*Et Abraham prit encore une femme, nommée Ketura ;

And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

– Et les fils de Madian : Épha, et Épher, et Hénoc, et Abida, et Eldaa. – Tous ceux-là furent fils de Ketura.

Et Abraham donna tout ce qui lui appartenait à Isaac.

le champ qu’Abraham avait acheté des fils de Heth. Là fut enterré Abraham, ainsi que Sara, sa femme.

And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahai-roi.

Et ils habitèrent depuis Havila jusqu’à Shur, qui est en face de l’Égypte, quand tu viens vers l’Assyrie. Il s’établit à la vue de tous ses frères.

Y habitaron desde Havila hasta Shur, que está enfrente de Egipto viniendo á Asiria; y murió en presencia de todos sus hermanos.

And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

They lived from Havilah to Shur that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He lived opposite all his relatives.

Et Isaac était âgé de 40 ans lorsqu’il prit pour femme Rebecca, fille de Bethuel l’Araméen de Paddan-Aram, sœur de Laban l’Araméen.

Y era Isaac de cuarenta años cuando tomó por mujer á Rebeca, hija de Bethuel Arameo de Padan-aram, hermana de Labán Arameo.

And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

Et l’Éternel lui dit : Deux nations sont dans ton ventre, et deux peuples se sépareront en sortant de tes entrailles ; et un peuple sera plus fort que l’autre peuple, et le plus grand sera asservi au plus petit.

Y respondióle Jehová: Dos gentes hay en tu seno, y dos pueblos serán divididos desde tus entrañas: y el un pueblo será más fuerte que el otro pueblo, y el mayor servirá al menor.

And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb. Two peoples will be separated from your body. The one people will be stronger than the other people. The elder will serve the younger.”

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

Et les enfants grandirent : et Ésaü était un homme habile à la chasse, un homme des champs ; et Jacob était un homme simple, qui habitait les tentes.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

Et Isaac aimait Ésaü, car le gibier était sa viande ; mais Rebecca aimait Jacob.

Y amó Isaac á Esaú, porque comía de su caza; mas Rebeca amaba á Jacob.

And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

Y guisó Jacob un potaje; y volviendo Esaú del campo cansado,

And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

Jacob boiled stew. Esau came in from the field, and he was famished.

Et Ésaü dit à Jacob : Laisse-moi, je te prie, avaler du roux, de ce roux-là ; car je suis las. C’est pourquoi on appela son nom Édom.

Dijo á Jacob: Ruégote que me des á comer de eso bermejo, pues estoy muy cansado. Por tanto fué llamado su nombre Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Et Jacob dit : Vends-moi aujourd’hui ton droit d’aînesse.

Et Ésaü dit : Voici, je m’en vais mourir ; et de quoi me sert le droit d’aînesse ?

Entonces dijo Esaú: He aquí yo me voy á morir; ¿para qué, pues, me servirá la primogenitura?

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

Esau said, “Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

Et Jacob dit : Jure-moi aujourd’hui. Et il lui jura, et vendit son droit d’aînesse à Jacob.

Y dijo Jacob: Júramelo en este día. Y él le juró, y vendió á Jacob su primogenitura.

And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” He swore to him. He sold his birthright to Jacob.

Et Jacob donna à Ésaü du pain et du potage de lentilles ; et il mangea et but, et se leva, et s’en alla : et Ésaü méprisa son droit d’aînesse.

Entonces Jacob dió á Esaú pan y del guisado de las lentejas; y él comió y bebió, y levantóse, y fuése. Así menospreció Esaú la primogenitura.

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
