen und nicht Segen.
Quizá me tentará mi padre, y me tendrá por burlador, y traeré sobre mí maldición y no bendición.
My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.

Seine Mutter aber sprach zu ihm: Dein Fluch komme auf mich, mein Sohn! Höre nur auf meine Stimme und gehe, hole mir.
Y su madre respondió: Hijo mío, sobre mí tu maldición: solamente obedece á mi voz, y ve y tráemelos.
And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.
His mother said to him, “Let your curse be on me, my son. Only obey my voice, and go get them for me.”
Und er ging und holte und brachte sie seiner Mutter. Und seine Mutter bereitete ein schmackhaftes Gericht, wie sein Vater es gern hatte.
Entonces él fué, y tomó, y trájolos á su madre: y su madre hizo guisados, como su padre gustaba.
And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved.

Und Rebekka nahm die Kleider Esaus, ihres älteren Sohnes, die kostbaren, die bei ihr im Hause waren, und zog sie Jakob, ihrem jüngeren Sohne, an;

And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son:

And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.

Und Isaak sprach zu seinem Sohne: Wie hast du es denn so bald gefunden, mein Sohn? Und er sprach: Weil Jehova, dein Gott, es mir begegnen ließ.
Entonces Isaac dijo á su hijo: ¿Cómo es que la hallaste tan presto, hijo mío? Y él respondió: Porque Jehová tu Dios hizo que se encontrase delante de mí.
And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me.
Isaac said to his son, “How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?” He said, “Because the LORD your God gave me success.”
Da sprach Isaak zu Jakob: Tritt doch herzu, daß ich dich betaste, mein Sohn, ob du wirklich mein Sohn Esau bist oder nicht.
E Isaac dijo á Jacob: Acércate ahora, y te palparé, hijo mío, por si eres mi hijo Esaú, ó no.
And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.
Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not.”
Und Jakob trat hin zu seinem Vater Isaak; und er betastete ihn und sprach: Die Stimme ist Jakobs Stimme, aber die Hände sind Esaus Hände.
Y llegóse Jacob á su padre Isaac; y él le palpó, y dijo: La voz es la voz de Jacob, mas las manos, las manos de Esaú.
And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.

Und er erkannte ihn nicht, denn seine Hände waren haarig wie die Hände seines Bruders Esau; und er segnete ihn.

And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him.

Da sprach er: Reiche es mir her, daß ich esse von dem Wildbret meines Sohnes, damit meine Seele dich segne. Und er reichte es ihm hin, und er aß; und er brachte ihm Wein, und er trank.

And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank.
He said, “Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless you.” He brought it near to him, and he ate. He brought him wine, and he drank.
Und sein Vater Isaak sprach zu ihm: Tritt doch herzu und küsse mich, mein Sohn. Und er trat hinzu und küßte ihn;

And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.

und er roch den Geruch seiner Kleider, und er segnete ihn und sprach: Siehe, der Geruch meines Sohnes ist wie der Geruch eines Feldes, das Jehova gesegnet hat.
Y él se llegó, y le besó; y olió Isaac el olor de sus vestidos, y le bendijo, y dijo: Mira, el olor de mi hijo como el olor del campo que Jehová ha bendecido:
And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:

Und Gott gebe dir vom Tau des Himmels und von der Fettigkeit der Erde, und Fülle von Korn und Most!
Dios, pues, te dé del rocío del cielo, y de las grosuras de la tierra, y abundancia de trigo y de mosto.
Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
God give you of the dew of the sky, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.
Völker sollen dir dienen und Völkerschaften sich vor dir niederbeugen! Sei Herr über deine Brüder, und vor dir sollen sich niederbeugen die Söhne deiner Mutter! Wer dir flucht, sei verflucht, und wer dich segnet, sei gesegnet!
Sírvante pueblos, y naciones se inclinen á ti: sé señor de tus hermanos, e inclínense á ti los hijos de tu madre: malditos los que te maldijeren, y benditos los que te bendijeren.
Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers. Let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you. Blessed be everyone who blesses you.”
Und es geschah, sowie Isaak geendet hatte, Jakob zu segnen, ja, es geschah, als Jakob nur eben von seinem Vater Isaak hinausgegangen war, da kam sein Bruder Esau von seiner Jagd.
Y aconteció, luego que hubo Isaac acabado de bendecir á Jacob, y apenas había salido Jacob de delante de Isaac su padre, que Esaú su hermano vino de su caza.
And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.

Und auch er bereitete ein schmackhaftes Gericht und brachte es zu seinem Vater und sprach zu seinem Vater: Mein Vater stehe auf und esse von dem Wildbret seines Sohnes, damit deine Seele mich segne.
E hizo él también guisados, y trajo á su padre, y díjole: Levántese mi padre, y coma de la caza de su hijo, para que me bendiga tu alma.
And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that thy soul may bless me.

Da erschrak Isaak mit großem Schrecken über die Maßen und sprach: Wer war denn der, welcher ein Wildbret erjagt und mir gebracht hat? Und ich habe von allem gegessen, ehe du kamst, und habe ihn gesegnet; er wird auch gesegnet sein.
Y estremecióse Isaac con grande estremecimiento, y dijo: ¿Quién es el que vino aquí, que cogió caza, y me trajo, y comí de todo antes que vinieses? Yo le bendije, y será bendito.
And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.
Isaac trembled violently, and said, “Who, then, is he who has taken venison, and brought it to me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? Yes, he will be blessed.”
Als Esau die Worte seines Vaters hörte, da schrie er mit einem großen und bitterlichen Geschrei über die Maßen und sprach zu seinem Vater: Segne mich, auch mich, mein Vater!
Como Esaú oyó las palabras de su padre, clamó con una muy grande y muy amarga exclamación, y le dijo: Bendíceme también á mí, padre mío.
And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

Und er sprach: Dein Bruder ist mit Betrug gekommen und hat deinen Segen weggenommen.
Y él dijo: Vino tu hermano con engaño, y tomó tu bendición.
And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.
He said, “Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing.”
Da sprach er: Ist es nicht, weil man ihm den Namen Jakob gegeben, daß er mich nun zweimal überlistet hat? Mein Erstgeburtsrecht hat er weggenommen, und siehe, nun hat er meinen Segen weggenommen! Und er sprach: Hast du mir keinen Segen aufbehalten?
Y él respondió: Bien llamaron su nombre Jacob, que ya me ha engañado dos veces; alzóse con mi primogenitura, y he aquí ahora ha tomado mi bendición. Y dijo: ¿No has guardado bendición para mí?
And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?
He said, “Isn’t he rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright. See, now he has taken away my blessing.” He said, “Haven’t you reserved a blessing for me?”
Da antwortete Isaak und sprach zu Esau: Siehe, ich habe ihn zum Herrn über dich gesetzt und alle seine Brüder ihm zu Knechten gegeben, und mit Korn und Most habe ich ihn versehen, und nun, was könnte ich für dich tun, mein Sohn?
Isaac respondió y dijo á Esaú: He aquí yo le he puesto por señor tuyo, y le he dado por siervos á todos sus hermanos: de trigo y de vino le he provisto: ¿qué, pues, te haré á ti ahora, hijo mío?
And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
Isaac answered Esau, “Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brothers I have given to him for servants. I have sustained him with grain and new wine. What then will I do for you, my son?”
Und Esau sprach zu seinem Vater: Hast du nur diesen einen Segen, mein Vater? Segne mich, auch mich, mein Vater! Und Esau erhob seine Stimme und weinte.
Y Esaú respondió á su padre: ¿No tienes más que una sola bendición, padre mío? bendíceme también á mí, padre mío. Y alzó Esaú su voz, y lloró.
And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

Da antwortete sein Vater Isaak und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, fern von der Fettigkeit der Erde wird dein Wohnsitz sein und ohne den Tau des Himmels von oben her.
Entonces Isaac su padre habló y díjole: He aquí será tu habitación en grosuras de la tierra, y del rocío de los cielos de arriba;
And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
Isaac his father answered him, “Behold, your dwelling will be of the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of the sky from above.
Und von deinem Schwerte wirst du leben, und deinem Bruder wirst du dienen; und es wird geschehen, wenn du umherschweifst, wirst du sein Joch zerbrechen von deinem Halse.
Y por tu espada vivirás, y á tu hermano servirás: y sucederá cuando te enseñorees, que descargarás su yugo de tu cerviz.
And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.
You will live by your sword, and you will serve your brother. It will happen, when you will break loose, that you will shake his yoke from off your neck.”
Und Esau feindete Jakob an wegen des Segens, womit sein Vater ihn gesegnet hatte; und Esau sprach in seinem Herzen: Es nahen die Tage der Trauer um meinen Vater, dann werde ich meinen Bruder Jakob erschlagen.
Y aborreció Esaú á Jacob por la bendición con que le había bendecido, y dijo en su corazón: Llegarán los días del luto de mi padre, y yo mataré á Jacob mi hermano.
And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him. Esau said in his heart, “The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then I will kill my brother Jacob.”
Und es wurden der Rebekka die Worte Esaus, ihres älteren Sohnes, berichtet; und sie sandte hin und ließ Jakob, ihren jüngeren Sohn, rufen und sprach zu ihm: Siehe, dein Bruder Esau will sich an dir rächen, indem er dich erschlägt.
Y fueron dichas á Rebeca las palabras de Esaú su hijo mayor: y ella envió y llamó á Jacob su hijo menor, y díjole: He aquí, Esaú tu hermano se consuela acerca de ti con la idea de matarte.
And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
The words of Esau, her elder son, were told to Rebekah. She sent and called Jacob, her younger son, and said to him, “Behold, your brother Esau comforts himself about you by planning to kill you.
Und nun, mein Sohn, höre auf meine Stimme und mache dich auf, fliehe zu meinem Bruder Laban nach Haran;
Ahora pues, hijo mío, obedece á mi voz; levántate, y húyete á Labán mi hermano, á Harán;
Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;

und bleibe einige Zeit bei ihm, bis der Grimm deines Bruders sich wendet,
Y mora con él algunos días, hasta que el enojo de tu hermano se mitigue;
And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s fury turn away;
Stay with him a few days, until your brother’s fury turns away—
bis der Zorn deines Bruders sich von dir abwendet, und er vergißt, was du ihm getan hast; dann will ich hinsenden und dich von dort holen lassen. Warum sollte ich euer beider zugleich beraubt werden an einem Tage?
Hasta que se aplaque la ira de tu hermano contra ti, y se olvide de lo que le has hecho: yo enviaré entonces, y te traeré de allá: ¿por qué seré privada de vosotros ambos en un día?
Until thy brother’s anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?
until your brother’s anger turns away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him. Then I will send, and get you from there. Why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?”
Und Rebekka sprach zu Isaak: Ich bin des Lebens überdrüssig wegen der Töchter Heths; wenn Jakob ein Weib nähme von den Töchtern Heths, wie diese, von den Töchtern des Landes, wozu sollte mir das Leben?
Y dijo Rebeca á Isaac: Fastidio tengo de mi vida, á causa de las hijas de Heth. Si Jacob toma mujer de las hijas de Heth, como éstas, de las hijas de esta tierra, ¿para qué quiero la vida?
