Et Rébecca entendait lorsqu'Isaac parlait à Esaü, son fils. Et Esaü alla dans la campagne pour tuer du gibier et l'apporter.

Apporte-moi du gibier et fais-m'en un bon plat, afin que je le mange et que je te bénisse devant l'Eternel avant que je meure.
Tráeme caza, y hazme un guisado, para que coma, y te bendiga delante de Jehová antes que yo muera.
Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death.

Maintenant donc, mon fils, obéis-moi dans ce que je vais te commander.

Et Jacob dit à Rébecca, sa mère : Voici Esaü, mon frère, est velu, et moi j'ai la peau lisse.

Peut-être que mon père me tâtera, et je passerai à ses yeux pour m'être joué de lui, et j'attirerai sur moi une malédiction et non une bénédiction.

My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.

Et sa mère lui dit : Je prends sur moi ta malédiction, mon fils ; obéis-moi seulement ; va, prends-les moi.
Y su madre respondió: Hijo mío, sobre mí tu maldición: solamente obedece á mi voz, y ve y tráemelos.
And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.

Et il alla, les prit et les apporta à sa mère ; et sa mère en fit un bon plat, comme son père aimait.

Et Rébecca prit les beaux habits d'Esaü, son fils aîné, qu'elle avait dans la maison, et elle en vêtit Jacob, son fils cadet.
Y tomó Rebeca los vestidos de Esaú su hijo mayor, los preciosos, que ella tenía en casa, y vistió á Jacob su hijo menor:
And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son:
Rebekah took the good clothes of Esau, her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob, her younger son.

And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.

Et Isaac dit à son fils : Comment donc as-tu trouvé si vite, mon fils ? Et Jacob dit : C'est que l'Eternel ton Dieu l'a fait venir devant moi.
Entonces Isaac dijo á su hijo: ¿Cómo es que la hallaste tan presto, hijo mío? Y él respondió: Porque Jehová tu Dios hizo que se encontrase delante de mí.
And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me.
Isaac said to his son, “How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?” He said, “Because the LORD your God gave me success.”
Et Isaac dit à Jacob : Approche un peu, que je te tâte, mon fils pour savoir si tu es bien mon fils Esaü ou non.
E Isaac dijo á Jacob: Acércate ahora, y te palparé, hijo mío, por si eres mi hijo Esaú, ó no.
And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.
Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not.”
Et Jacob s'approcha d'Isaac, son père, qui le tâta et dit : La voix est la voix de Jacob, et les mains sont les mains d'Esaü.
Y llegóse Jacob á su padre Isaac; y él le palpó, y dijo: La voz es la voz de Jacob, mas las manos, las manos de Esaú.
And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.

Et comme il ne l'avait pas reconnu, parce que ses mains étaient velues comme celles d'Esaü, son frère, il le bénit.
Y no le conoció, porque sus manos eran vellosas como las manos de Esaú: y le bendijo.
And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him.

Y dijo: Acércamela, y comeré de la caza de mi hijo, para que te bendiga mi alma; y él se la acercó, y comió: trájole también vino, y bebió.
And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank.

Et il s'approcha et l'embrassa. Et Isaac sentit l'odeur de ses habits, et il le bénit et dit :Oui, le parfum de mon fils Est pareil au parfum de campagnes Qu'a bénies l'Eternel.
Y él se llegó, y le besó; y olió Isaac el olor de sus vestidos, y le bendijo, y dijo: Mira, el olor de mi hijo como el olor del campo que Jehová ha bendecido:
And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:
He came near, and kissed him. He smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him, and said, “Behold, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed.
Que Dieu te donne de la rosée des cieux Et des sucs de la terre, Et abondance de blé et de moût.

Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:

Que des peuples te servent Et que des nations se prosternent devant toi. Sois le maître de tes frères, Et que les fils de ta mère se prosternent devant toi ! Maudit soit qui te maudira ! Et béni soit qui te bénira !
Sírvante pueblos, y naciones se inclinen á ti: sé señor de tus hermanos, e inclínense á ti los hijos de tu madre: malditos los que te maldijeren, y benditos los que te bendijeren.
Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers. Let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you. Blessed be everyone who blesses you.”
Et il arriva que, quand Isaac eut achevé de bénir Jacob, et comme Jacob venait de sortir de devant Isaac, son père, Esaü, son frère, revint de la chasse.
Y aconteció, luego que hubo Isaac acabado de bendecir á Jacob, y apenas había salido Jacob de delante de Isaac su padre, que Esaú su hermano vino de su caza.
And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
As soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob, and Jacob had just gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
Et il fit, lui aussi, un bon plat, et il l'apporta, et dit à son père : Que mon père se lève et mange de la chasse de son fils, afin que ton âme me bénisse.

And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that thy soul may bless me.

Et Isaac fut saisi d'une terreur extrême, et il dit : Qui est donc celui qui a tué du gibier et m'en a apporté ? Et j'ai mangé de tout avant que tu vinsses, et je l'ai béni ; et aussi il sera béni.
Y estremecióse Isaac con grande estremecimiento, y dijo: ¿Quién es el que vino aquí, que cogió caza, y me trajo, y comí de todo antes que vinieses? Yo le bendije, y será bendito.
And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.
Isaac trembled violently, and said, “Who, then, is he who has taken venison, and brought it to me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? Yes, he will be blessed.”
Quand Esaü eut entendu les paroles de son père, il jeta un grand cri, un cri de douleur amère, et il dit à son père : Bénis-moi, moi aussi, mon père !
Como Esaú oyó las palabras de su padre, clamó con una muy grande y muy amarga exclamación, y le dijo: Bendíceme también á mí, padre mío.
And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

Et Isaac dit : Ton frère est venu en trompeur, et il a pris ta bénédiction.
Y él dijo: Vino tu hermano con engaño, y tomó tu bendición.
And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.
He said, “Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing.”
Et Esaü dit : Est-ce parce qu'on l'appelle Jacob qu'il m'a supplanté ces deux fois ? Il a pris mon droit d'aînesse, et voici maintenant il a pris ma bénédiction. Et il ajouta : N'as-tu pas en réserve pour moi une bénédiction ?
Y él respondió: Bien llamaron su nombre Jacob, que ya me ha engañado dos veces; alzóse con mi primogenitura, y he aquí ahora ha tomado mi bendición. Y dijo: ¿No has guardado bendición para mí?
And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?
He said, “Isn’t he rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright. See, now he has taken away my blessing.” He said, “Haven’t you reserved a blessing for me?”
Et Isaac répondit et dit à Esaü : Voici, je l'ai établi ton maître et je lui ai donné tous ses frères pour serviteurs et je l'ai fourni de froment et de moût. Pour toi donc, que ferais-je, mon fils ?
Isaac respondió y dijo á Esaú: He aquí yo le he puesto por señor tuyo, y le he dado por siervos á todos sus hermanos: de trigo y de vino le he provisto: ¿qué, pues, te haré á ti ahora, hijo mío?
And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
Isaac answered Esau, “Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brothers I have given to him for servants. I have sustained him with grain and new wine. What then will I do for you, my son?”
Et Esaü dit à son père : N'as-tu que cette seule bénédiction, mon père ? Bénis-moi, moi aussi, mon père ! Et Esaü éleva la voix et pleura.
Y Esaú respondió á su padre: ¿No tienes más que una sola bendición, padre mío? bendíceme también á mí, padre mío. Y alzó Esaú su voz, y lloró.
And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

Et Isaac son père répondit et lui dit : Voici, ta demeure sera privée des sucs de la terre Et de la rosée qui descend des cieux.
Entonces Isaac su padre habló y díjole: He aquí será tu habitación en grosuras de la tierra, y del rocío de los cielos de arriba;
And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
Isaac his father answered him, “Behold, your dwelling will be of the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of the sky from above.
Tu vivras de ton épée, Et tu seras asservi à ton frère. Et il arrivera que, en faisant effort, Tu briseras son joug de dessus ton cou.
Y por tu espada vivirás, y á tu hermano servirás: y sucederá cuando te enseñorees, que descargarás su yugo de tu cerviz.
And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.
You will live by your sword, and you will serve your brother. It will happen, when you will break loose, that you will shake his yoke from off your neck.”
Et Esaü devint ennemi de Jacob à cause de la bénédiction que son père lui avait donnée ; et Esaü dit en son cœur : Vienne le temps du deuil de mon père, alors je tuerai Jacob, mon frère.
Y aborreció Esaú á Jacob por la bendición con que le había bendecido, y dijo en su corazón: Llegarán los días del luto de mi padre, y yo mataré á Jacob mi hermano.
And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.

On rapporta à Rébecca les paroles d'Esaü, son fils aîné ; et elle envoya appeler Jacob, son fils cadet, et lui dit : Voici Esaü, ton frère, va se venger de toi en te tuant.
Y fueron dichas á Rebeca las palabras de Esaú su hijo mayor: y ella envió y llamó á Jacob su hijo menor, y díjole: He aquí, Esaú tu hermano se consuela acerca de ti con la idea de matarte.
And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
The words of Esau, her elder son, were told to Rebekah. She sent and called Jacob, her younger son, and said to him, “Behold, your brother Esau comforts himself about you by planning to kill you.
Maintenant donc, mon fils, écoute-moi : lève-toi, fuis vers Laban, mon frère, à Charan.

Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;

Et tu demeureras avec lui quelque temps, jusqu'à ce que la fureur de ton frère soit passée.
Y mora con él algunos días, hasta que el enojo de tu hermano se mitigue;
And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s fury turn away;

Une fois que la colère de ton frère se sera détournée de toi et qu'il aura oublié ce que tu lui as fait, je t'enverrai chercher de là. Pourquoi serais-je privée de vous deux en un même jour ?
Hasta que se aplaque la ira de tu hermano contra ti, y se olvide de lo que le has hecho: yo enviaré entonces, y te traeré de allá: ¿por qué seré privada de vosotros ambos en un día?
Until thy brother’s anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?
until your brother’s anger turns away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him. Then I will send, and get you from there. Why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?”
Et Rébecca dit à Isaac : Je suis dégoûtée de la vie à cause des filles de Heth. Si Jacob prend d'entre les filles de Heth une femme comme celles-là, d'entre les filles de ce pays, à quoi me sert la vie ?
Y dijo Rebeca á Isaac: Fastidio tengo de mi vida, á causa de las hijas de Heth. Si Jacob toma mujer de las hijas de Heth, como éstas, de las hijas de esta tierra, ¿para qué quiero la vida?
And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
Rebekah said to Isaac, “I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob takes a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these, of the daughters of the land, what good will my life do me?”
