And the man ⌞became wealthier and wealthier⌟ until he was exceedingly wealthy.

Y el varón se engrandeció, y fué adelantando y engrandeciéndose, hasta hacerse muy poderoso:

And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

The man grew great, and grew more and more until he became very great.
