Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

Yo multiplicaré tus descendientes como las estrellas del cielo, y les daré a tus descendientes todas estas tierras. A través de tus descendientes todas las naciones de la tierra serán bendecidas.

Así que Isaac se estableció en Gerar.

Cuando los hombres del lugar le preguntaron a él acerca de su esposa, él dijo: "Ella es mi hermana." Él tuvo miedo de decir: "Ella es mi esposa," porque él pensó: "Los hombres de este lugar me matarán para obtener a Rebeca, ya que ella es tan hermosa."

And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.
Abimelech called Isaac, and said, “Behold, surely she is your wife. Why did you say, ‘She is my sister’?” Isaac said to him, “Because I said, ‘Lest I die because of her.’”
Abimelec dijo: "¿Qué es esto que nos has hecho a nosotros? Uno del pueblo pudo fácilmente haber dormido con tu esposa y tú habrías traído culpa sobre nosotros."
Y Abimelech dijo: ¿Por qué nos has hecho esto? Por poco hubiera dormido alguno del pueblo con tu mujer, y hubieras traído sobre nosotros el pecado.
And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.
Abimelech said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt on us!”
Así que, Abimelec le adviritió a todo el pueblo y dijo: "Cualquiera que toque a este hombre o a su esposa, ciertamente será condenado a morir."
Entonces Abimelech mandó á todo el pueblo, diciendo: El que tocare á este hombre ó á su mujer, de cierto morirá.
And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

Isaac plantó cultivos en esa tierra y cosechó cien veces más ese mismo año, porque El SEÑOR lo bendijo.
Y sembró Isaac en aquella tierra, y halló aquel año ciento por uno: y bendíjole Jehová.
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

El hombre se volvió rico y creció más y más hasta que se volvió poderoso.

Él tenía muchas ovejas y ganado y una gran familia. Los filisteos lo envidiaban a él.

For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Abimelec le dijo a Isaac: "Vete lejos de nosotros, porque tú eres mucho más poderoso que nosotros."

And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.

Así que Isaac se fue de allí y se estableció en el Valle de Gerar, y ahí vivió.

Una vez más, Isaac cavó los pozos de agua, los cuales ellos habían cavado en los días de su padre Abraham. Los filisteos los habían tapado después de la muerte de Abraham. Isaac le puso a los pozos los mismos nombres que su padre los había nombrado.
Y volvió á abrir Isaac los pozos de agua que habían abierto en los días de Abraham su padre, y que los Filisteos habían cegado, muerto Abraham; y llamólos por los nombres que su padre los había llamado.
And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.

Entonces, ellos cavaron otro pozo, y discutieron sobre ese también, así que le dieron el nombre de Sitna.

Y apartóse de allí, y abrió otro pozo, y no riñeron sobre él: y llamó su nombre Rehoboth, y dijo: Porque ahora nos ha hecho ensanchar Jehová, y fructificaremos en la tierra.
And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
He left that place, and dug another well. They didn’t argue over that one. So he called it Rehoboth. He said, “For now the LORD has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.”
Luego, Isaac subió desde allí hasta Beerseba.

El SEÑOR se le apareció a él esa misma noche y le dijo: "Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, tu padre. No tengas miedo, porque Yo estoy contigo y te bendeciré y multiplicaré tus descendientes, por causa de mi siervo Abraham."
Y apareciósele Jehová aquella noche, y dijo: Yo soy el Dios de Abraham tu padre; no temas, que yo soy contigo, y yo te bendeciré, y multiplicaré tu simiente por amor de Abraham mi siervo.
And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake.
The LORD appeared to him the same night, and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham’s sake.”
Isaac construyó un altar allí e invocó el nombre del SEÑOR. Allí, él colocó su tienda y sus sirvientes cavaron un pozo.
Y edificó allí un altar, é invocó el nombre de Jehová, y tendió allí su tienda: y abrieron allí los siervos de Isaac un pozo.
And he builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac’s servants digged a well.

Entonces, Abimelec fue hasta él desde Gerar, con Ahuzat, su amigo, y Ficol, el capitán de su ejército.

Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends, and Phichol the chief captain of his army.

Isaac les dijo a ellos: "¿Por qué vienen donde mí, pues ustedes me odian y me han enviado lejos de ustedes?"
Y díjoles Isaac: ¿Por qué venís á mí, pues que me habéis aborrecido, y me echasteis de entre vosotros?
And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?
Isaac said to them, “Why have you come to me, since you hate me, and have sent me away from you?”
Entonces ellos dijeron: "Nosotros hemos visto claramente que El SEÑOR ha estado contigo. Así que decidimos que debe haber un juramento entre nosotros, sí, entre nosotros y tú. Así que, hagamos un pacto contigo,
Y ellos respondieron: Hemos visto que Jehová es contigo; y dijimos: Haya ahora juramento entre nosotros, entre nosotros y ti, y haremos alianza contigo:
And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
They said, “We saw plainly that the LORD was with you. We said, ‘Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let’s make a covenant with you,
que tú no nos harás daño, así como nosotros no te hemos hecho daño a ti y te hemos tratado bien enviándote lejos y en paz. Ciertamente, tú eres bendecido por El SEÑOR."
Que no nos hagas mal, como nosotros no te hemos tocado, y como solamente te hemos hecho bien, y te enviamos en paz: tú ahora, bendito de Jehová.
That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.
that you will do us no harm, as we have not touched you, and as we have done to you nothing but good, and have sent you away in peace.’ You are now the blessed of the LORD.”
Así que Isaac hizo un banquete para ellos, y ellos comieron y bebieron.

Ese mismo día los sirvientes de Isaac llegaron y le dijeron acerca del pozo que ellos habían cavado. Ellos dijeron: "Hemos encontrado agua."
Y en aquel día sucedió que vinieron los criados de Isaac, y diéronle nuevas acerca del pozo que habían abierto, y le dijeron: Agua hemos hallado.
And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac’s servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water.

Él nombró el pozo Seba, el nombre de esa esa ciudad es Beerseba hasta el día de hoy.
Y llamólo Seba: por cuya causa el nombre de aquella ciudad es Beer-seba hasta este día.
And he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the city is Beer-sheba unto this day.

Ellas trajeron tristeza a Isaac y a Rebeca.
Y fueron amargura de espíritu á Isaac y á Rebeca.
Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.
They grieved Isaac’s and Rebekah’s spirits.
