Génesis 24

Und Abraham war alt und wohlbetagt, und der HERR hatte Abraham in allem gesegnet.

Y ABRAHAM era viejo, y bien entrado en días; y Jehová había bendecido á Abraham en todo.

And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

Und Abraham sprach zu dem ältesten Knechte seines Hauses, der aller seiner Güter Verwalter war: Lege doch deine Hand unter meine Hüfte,

Y dijo Abraham á un criado suyo, el más viejo de su casa, que era el que gobernaba en todo lo que tenía: Pon ahora tu mano debajo de mi muslo,

And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:

Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please put your hand under my thigh.

daß ich dich schwören lasse bei dem HERRN, dem Gott des Himmels und der Erde, daß du meinem Sohne kein Weib nehmest von den Töchtern der Kanaaniter, unter welchen ich wohne,

Y te juramentaré por Jehová, Dios de los cielos y Dios de la tierra, que no has de tomar mujer para mi hijo de las hijas de los Cananeos, entre los cuales yo habito;

And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live.

sondern daß du in mein Vaterland und zu meiner Verwandtschaft ziehest und meinem Sohn Isaak ein Weib nehmest.

Sino que irás á mi tierra y á mi parentela, y tomarás mujer para mi hijo Isaac.

But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

But you shall go to my country, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”

Da sprach der Knecht zu ihm: Wie? wenn das Weib mir nicht in dieses Land folgen wollte, soll ich alsdann deinen Sohn wieder in das Land zurückbringen, daraus du gezogen bist?

Y el criado le respondió: Quizá la mujer no querrá venir en pos de mí á esta tierra: ¿volveré, pues, tu hijo á la tierra de donde saliste?

And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?

The servant said to him, “What if the woman isn’t willing to follow me to this land? Must I bring your son again to the land you came from?”

Abraham sprach zu ihm: Da hüte dich wohl, meinen Sohn wieder dahin zu bringen!

Y Abraham le dijo: Guárdate que no vuelvas á mi hijo allá.

And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

Abraham said to him, “Beware that you don’t bring my son there again.

Der HERR, der Gott des Himmels, der mich von meines Vaters Hause und aus dem Lande meiner Geburt genommen und mit mir geredet und mir auch geschworen und gesagt hat: «Dieses Land will ich deinem Samen geben», der wird seinen Engel vor dir her senden, daß du meinem Sohn von dort ein Weib nehmest.

Jehová, Dios de los cielos, que me tomó de la casa de mi padre y de la tierra de mi parentela, y me habló y me juró, diciendo: A tu simiente daré esta tierra; él enviará su ángel delante de ti, y tú tomarás de allá mujer para mi hijo.

The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.

The LORD, the God of heaven—who took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my birth, who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying, ‘I will give this land to your offspring—he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

Wenn das Weib dir aber nicht folgen will, so bist du entbunden von dem Eid, den du mir geschworen hast; nur bring meinen Sohn nicht wieder dorthin!

Y si la mujer no quisiere venir en pos de ti, serás libre de este mi juramento; solamente que no vuelvas allá á mi hijo.

And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

If the woman isn’t willing to follow you, then you shall be clear from this oath to me. Only you shall not bring my son there again.”

Da legte der Knecht seine Hand unter Abrahams, seines Herrn, Hüfte und schwur solches.

Entonces el criado puso su mano debajo del muslo de Abraham su señor, y juróle sobre este negocio.

And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.

The servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter.

Und der Knecht nahm zehn Kamele von den Kamelen seines Herrn und allerlei Güter seines Herrn, und machte sich auf und zog nach Mesopotamien, zu der Stadt Nahors.

Y el criado tomó diez camellos de los camellos de su señor, y fuése, pues tenía á su disposición todos los bienes de su señor: y puesto en camino, llegó á Mesopotamia, á la ciudad de Nachôr.

And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.

The servant took ten of his master’s camels, and departed, having a variety of good things of his master’s with him. He arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.

Da ließ er die Kamele draußen vor der Stadt sich lagern bei einem Wasserbrunnen am Abend, zur Zeit, da die Jungfrauen herauszugehen pflegten, um Wasser zu schöpfen.

E hizo arrodillar los camellos fuera de la ciudad, junto á un pozo de agua, á la hora de la tarde, á la hora en que salen las mozas por agua.

And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water.

Und er sprach: O HERR, du Gott meines Herrn Abraham, laß es mir doch heute gelingen und tue Barmherzigkeit an meinem Herrn Abraham!

Y dijo: Jehová, Dios de mi señor Abraham, dame, te ruego, el tener hoy buen encuentro, y haz misericordia con mi señor Abraham.

And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.

He said, “LORD, the God of my master Abraham, please give me success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham.

Siehe, ich stehe hier bei dem Wasserbrunnen, und die Töchter der Leute dieser Stadt werden herauskommen, Wasser zu schöpfen.

He aquí yo estoy junto á la fuente de agua, y las hijas de los varones de esta ciudad salen por agua:

Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:

Behold, I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.

Wenn nun eine Tochter kommt, zu der ich spreche: Neige doch deinen Krug, daß ich trinke, und sie spricht: Trinke, ich will deine Kamele auch tränken. So möge sie diejenige sein, die du deinem Diener Isaak bestimmt hast, und ich will daran erkennen, daß du an meinem Herrn Barmherzigkeit getan habest.

Sea, pues, que la moza á quien yo dijere: Baja tu cántaro, te ruego, para que yo beba; y ella respondiere: Bebe, y también daré de beber á tus camellos: que sea ésta la que tú has destinado para tu siervo Isaac; y en esto conoceré que habrás hecho misericordia con mi señor.

And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

Let it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say, ‘Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink,’ then she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink,’—let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

Und ehe er ausgeredet hatte, siehe, da kam heraus Rebekka, die Tochter Bethuels, der ein Sohn der Milka, des Weibes Nahors, des Bruders Abrahams war; die trug einen Krug auf ihrer Achsel.

Y aconteció que antes que él acabase de hablar, he aquí Rebeca, que había nacido á Bethuel, hijo de Milca, mujer de Nachôr hermano de Abraham, la cual salía con su cántaro sobre su hombro.

And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher on her shoulder.

Und sie war von Angesicht eine sehr schöne Tochter, eine Jungfrau, und kein Mann hatte sie erkannt; die stieg zum Brunnen hinab und füllte ihren Krug und stieg herauf.

Y la moza era de muy hermoso aspecto, virgen, á la que varón no había conocido; la cual descendió á la fuente, y llenó su cántaro, y se volvía.

And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.

The young lady was very beautiful to look at, a virgin. No man had known her. She went down to the spring, filled her pitcher, and came up.

Da lief der Knecht ihr entgegen und sprach: Laß mich doch ein wenig Wasser aus deinem Kruge trinken!

Entonces el criado corrió hacia ella, y dijo: Ruégote que me des á beber un poco de agua de tu cántaro.

And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.

The servant ran to meet her, and said, “Please give me a drink, a little water from your pitcher.”

Und sie sprach: Trinke, mein Herr! Und sie ließ den Krug eilend auf ihre Hand hernieder und tränkte ihn.

Y ella respondió: Bebe, señor mío: y dióse prisa á bajar su cántaro sobre su mano, y le dió á beber.

And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.

She said, “Drink, my lord.” She hurried, and let down her pitcher on her hand, and gave him a drink.

Und da sie ihn getränkt hatte, sprach sie: Ich will deinen Kamelen auch schöpfen, bis sie genug getrunken haben.

Y cuando acabó de darle á beber, dijo: También para tus camellos sacaré agua, hasta que acaben de beber.

And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.

When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will also draw for your camels, until they have finished drinking.”

Und sie eilte und leerte den Krug aus in die Tränke und lief abermal zum Brunnen, um zu schöpfen, und schöpfte allen seinen Kamelen.

Y dióse prisa, y vació su cántaro en la pila, y corrió otra vez al pozo para sacar agua, y sacó para todos sus camellos.

And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels.

She hurried, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again to the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.

Und der Mann verwunderte sich über sie, schwieg aber stille, bis er erkannt hatte, ob der HERR seine Reise habe gelingen lassen oder nicht.

Y el hombre estaba maravillado de ella, callando, para saber si Jehová había prosperado ó no su viaje.

And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not.

The man looked steadfastly at her, remaining silent, to know whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not.

Als nun die Kamele alle getrunken hatten, nahm er einen goldenen Ring, einen halben Schekel schwer, und zwei Armbänder an ihre Hände, zehn Schekel Goldes schwer,

Y fué que como los camellos acabaron de beber, presentóle el hombre un pendiente de oro que pesaba medio siclo, y dos brazaletes que pesaban diez:

And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;

As the camels had finished drinking, the man took a golden ring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold,

und sprach: Sage mir doch, wessen Tochter bist du? Haben wir in deines Vaters Hause auch Platz zu herbergen?

Y dijo: ¿De quién eres hija? Ruégote me digas, ¿hay lugar en casa de tu padre donde posemos?

And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in?

and said, “Whose daughter are you? Please tell me. Is there room in your father’s house for us to stay?”

Sie sprach zu ihm: Ich bin Bethuels Tochter, des Sohnes der Milka, den sie dem Nahor geboren hat.

Y ella respondió: Soy hija de Bethuel, hijo de Milca, el cual parió ella á Nachôr.

And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor.

She said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.”

Und sie sagte weiter zu ihm: Es ist auch viel Stroh und Futter bei uns und Platz genug zum Herbergen.

Y añadió: También hay en nuestra casa paja y mucho forraje, y lugar para posar.

She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in.

She said moreover to him, “We have both straw and feed enough, and room to lodge in.”

Da neigte sich der Mann und betete an vor dem HERRN

El hombre entonces se inclinó, y adoró á Jehová.

And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.

The man bowed his head, and worshiped the LORD.

und sprach: Gelobet sei der HERR, der Gott meines Herrn Abraham, der seine Gnade und Treue meinem Herrn nicht entzogen hat, denn der HERR hat mich den Weg zum Hause des Bruders meines Herrn geführt!

Y dijo: Bendito sea Jehová, Dios de mi amo Abraham, que no apartó su misericordia y su verdad de mi amo, guiándome Jehová en el camino á casa de los hermanos de mi amo.

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren.

He said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his loving kindness and his truth toward my master. As for me, the LORD has led me on the way to the house of my master’s relatives.”

Und die Tochter lief und sagte solches alles im Hause ihrer Mutter.

Y la moza corrió, é hizo saber en casa de su madre estas cosas.

And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother’s house these things.

The young lady ran, and told her mother’s house about these words.

Und Rebekka hatte einen Bruder, der hieß Laban. Und Laban lief geschwind zu dem Manne draußen bei dem Brunnen.

Y Rebeca tenía un hermano que se llamaba Labán, el cual corrió afuera al hombre, á la fuente;

And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well.

Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban. Laban ran out to the man, to the spring.

Und es geschah, als er den Ring und die Armbänder an den Händen seiner Schwester sah und die Worte seiner Schwester Rebekka hörte, die sprach: Also hat der Mann zu mir geredet! da kam er zu dem Manne, und siehe, der stand bei den Kamelen am Brunnen.

Y fué que como vió el pendiente y los brazaletes en las manos de su hermana, que decía, Así me habló aquel hombre; vino á él: y he aquí que estaba junto á los camellos á la fuente.

And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well.

When he saw the ring, and the bracelets on his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, “This is what the man said to me,” he came to the man. Behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring.

Und er sprach: Komm herein, du Gesegneter des HERRN, warum stehst du draußen? Ich habe das Haus geräumt und für die Kamele Platz gemacht.

Y díjole: Ven, bendito de Jehová; ¿por qué estás fuera? yo he limpiado la casa, y el lugar para los camellos.

And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the LORD; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.

He said, “Come in, you blessed of the LORD. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.”

Also führte er den Mann ins Haus und zäumte die Kamele ab und gab ihnen Stroh und Futter und Wasser, um seine Füße und die Füße der Männer, die mit ihm waren, zu waschen,

Entonces el hombre vino á casa, y Labán desató los camellos; y dióles paja y forraje, y agua para lavar los piés de él, y los piés de los hombres que con él venían.

And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men’s feet that were with him.

The man came into the house, and he unloaded the camels. He gave straw and feed for the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him.

und setzte ihm zu essen vor. Er aber sprach: Ich will nicht essen, bevor ich meine Sache vorgetragen habe. Er antwortete: Sage an!

Y pusiéronle delante qué comer; mas él dijo: No comeré hasta que haya dicho mi mensaje. Y él le dijo: Habla.

And there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.

Food was set before him to eat, but he said, “I will not eat until I have told my message.” Laban said, “Speak on.”

Er sprach: Ich bin ein Knecht Abrahams.

Entonces dijo: Yo soy criado de Abraham;

And he said, I am Abraham’s servant.

He said, “I am Abraham’s servant.

Und der HERR hat meinen Herrn reichlich gesegnet, daß er groß geworden ist, denn er hat ihm Schafe und Ochsen, Silber und Gold, Knechte und Mägde, Kamele und Esel gegeben.

Y Jehová ha bendecido mucho á mi amo, y él se ha engrandecido: y le ha dado ovejas y vacas, plata y oro, siervos y siervas, camellos y asnos.

And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

The LORD has blessed my master greatly. He has become great. The LORD has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, and camels and donkeys.

Dazu hat Sarah, meines Herrn Weib, in ihrem Alter meinem Herrn einen Sohn geboren, demselben hat er alles, was sein ist, gegeben.

Y Sara, mujer de mi amo, parió en su vejez un hijo á mi señor, quien le ha dado todo cuanto tiene.

And Sarah my master’s wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath.

Sarah, my master’s wife, bore a son to my master when she was old. He has given all that he has to him.

Und mein Herr hat einen Eid von mir genommen und gesagt: Du sollst meinem Sohne kein Weib nehmen von den Töchtern der Kanaaniter, in deren Lande ich wohne;

Y mi amo me hizo jurar, diciendo: No tomarás mujer para mi hijo de las hijas de los Cananeos, en cuya tierra habito;

And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:

My master made me swear, saying, ‘You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live,

sondern ziehe hin zu meines Vaters Haus und zu meinem Geschlecht; daselbst nimm meinem Sohn ein Weib.

Sino que irás á la casa de mi padre, y á mi parentela, y tomarás mujer para mi hijo.

But thou shalt go unto my father’s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.

but you shall go to my father’s house, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son.’

Ich sprach aber zu meinem Herrn: Wie? wenn mir das Weib nicht folgen will?

Y yo dije: Quizás la mujer no querrá seguirme.

And I said unto my master, Peradventure the woman will not follow me.

I asked my master, ‘What if the woman will not follow me?’

Da sprach er zu mir: Der HERR, vor dem ich wandle, wird seinen Engel mit dir senden und deinen Weg gelingen lassen, daß du meinem Sohne von meiner Verwandtschaft und von meines Vaters Hause ein Weib nehmest.

Entonces él me respondió: Jehová, en cuya presencia he andado, enviará su ángel contigo, y prosperará tu camino; y tomarás mujer para mi hijo de mi linaje y de la casa de mi padre:

And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house:

He said to me, ‘The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you, and prosper your way. You shall take a wife for my son from my relatives, and of my father’s house.

Alsdann sollst du des Eides entbunden sein, wenn du zu meiner Verwandtschaft kommst und sie dir dieselbe nicht geben; so sollst du des Eides entbunden sein.

Entonces serás libre de mi juramento, cuando hubieres llegado á mi linaje; y si no te la dieren, serás libre de mi juramento.

Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath.

Then you will be clear from my oath, when you come to my relatives. If they don’t give her to you, you shall be clear from my oath.’

Also kam ich heute zum Wasserbrunnen und sprach: O HERR, Gott, meines Herrn Abraham, wenn du doch zu meiner Reise Glück gäbest, welche ich gemacht!

Llegué, pues, hoy á la fuente, y dije: Jehová, Dios de mi señor Abraham, si tú prosperas ahora mi camino por el cual ando;

And I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:

I came today to the spring, and said, ‘The LORD, the God of my master Abraham, if now you do prosper my way which I go—

Siehe, ich stehe hier bei dem Wasserbrunnen. Wenn nun eine Jungfrau herauskommt zu schöpfen und ich spreche: «Gib mir aus deinem Krug ein wenig Wasser zu trinken»,

He aquí yo estoy junto á la fuente de agua; sea, pues, que la doncella que saliere por agua, á la cual dijere: Dame á beber, te ruego, un poco de agua de tu cántaro;

Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;

behold, I am standing by this spring of water. Let it happen, that the maiden who comes out to draw, to whom I will say, “Please give me a little water from your pitcher to drink,”

und sie zu mir sagen wird: «Trinke, ich will deinen Kamelen auch schöpfen», so möge doch diese das Weib sein, welches der HERR dem Sohn meines Herrn bestimmt hat!

Y ella me respondiere, Bebe tú, y también para tus camellos sacaré agua: ésta sea la mujer que destinó Jehová para el hijo de mi señor.

And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my master’s son.

then she tells me, “Drink, and I will also draw for your camels,”—let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master’s son.’

Ehe ich nun solche Worte in meinem Herzen ausgeredet hatte, siehe, da kommt Rebekka mit einem Krug auf ihrer Achsel und geht zum Brunnen hinab und schöpft. Da sprach ich zu ihr: «Gib mir zu trinken!»

Y antes que acabase de hablar en mi corazón, he aquí Rebeca, que salía con su cántaro sobre su hombro; y descendió á la fuente, y sacó agua; y le dije: Ruégote que me des á beber.

And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.

Before I had finished speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came out with her pitcher on her shoulder. She went down to the spring, and drew. I said to her, ‘Please let me drink.’

Und sie nahm den Krug eilend von ihrer Achsel und sprach: «Trink, ich will deine Kamele auch tränken!» Also trank ich, und sie tränkte die Kamele auch.

Y prestamente bajó su cántaro de encima de sí, y dijo: Bebe, y también á tus camellos daré á beber. Y bebí, y dió también de beber á mis camellos.

And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.

She hurried and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink.’ So I drank, and she also gave the camels a drink.

Und ich fragte sie und sprach: «Wessen Tochter bist du?» Sie antwortete: «Ich bin Bethuels Tochter, des Sohnes Nahors, den ihm Milka geboren hat.» Da legte ich einen Ring an ihre Nase und Armbänder an ihre Hände

Entonces preguntéle, y dije: ¿De quién eres hija? Y ella respondió: Hija de Bethuel, hijo de Nachôr, que le parió Milca. Entonces púsele un pendiente sobre su nariz, y brazaletes sobre sus manos:

And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.

I asked her, and said, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him.’ I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands.

und neigte mich und betete an vor dem HERRN und lobte den HERRN, den Gott meines Herrn Abraham, der mich den rechten Weg geführt hat, daß ich seinem Sohne die Tochter des Bruders meines Herrn nehme.

E inclinéme, y adoré á Jehová, y bendije á Jehová, Dios de mi señor Abraham, que me había guiado por camino de verdad para tomar la hija del hermano de mi señor para su hijo.

And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.

Da antworteten Laban und Bethuel und sprachen: Das ist vom HERRN gekommen, darum können wir nichts wider dich reden, weder Böses noch Gutes!

Als nun Abrahams Knecht ihre Worte hörte, bückte er sich vor dem HERRN zur Erde.

And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.

Aber ihr Bruder und ihre Mutter sprachen: Laß doch die Tochter etliche Tage lang, zum wenigsten zehn, bei uns bleiben, darnach magst du ziehen!

Entonces respondió su hermano y su madre: Espere la moza con nosotros á lo menos diez días, y después irá.

And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.

Da sprach er zu ihnen: Haltet mich nicht auf, denn der HERR hat meinen Weg gelingen lassen; lasset mich zu meinem Herrn ziehen!

Y él les dijo: No me detengáis, pues que Jehová ha prosperado mi camino; despachadme para que me vaya á mi señor.

And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.

He said to them, “Don’t hinder me, since the LORD has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master.”

Da sprachen sie: Lasset uns die Tochter rufen und fragen, was sie dazu sage!

Ellos respondieron entonces: Llamemos la moza y preguntémosle.

And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.

They said, “We will call the young lady, and ask her.”

Und sie riefen Rebekka und sprachen zu ihr: Willst du mit diesem Manne ziehen? Sie antwortete: Ja, ich will mit ihm ziehen!

Y llamaron á Rebeca, y dijéronle: ¿Irás tú con este varón? Y ella respondió: Sí, iré.

And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

Also ließen sie Rebekka, ihre Schwester, mit ihrer Amme, samt dem Knecht Abrahams und seinen Leuten ziehen.

And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

Also machten sich Rebekka und ihre Mägde auf und setzten sich auf die Kamele und zogen dem Manne nach. Und der Knecht nahm Rebekka und zog hin.

For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

She said to the servant, “Who is the man who is walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said, “It is my master.” She took her veil, and covered herself.

Und der Knecht erzählte dem Isaak alles, was er ausgerichtet hatte.

Da führte sie Isaak in die Hütte seiner Mutter Sarah und nahm die Rebekka, und sie ward sein Weib, und er gewann sie lieb. Also ward Isaak getröstet nach seiner Mutter Tod.
