Et Abraham prit une seconde femme, et son nom était Ketura.

Y ABRAHAM tomó otra mujer, cuyo nombre fué Cetura;

And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

Et Abraham donna tout ce qu'il avait à Isaac ;

But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

champ qu'Abraham avait acquis des fils de Heth ; c'est là qu'Abraham reçut la sépulture, ainsi que Sarah sa femme.

Et après la mort d'Abraham Dieu bénit Isaac, son fils, et Isaac demeura près de la fontaine du Vivant-qui-voit.

And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

Et ils habitèrent de Havila à Sur qui est à l'orient de l'Egypte du côté d'Assur ; c'est à l'orient de tous ses frères qu'il s'établit.

Y habitaron desde Havila hasta Shur, que está enfrente de Egipto viniendo á Asiria; y murió en presencia de todos sus hermanos.

And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.

Et c'est ici l'histoire d'Isaac, fils d'Abraham.

Abraham engendra Isaac. Et Isaac avait quarante ans lorsqu'il prit pour femme Rebecca, fille de Béthuel, l'Araméen, de Mésopotamie, sœur de Laban, l'Araméen.

Y era Isaac de cuarenta años cuando tomó por mujer á Rebeca, hija de Bethuel Arameo de Padan-aram, hermana de Labán Arameo.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

Et l'Éternel lui dit :Deux nations sont dans tes flancs, Et deux peuples se dédoubleront au sortir de ton sein, Et l'un sera plus fort que l'autre, Et le grand sera sujet du petit.

Y respondióle Jehová: Dos gentes hay en tu seno, y dos pueblos serán divididos desde tus entrañas: y el un pueblo será más fuerte que el otro pueblo, y el mayor servirá al menor.

And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

Et le moment de sa délivrance étant arrivé, voici, deux jumeaux étaient dans son sein ;

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

Et les enfants devinrent grands, et Esaü devint habile à la chasse, et fut un homme des champs ; mais Jacob fut un homme rangé qui se tenait dans les tentes.

Y crecieron los niños, y Esaú fué diestro en la caza, hombre del campo: Jacob empero era varón quieto, que habitaba en tiendas.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

Et Isaac aimait Esaü, parce que Isaac était friand de venaison, tandis que Rebecca aimait Jacob.

Y amó Isaac á Esaú, porque comía de su caza; mas Rebeca amaba á Jacob.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Et †un jour Jacob faisait cuire un potage, et Esaü revenait des champs, et il était rendu.

Y guisó Jacob un potaje; y volviendo Esaú del campo cansado,

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.

Et Esaü dit à Jacob : Régale-moi donc de roux, de ce roux-là, car je suis rendu. C'est pour cela qu'il reçut le nom de Edom (le roux).

Dijo á Jacob: Ruégote que me des á comer de eso bermejo, pues estoy muy cansado. Por tanto fué llamado su nombre Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Et Jacob dit : Vends-moi d'abord ton droit d'aînesse !

Y Jacob respondió: Véndeme en este día tu primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

Et Esaü dit : Voici, je vais à la mort, à quoi me sert mon droit d'aînesse ?

Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

Et Jacob dit : Fais-moi d'abord serment. Et il lui fit serment et vendit son droit d'aînesse à Jacob.

Y dijo Jacob: Júramelo en este día. Y él le juró, y vendió á Jacob su primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

Et Jacob donna à Esaü du pain et un potage de lentilles ; et celui-ci mangea et but, et se leva et partit. C'est ainsi qu'Esaü méprisa son droit d'aînesse.

Entonces Jacob dió á Esaú pan y del guisado de las lentejas; y él comió y bebió, y levantóse, y fuése. Así menospreció Esaú la primogenitura.
