Abraham tomó a otra esposa; su nombre era Cetura.

Y ABRAHAM tomó otra mujer, cuyo nombre fué Cetura;

Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.

Ella dio a luz a Zimram, Jocsán, Medán, Madián, Isbac y Súa.

La cual le parió á Zimram, y á Joksan, y á Medan, y á Midiam, y á Ishbak, y á Sua.

And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

Jocsán se conviritió en el padre de Seba y Dedán. Los descendientes de Dedán fueron el pueblo asirio, letuseo y leumeo.

Y Joksan engendró á Seba, y á Dedán: é hijos de Dedán fueron Assurim, y Letusim, y Leummim.

And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

Los hijos de Madián fueron Efa, Efer, Hanoc, Abida y Elda. Todos ellos fueron los descendientes de Cetura.

E hijos de Midiam: Epha, y Epher, y Enech, y Abida, y Eldaa. Todos estos fueron hijos de Cetura.

Abraham le dio todo lo que tenía a Isaac.

Sin embargo, cuando aún vivía, le dio regalos a los hijos de sus concubinas y los envió a la tierra del este, lejos de Isaac, su hijo.

But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

Abraham respiró su último aliento y murió en una buena edad avanzada, un hombre viejo con una vida plena, y fue llevado a su pueblo.

Isaac e Ismael, sus hijos, lo sepultaron en la cueva de Macpela, en el campo de Efrón, hijo de Zohar el hitita, el cual está cerca de Mamre.

And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;

Este campo Abraham se lo compró a los hijos de Het. Abraham fue sepultado allí con su esposa Sara.

Heredad que compró Abraham de los hijos de Heth; allí fué Abraham sepultado, y Sara su mujer.

Después de la muerte de Abraham, Dios bendijo a su hijo Isaac, e Isaac vivió cerca de Beer Lajai Roi.

Y sucedió, después de muerto Abraham, que Dios bendijo á Isaac su hijo: y habitó Isaac junto al pozo del Viviente que me ve.

And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

Ahora, estos fueron los descendientes de Ismael, el hijo de Abraham, el que Agar la egipcia, sirvienta de Sara, le dio a Abraham.

Estos fueron los hijos de Ismael, y estos fueron sus nombres, de acuerdo a sus aldeas y campamentos; doce príncipes de acuerdo a sus tribus.

Ellos vivieron desde Havila hasta Shur, lo cual está cerca de Egipto, como yendo hacia Asiria. Ellos vivieron en hostilidad unos con otros.

Y habitaron desde Havila hasta Shur, que está enfrente de Egipto viniendo á Asiria; y murió en presencia de todos sus hermanos.

And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.

Estos fueron los eventos referentes a Isaac, el hijo de Abraham. Abraham se conviritió en el padre de Isaac.

Isaac tenía cuarenta años cuando tomó por esposa a Rebeca, la hija de Betuel, el arameo de Padán Aram, y hermana de Labán el arameo.

Y era Isaac de cuarenta años cuando tomó por mujer á Rebeca, hija de Bethuel Arameo de Padan-aram, hermana de Labán Arameo.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

EL SEÑOR le dijo a ella: "Dos naciones están en tu vientre, y dos pueblos serán separados desde dentro de ti. Un pueblo será más fuerte que el otro, y el mayor servirá al menor."

Y respondióle Jehová: Dos gentes hay en tu seno, y dos pueblos serán divididos desde tus entrañas: y el un pueblo será más fuerte que el otro pueblo, y el mayor servirá al menor.

And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

After that, his brother came out, and his hand had hold on Esau’s heel. He was named Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.

Los muchachos crecieron, y Esaú se convirtió en un cazador diestro, un hombre del campo; pero Jacob era un hombre callado, quien pasaba su tiempo en las tiendas.

Y crecieron los niños, y Esaú fué diestro en la caza, hombre del campo: Jacob empero era varón quieto, que habitaba en tiendas.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

Ahora, Isaac amaba a Esaú porque él se comía los animales que cazaba, pero Rebeca amaba a Jacob.

Y amó Isaac á Esaú, porque comía de su caza; mas Rebeca amaba á Jacob.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Jacob cocinó un guiso. Esaú llegó del campo y estaba débil del hambre.

Esaú le dijo a Jacob: "Aliméntame con ese guiso rojo. Por favor, ¡estoy agotado!" Esa es la razón por la cual lo llamaron Edom.

Dijo á Jacob: Ruégote que me des á comer de eso bermejo, pues estoy muy cansado. Por tanto fué llamado su nombre Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Esaú dijo: "Mira, estoy a punto de morir. ¿Qué bien me hace la primogenitura?"

Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

Jacob dijo: "Primero júramelo," así que Esaú hizo un juramento, y de esa manera él le vendió su primogenitura a Jacob.

Y dijo Jacob: Júramelo en este día. Y él le juró, y vendió á Jacob su primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

Jacob le dio a Esaú pan y guisado de lentejas. Él comió y bebió, luego se levantó y siguió su camino. De este modo, Esaú despreció su primogenitura.

Entonces Jacob dió á Esaú pan y del guisado de las lentejas; y él comió y bebió, y levantóse, y fuése. Así menospreció Esaú la primogenitura.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
