ED Abrahamo prese un'altra moglie, il cui nome era Chetura.

Y ABRAHAM tomó otra mujer, cuyo nombre fué Cetura;

Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.

Ed ella gli partorì Zimran, e Iocsan, e Medan, e Madian, e Isbac, e Sua.

E Iocsan generò Seba e Dedan. Ed i figliuoli di Dedan furono Assurim, e Letusim, e Leummim.

Y Joksan engendró á Seba, y á Dedán: é hijos de Dedán fueron Assurim, y Letusim, y Leummim.

And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

Ed i figliuoli di Madian furono Efa, ed Efer ed Hanoc, ed Abida, ed Eldaa. Tutti questi furono figliuoli di Chetura.

E hijos de Midiam: Epha, y Epher, y Enech, y Abida, y Eldaa. Todos estos fueron hijos de Cetura.

And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.

Ed Abrahamo donò tutto il suo avere ad Isacco.

Y Abraham dió todo cuanto tenía á Isaac.

Ed a' figliuoli delle sue concubine diede doni; e mentre era in vita, li mandò via d'appresso al suo figliuolo Isacco, verso il Levante, nel paese Orientale.

Y á los hijos de sus concubinas dió Abraham dones, y enviólos de junto Isaac su hijo, mientras él vivía, hacia el oriente, á la tierra oriental.

But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

E Isacco ed Ismaele, suoi figliuoli, lo seppellirono nella spelonca di Macpela nel campo di Efron, figliuoli di Sohar Hitteo, ch'è dirimpetto a Mamre;

Y sepultáronlo Isaac é Ismael sus hijos en la cueva de Macpela, en la heredad de Ephrón, hijo de Zoar Hetheo, que está enfrente de Mamre;

And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;

ch'è il campo che Abrahamo avea comperato da' figliuoli di Het; quivi fu seppellito Abrahamo, e Sara, sua moglie.

Ora, dopo che Abrahamo fu morto, Iddio benedisse Isacco, suo figliuolo; e Isacco abitò presso del Pozzo del Vivente che mi vede.

Y sucedió, después de muerto Abraham, que Dios bendijo á Isaac su hijo: y habitó Isaac junto al pozo del Viviente que me ve.

And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

OR queste sono le generazioni d'Ismaele, figliuolo di Abrahamo, il quale Agar Egizia, serva di Sara, avea partorito ad Abrahamo.

Ed i suoi figliuoli abitarono da Havila fin a Sur, ch'è dirimpetto all'Egitto, traendo verso l'Assiria. Il paese di esso gli scadde dirimpetto a tutti i suoi fratelli.

Y habitaron desde Havila hasta Shur, que está enfrente de Egipto viniendo á Asiria; y murió en presencia de todos sus hermanos.

And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

Abrahamo generò Isacco. Ed Isacco era d'età di quarant'anni, quando prese per moglie Rebecca, figliuola di Betuel, Sirio, da Paddanaram, e sorella di Labano, Sirio.

Y era Isaac de cuarenta años cuando tomó por mujer á Rebeca, hija de Bethuel Arameo de Padan-aram, hermana de Labán Arameo.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

E Isacco fece orazione al Signore per la sua moglie; perciocchè ella era sterile: e il Signore l'esaudì; e Rebecca sua moglie concepette.

Ed i figliuoli si urtavano l'un l'altro nel suo seno. Ed ella disse: Se così è, perchè sono io in vita? E andò a domandarne il Signore.

And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.

E il Signore le disse: Due nazioni sono nel tuo seno; e due popoli diversi usciranno delle tue interiora; e l'un popolo sarà più possente dell'altro, e il maggiore servirà al minore.

Y respondióle Jehová: Dos gentes hay en tu seno, y dos pueblos serán divididos desde tus entrañas: y el un pueblo será más fuerte que el otro pueblo, y el mayor servirá al menor.

And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

E quando fu compiuto il termine di essa da partorire, ecco, due gemelli erano nel suo seno.

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

ED i fanciulli crebbero; ed Esaù fu uomo intendente della caccia, uomo di campagna; ma Giacobbe fu uomo semplice, che se ne stava ne' padiglioni.

Y crecieron los niños, y Esaú fué diestro en la caza, hombre del campo: Jacob empero era varón quieto, que habitaba en tiendas.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

E Isacco amava Esaù; perciocchè le selvaggine erano di suo gusto; e Rebecca amava Giacobbe.

Y amó Isaac á Esaú, porque comía de su caza; mas Rebeca amaba á Jacob.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Now Isaac loved Esau, because he ate his venison. Rebekah loved Jacob.

Ora, concendo Giacobbe una minestra, Esaù giunse da' campi, ed era stanco.

Y guisó Jacob un potaje; y volviendo Esaú del campo cansado,

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.

Ed Esaù disse a Giacobbe: Deh! dammi a mangiare un po' di cotesta minestra rossa; perciocchè io sono stanco; perciò egli fu nominato Edom.

Dijo á Jacob: Ruégote que me des á comer de eso bermejo, pues estoy muy cansado. Por tanto fué llamado su nombre Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with some of that red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.

E Giacobbe gli disse: Vendimi oggi la tua primogenitura.

Y Jacob respondió: Véndeme en este día tu primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

Jacob said, “First, sell me your birthright.”

Ed Esaù disse: Ecco, io me ne vo alla morte, che mi gioverà la primogenitura?

Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

E Giacobbe disse: Giurami oggi che tu me la vendi. Ed Esaù gliel giurò; e vendette la sua primogenitura a Giacobbe.

Y dijo Jacob: Júramelo en este día. Y él le juró, y vendió á Jacob su primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

E Giacobbe diede ad Esaù del pane, ed una minestra di lenticchie. Ed egli mangiò e bevve; poi si levò e se ne andò. Così Esaù sprezzò la primogenitura.

Entonces Jacob dió á Esaú pan y del guisado de las lentejas; y él comió y bebió, y levantóse, y fuése. Así menospreció Esaú la primogenitura.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
