Or Abraham prit une autre femme, nommée Kétura,

Y ABRAHAM tomó otra mujer, cuyo nombre fué Cetura;

And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

Et Abraham donna tout ce qui lui appartenait à Isaac.

Le champ qu’Abraham avait acheté des Héthiens : là fut enterré Abraham avec Sara sa femme.

And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

Et ses Descendants habitèrent depuis Havila jusqu’à Sur, qui est vis-à-vis de l’Egypte, quand on vient vers l’Assyrie ; et le pays qui était échu à Ismaël était à la vue de tous ses frères.

Y habitaron desde Havila hasta Shur, que está enfrente de Egipto viniendo á Asiria; y murió en presencia de todos sus hermanos.

And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.

Et Isaac était âgé de quarante ans, quand il se maria avec Rébecca, fille de Béthuel Syrien, de Paddan-Aram, soeur de Laban Syrien.

Y era Isaac de cuarenta años cuando tomó por mujer á Rebeca, hija de Bethuel Arameo de Padan-aram, hermana de Labán Arameo.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

Et Isaac pria instamment l’Eternel au sujet de sa femme, parce qu’elle était stérile ; et l’Eternel fut fléchi par ses prières ; et Rébecca sa femme conçut.

Et l’Eternel lui dit : Deux nations sont dans ton ventre, et deux peuples sortiront de tes entrailles ; et un peuple sera plus fort que l’autre peuple, et le plus grand sera asservi au moindre.

Y respondióle Jehová: Dos gentes hay en tu seno, y dos pueblos serán divididos desde tus entrañas: y el un pueblo será más fuerte que el otro pueblo, y el mayor servirá al menor.

And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

Et quand son temps d’enfanter fut accompli, voici il y avait deux jumeaux en son ventre.

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

Depuis, les enfants devinrent grands, et Esaü était un habile chasseur, et homme de campagne ; mais Jacob était un homme intègre et se tenant dans les tentes.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

Et Isaac aimait Esaü ; car la venaison était sa viande. Mais Rébecca aimait Jacob.

Y amó Isaac á Esaú, porque comía de su caza; mas Rebeca amaba á Jacob.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Y guisó Jacob un potaje; y volviendo Esaú del campo cansado,

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.

Et Esaü dit à Jacob : Donne-moi, je te prie, à manger de ce roux, de ce roux ; car je suis las. C’est pourquoi on appela son nom, Edom.

Dijo á Jacob: Ruégote que me des á comer de eso bermejo, pues estoy muy cansado. Por tanto fué llamado su nombre Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

Et Jacob dit : Jure-moi aujourd’hui ; et il lui jura ; ainsi il vendit son droit d’aînesse à Jacob.

Y dijo Jacob: Júramelo en este día. Y él le juró, y vendió á Jacob su primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

Et Jacob donna à Esaü du pain, et du potage de lentilles ; et il mangea, et but ; puis il se leva, et s’en alla ; ainsi Esaü méprisa son droit d’aînesse.

Entonces Jacob dió á Esaú pan y del guisado de las lentejas; y él comió y bebió, y levantóse, y fuése. Así menospreció Esaú la primogenitura.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
