Und Abraham nahm wieder ein Weib, die hieß Ketura.

Y ABRAHAM tomó otra mujer, cuyo nombre fué Cetura;

Isaak aber war vierzig Jahre alt, da er die Tochter Bethuels, des Syrers von Mesopotamien, die Schwester des Syrers Laban, zum Weibe nahm.

Und Isaak hatte Esau lieb, weil ihm das Wildbret mundete; Rebekka aber hatte Jakob lieb.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Und Esau sprach zu Jakob: Siehe, ich muß doch sterben; was soll mir die Erstgeburt?

Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

Jakob sprach: So schwöre mir heute! Und er schwur ihm und verkaufte also dem Jakob seine Erstgeburt.

Y dijo Jacob: Júramelo en este día. Y él le juró, y vendió á Jacob su primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Da gab Jakob dem Esau Brot und das Linsengericht. Und er aß und trank und stand auf und ging davon. Also verachtete Esau die Erstgeburt.
