und Esau sprach zu Jakob: Lass mich doch schnell von dem roten Ding essen, dem roten da; denn ich bin müde. Daher heisst er Edom. (1) d.i. Rot.

Dijo á Jacob: Ruégote que me des á comer de eso bermejo, pues estoy muy cansado. Por tanto fué llamado su nombre Edom.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with some of that red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.
