Abraham nahm wieder ein Weib, die hieß Ketura.

Y ABRAHAM tomó otra mujer, cuyo nombre fué Cetura;

Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.

Die gebar ihm Simran und Jaksan, Medan und Midian, Jesbak und Suah.

Jaksan aber zeugete Seba und Dedan. Die Kinder aber von Dedan waren: Assurim, Letusim und Leumim.

And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

Die Kinder Midians waren: Epha, Epher, Hanoch, Abida und Eldaa. Diese sind alle Kinder der Ketura.

Und Abraham gab all sein Gut Isaak.

Aber den Kindern, die er von den Kebsweibern hatte, gab er Geschenke und ließ sie von seinem Sohn Isaak ziehen, weil er noch lebte, gegen den Aufgang in das Morgenland.

Das ist aber Abrahams Alter, das er gelebet hat, hundertundfünfundsiebenzig Jahre.

Und sie wohneten von Hevila an bis gen Sur gegen Ägypten, wenn man gen Assyrien gehet. Er fiel aber vor allen seinen Brüdern.

Y habitaron desde Havila hasta Shur, que está enfrente de Egipto viniendo á Asiria; y murió en presencia de todos sus hermanos.

And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

Isaak aber war vierzig Jahre alt, da er Rebekka zum Weibe nahm, die Tochter Bethuels, des Syrers, von Mesopotamien, Labans, des Syrers, Schwester.

Y era Isaac de cuarenta años cuando tomó por mujer á Rebeca, hija de Bethuel Arameo de Padan-aram, hermana de Labán Arameo.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

Isaak aber bat den HERRN für sein Weib, denn sie war unfruchtbar. Und der HERR ließ sich erbitten, und Rebekka, sein Weib, ward schwanger.

Und der HERR sprach zu ihr: Zwei Völker sind in deinem Leibe, und zweierlei Leute werden sich scheiden aus deinem Leibe; und ein Volk wird dem andern überlegen sein, und der Größere wird dem Kleinem dienen.

Y respondióle Jehová: Dos gentes hay en tu seno, y dos pueblos serán divididos desde tus entrañas: y el un pueblo será más fuerte que el otro pueblo, y el mayor servirá al menor.

And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

Da nun die Zeit kam, daß sie gebären sollte, siehe, da waren Zwillinge in ihrem Leibe.

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

Und Isaak hatte Esau lieb und aß gern von seinem Weidwerk; Rebekka aber hatte Jakob lieb.

Y amó Isaac á Esaú, porque comía de su caza; mas Rebeca amaba á Jacob.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Und Jakob kochte ein Gericht. Da kam Esau vom Felde und war müde

Y guisó Jacob un potaje; y volviendo Esaú del campo cansado,

und sprach zu Jakob: Laß mich kosten das rote Gericht, denn ich bin müde. Daher heißt er Edom.

Dijo á Jacob: Ruégote que me des á comer de eso bermejo, pues estoy muy cansado. Por tanto fué llamado su nombre Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with some of that red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.

Aber Jakob sprach: Verkaufe mir heute deine Erstgeburt.

Y Jacob respondió: Véndeme en este día tu primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

Esau antwortete: Siehe, ich muß doch sterben, was soll mir dann die Erstgeburt?

Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

Jakob sprach: So schwöre mir heute. Und er schwur ihm und verkaufte also Jakob seine Erstgeburt.

Y dijo Jacob: Júramelo en este día. Y él le juró, y vendió á Jacob su primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

Da gab ihm Jakob Brot und das Linsengericht, und er aß und trank; und stund auf und ging davon. Also verachtete Esau seine Erstgeburt.

Entonces Jacob dió á Esaú pan y del guisado de las lentejas; y él comió y bebió, y levantóse, y fuése. Así menospreció Esaú la primogenitura.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
