Porque Abraham escuchó mi voz y guardó mis palabras, mis reglas, mis órdenes y mis leyes.

Entonces Isaac siguió viviendo en Gerar;

Y cuando los hombres del lugar lo interrogaron acerca de su esposa, él dijo: Ella es mi hermana; temiendo decir: Ella es mi esposa; porque, dijo, los hombres del lugar me pueden matar por causa de Rebeca; porque ella es muy hermosa.
Y los hombres de aquel lugar le preguntaron acerca de su mujer; y él respondió: Es mi hermana; porque tuvo miedo de decir: Es mi mujer; que tal vez, dijo, los hombres del lugar me matarían por causa de Rebeca; porque era de hermoso aspecto.
And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

Y cuando estuvo allí un tiempo, Abimelec, rey de los filisteos, mirando por la ventana, vio a Isaac jugando con Rebeca su mujer.

Y llamó Abimelech á Isaac, y dijo: He aquí ella es de cierto tu mujer: ¿cómo, pues, dijiste: Es mi hermana? E Isaac le respondió: Porque dije: Quizá moriré por causa de ella.
And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.
Abimelech called Isaac, and said, “Behold, surely she is your wife. Why did you say, ‘She is my sister’?” Isaac said to him, “Because I said, ‘Lest I die because of her.’”
Entonces dijo Abimelec: ¿Qué nos has hecho? una de las personas bien podría haber acostado con tu esposa, y el pecado habría sido nuestro.
Y Abimelech dijo: ¿Por qué nos has hecho esto? Por poco hubiera dormido alguno del pueblo con tu mujer, y hubieras traído sobre nosotros el pecado.
And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.
Abimelech said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt on us!”
Y Abimelec ordenó a su pueblo que cualquiera que tocase a Isaac o su esposa fuera a morir.
Entonces Abimelech mandó á todo el pueblo, diciendo: El que tocare á este hombre ó á su mujer, de cierto morirá.
And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.
Abimelech commanded all the people, saying, “He who touches this man or his wife will surely be put to death.”
Y Isaac, plantando simiente en aquella tierra, en el mismo año dio fruto cien veces más, porque la bendición del Señor estaba sobre él.
Y sembró Isaac en aquella tierra, y halló aquel año ciento por uno: y bendíjole Jehová.
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

Y su riqueza se hizo muy grande, creciendo más y más;

porque tuvo gran riqueza de rebaños y vacas y gran número de siervos; de modo que los filisteos estaban llenos de envidia.

And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
He left that place, and dug another well. They didn’t argue over that one. So he called it Rehoboth. He said, “For now the LORD has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.”

Esa noche el Señor vino a él en visión, y dijo: Yo soy el Dios de tu padre Abraham; no temas, porque yo estoy contigo, te bendice, y tu descendencia aumentará a causa de mi siervo Abraham.
Y apareciósele Jehová aquella noche, y dijo: Yo soy el Dios de Abraham tu padre; no temas, que yo soy contigo, y yo te bendeciré, y multiplicaré tu simiente por amor de Abraham mi siervo.
And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake.

Entonces él hizo un altar allí, y adoró el nombre del Señor, y allí puso allí sus tiendas, y allí sus siervos hicieron un pozo de agua.

Y les dijo Isaac: ¿Por qué viniste a mí, viendo que en tu odio por mí me enviaste lejos de ti?

And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?

Y ellos dijeron: Hemos visto claramente que él Señor fué contigo; y dijimos: Hágase juramento entre tu y nosotros, y hagamos pacto contigo;

And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
They said, “We saw plainly that the LORD was with you. We said, ‘Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let’s make a covenant with you,
que no nos harás daño, así como nosotros no te impusimos ninguna mano, y no hiciste nada más que bien, y te enviaremos en paz; y ahora la bendición del Señor está sobre ti.
Que no nos hagas mal, como nosotros no te hemos tocado, y como solamente te hemos hecho bien, y te enviamos en paz: tú ahora, bendito de Jehová.
That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.
that you will do us no harm, as we have not touched you, and as we have done to you nothing but good, and have sent you away in peace.’ You are now the blessed of the LORD.”

Y tuvieron amarguras Isaac y Rebeca por causa de ellas.
Y fueron amargura de espíritu á Isaac y á Rebeca.
Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.
They grieved Isaac’s and Rebekah’s spirits.
