Génesis 24

{Und} Abraham †war alt, hochbetagt. Und JHWH hatte Abraham in allem gesegnet.

Y ABRAHAM era viejo, y bien entrado en días; y Jehová había bendecido á Abraham en todo.

And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

Abraham was old, and well advanced in age. The LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

Da sprach Abraham zu seinem Knecht (Diener), dem Hausältesten, der herrschte über alles, was ihm gehörte: Lege deine Hand unter meine Hüfte,

Y dijo Abraham á un criado suyo, el más viejo de su casa, que era el que gobernaba en todo lo que tenía: Pon ahora tu mano debajo de mi muslo,

And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:

Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please put your hand under my thigh.

damit ich dich schwören lasse bei JHWH, dem Gott des Himmels und dem Gott der Erde, dass du nicht nehmen wirst eine Frau für meinen Sohn von den Töchtern der Kanaanäer, in deren Mitte ich wohne.

Y te juramentaré por Jehová, Dios de los cielos y Dios de la tierra, que no has de tomar mujer para mi hijo de las hijas de los Cananeos, entre los cuales yo habito;

And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live.

Sondern in mein Land und zu meiner Verwandtschaft sollst du ziehen (gehen) und eine Frau für meinen Sohn Isaak nehmen (holen).

Sino que irás á mi tierra y á mi parentela, y tomarás mujer para mi hijo Isaac.

But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

But you shall go to my country, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”

Da sprach der Knecht (Diener) zu ihm: Vielleicht will die Frau nicht mit mir in dieses Land gehen. MUSS ich dann deinen Sohn in das Land bringen, aus (von) dem du ausgezogen bist?

Y el criado le respondió: Quizá la mujer no querrá venir en pos de mí á esta tierra: ¿volveré, pues, tu hijo á la tierra de donde saliste?

And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?

The servant said to him, “What if the woman isn’t willing to follow me to this land? Must I bring your son again to the land you came from?”

Da sprach zu ihm Abraham: Hüte dich, dass du nicht meinen Sohn dorthin zurückbringst!

Y Abraham le dijo: Guárdate que no vuelvas á mi hijo allá.

And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

Abraham said to him, “Beware that you don’t bring my son there again.

JHWH, Gott des Himmels, der mich nahm aus dem Haus meines Vaters und aus dem Land meiner Verwandtschaft, der zu mir sprach und der mir schwor {folgendermaßen}: Deiner Nachkommenschaft (deinem Samen) werde ich dieses Land geben, er wird seinen Boten (Engel) vor dir her senden, damit du meinem Sohn eine Frau von dort nehmen kannst.

Jehová, Dios de los cielos, que me tomó de la casa de mi padre y de la tierra de mi parentela, y me habló y me juró, diciendo: A tu simiente daré esta tierra; él enviará su ángel delante de ti, y tú tomarás de allá mujer para mi hijo.

The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.

The LORD, the God of heaven—who took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my birth, who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying, ‘I will give this land to your offspring—he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

Wenn aber die Frau nicht mit dir kommen will, dann bist du ledig dieses Eides, †den du mir geschworen hast. Nur bringe meinen Sohn nicht dorthin zurück.

Y si la mujer no quisiere venir en pos de ti, serás libre de este mi juramento; solamente que no vuelvas allá á mi hijo.

And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

If the woman isn’t willing to follow you, then you shall be clear from this oath to me. Only you shall not bring my son there again.”

Da legte der Knecht (Diener) seine Hand unter die Hüfte Abrahams, seines Herrn, und schwor ihm auf dieses Wort.

Entonces el criado puso su mano debajo del muslo de Abraham su señor, y juróle sobre este negocio.

And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.

The servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter.

Dann nahm der Knecht (Diener) zehn Kamele von den Kamelen seines Herrn und zog los (ging hin), und verfügte über allerhand (allerlei) Güter (Kostbarkeiten) seines Herrn. Er machte sich also auf und zog (ging) nach Aram Naharaim zur Stadt Nahors.

Y el criado tomó diez camellos de los camellos de su señor, y fuése, pues tenía á su disposición todos los bienes de su señor: y puesto en camino, llegó á Mesopotamia, á la ciudad de Nachôr.

And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.

The servant took ten of his master’s camels, and departed, having a variety of good things of his master’s with him. He arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.

Da ließ er die Kamele knien außerhalb der Stadt an einem Wasserbrunnen zur Abendzeit, zur Zeit, wo die Frauen zum Schöpfen (die Schöpferinnen) hinausgehen.

E hizo arrodillar los camellos fuera de la ciudad, junto á un pozo de agua, á la hora de la tarde, á la hora en que salen las mozas por agua.

And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water.

Und er sprach: JHWH, Gott meines Herrn Abraham, füge es bitte heute für mich und erweise Gnade (Huld) {mit} meinem Herrn Abraham.

Y dijo: Jehová, Dios de mi señor Abraham, dame, te ruego, el tener hoy buen encuentro, y haz misericordia con mi señor Abraham.

And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.

He said, “LORD, the God of my master Abraham, please give me success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham.

Sieh, ich will mich an die Wasserquelle stellen, wenn die Töchter der Stadtbewohner herauskommen, um Wasser zu schöpfen.

He aquí yo estoy junto á la fuente de agua, y las hijas de los varones de esta ciudad salen por agua:

Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:

Behold, I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.

Sollte ein Mädchen, zu dem ich sage: Neige doch deinen Krug, damit ich trinken kann, antworten: Trink! Und auch deine Kamele will (werde) ich tränken: Die hast du bestimmt für deinen Knecht, für Isaak, und durch sie (daran) werde (will) ich erkennen, dass du {mit} meinem Herrn Gnade erwiesen hast (gnädig bist).

Sea, pues, que la moza á quien yo dijere: Baja tu cántaro, te ruego, para que yo beba; y ella respondiere: Bebe, y también daré de beber á tus camellos: que sea ésta la que tú has destinado para tu siervo Isaac; y en esto conoceré que habrás hecho misericordia con mi señor.

And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

Let it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say, ‘Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink,’ then she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink,’—let her be the one you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”

Und es geschah, er hatte noch nicht zuende geredet, sieh!, Rebekka kommt heraus, die geboren wurde dem Betuel, dem Sohn Milkas, der Frau Nahors, des Bruders Abrahams, (und ein Krug auf ihrer Schulter =) mit einem Krug auf der Schulter.

Y aconteció que antes que él acabase de hablar, he aquí Rebeca, que había nacido á Bethuel, hijo de Milca, mujer de Nachôr hermano de Abraham, la cual salía con su cántaro sobre su hombro.

And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher on her shoulder.

Und das Mädchen war sehr schön anzusehen, eine Jungfrau, und ein Mann hatte sie noch nicht erkannt, die stieg hinab zur Quelle, füllte ihren Krug und stieg †wieder hinauf.

Y la moza era de muy hermoso aspecto, virgen, á la que varón no había conocido; la cual descendió á la fuente, y llenó su cántaro, y se volvía.

And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.

The young lady was very beautiful to look at, a virgin. No man had known her. She went down to the spring, filled her pitcher, and came up.

Da lief (eilte) der Knecht (Diener) ihr entgegen und bat (sprach): Lass mich bitte ein wenig Wasser aus deinem Krug schlürfen.

Entonces el criado corrió hacia ella, y dijo: Ruégote que me des á beber un poco de agua de tu cántaro.

And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.

The servant ran to meet her, and said, “Please give me a drink, a little water from your pitcher.”

Da sprach sie: Trink, mein Herr. Sie nahm schnell den Krug herunter auf ihre Hand und ließ ihn trinken.

Y ella respondió: Bebe, señor mío: y dióse prisa á bajar su cántaro sobre su mano, y le dió á beber.

And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.

She said, “Drink, my lord.” She hurried, and let down her pitcher on her hand, and gave him a drink.

Nachdem sie ihm genug zu trinken gegeben hatte, sagte sie: Auch deinen Kamelen will ich schöpfen, bis sie sich satt getrunken haben.

Y cuando acabó de darle á beber, dijo: También para tus camellos sacaré agua, hasta que acaben de beber.

And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.

When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will also draw for your camels, until they have finished drinking.”

Da goß sie schnell ihren Krug in die Tränke und lief noch einmal zum Brunnen, um zu schöpfen, und schöpfte für alle seine Kamele.

Y dióse prisa, y vació su cántaro en la pila, y corrió otra vez al pozo para sacar agua, y sacó para todos sus camellos.

And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels.

She hurried, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again to the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.

Der Mann aber schaute ihr zu, schweigend, um zu erkennen, ob JHWH seinen Plan (Weg, Reise) gelingen ließ oder nicht.

Y el hombre estaba maravillado de ella, callando, para saber si Jehová había prosperado ó no su viaje.

And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not.

The man looked steadfastly at her, remaining silent, to know whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not.

Als sich aber die Kamele satt getrunken hatten, da nahm der Mann einen goldenen †Nasen-Ring, einen Halbschekel schwer, und zwei Armspangen für ihre Hand, zehn Goldschekel schwer,

Y fué que como los camellos acabaron de beber, presentóle el hombre un pendiente de oro que pesaba medio siclo, y dos brazaletes que pesaban diez:

And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;

As the camels had finished drinking, the man took a golden ring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold,

und sprach: Wessen Tochter bist du? Sag mir bitte, gibt es für uns Platz im Haus deines Vaters zum Übernachten?

Y dijo: ¿De quién eres hija? Ruégote me digas, ¿hay lugar en casa de tu padre donde posemos?

And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in?

and said, “Whose daughter are you? Please tell me. Is there room in your father’s house for us to stay?”

Da sprach sie zu ihm: Ich bin die Tochter Betuels, der Sohn Milkas, den sie dem Nahor gebar.

Y ella respondió: Soy hija de Bethuel, hijo de Milca, el cual parió ella á Nachôr.

And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor.

She said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.”

Und sie sprach †weiter zu ihm: Wir haben eine Menge (viel) {sowohl} Häcksel {als auch} †und Futter, auch Platz zum Übernachten.

Y añadió: También hay en nuestra casa paja y mucho forraje, y lugar para posar.

She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in.

She said moreover to him, “We have both straw and feed enough, and room to lodge in.”

Da warf sich der Mann auf die Knie und betete zu JHWH

El hombre entonces se inclinó, y adoró á Jehová.

And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.

The man bowed his head, and worshiped the LORD.

und sprach: Gepriesen sei JHWH, der Gott meines Herrn Abraham, der nicht (abgelassen =) entzogen hat seine Gnade und Treue meinem Herrn. Mich hat JHWH auf meinem Weg geführt †ins Haus des Bruders meines Herrn.

Y dijo: Bendito sea Jehová, Dios de mi amo Abraham, que no apartó su misericordia y su verdad de mi amo, guiándome Jehová en el camino á casa de los hermanos de mi amo.

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren.

He said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his loving kindness and his truth toward my master. As for me, the LORD has led me on the way to the house of my master’s relatives.”

Da lief das Mädchen und erzählte (meldete) dem Haus ihrer Mutter diese Dinge.

Y la moza corrió, é hizo saber en casa de su madre estas cosas.

And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother’s house these things.

The young lady ran, and told her mother’s house about these words.

Rebekka hatte aber einen Bruder, der hieß Laban. *Da lief Laban zum Mann außerhalb der Stadt*

Y Rebeca tenía un hermano que se llamaba Labán, el cual corrió afuera al hombre, á la fuente;

And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well.

Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban. Laban ran out to the man, to the spring.

Und es geschah, als er sah den †Nasen-Ring und die Armspangen an den Händen seiner Schwester, und als er hörte die Worte Rebekkas, seiner Schwester {folgendermaßen}: So sprach der Mann zu mir, ** und als er kam zu dem Mann: Sieh, da steht er bei den Kamelen an der Quelle.

Y fué que como vió el pendiente y los brazaletes en las manos de su hermana, que decía, Así me habló aquel hombre; vino á él: y he aquí que estaba junto á los camellos á la fuente.

And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well.

When he saw the ring, and the bracelets on his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, “This is what the man said to me,” he came to the man. Behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring.

Und er sprach: Komm †herein, Gesegneter JHWHs! Warum stehst du draußen? Ich habe das Haus aufgeräumt und Platz †ist für die Kamele.

Y díjole: Ven, bendito de Jehová; ¿por qué estás fuera? yo he limpiado la casa, y el lugar para los camellos.

And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the LORD; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.

He said, “Come in, you blessed of the LORD. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.”

Da kam der Mann ins Haus und (band los =) schirrte ab die Kamele und man gab Häcksel und Futter für die Kamele und Wasser, um seine Füße zu waschen und die Füße der Männer, die mit ihm waren.

Entonces el hombre vino á casa, y Labán desató los camellos; y dióles paja y forraje, y agua para lavar los piés de él, y los piés de los hombres que con él venían.

And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men’s feet that were with him.

The man came into the house, and he unloaded the camels. He gave straw and feed for the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him.

Und es wurde ihm zu Essen vorgelegt, er aber sprach: Ich will (werde) nicht essen, bis ich mein Anliegen (meine Sache, Rede) vorgetragen (geredet) habe. Da sprach er: Rede!

Y pusiéronle delante qué comer; mas él dijo: No comeré hasta que haya dicho mi mensaje. Y él le dijo: Habla.

And there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.

Food was set before him to eat, but he said, “I will not eat until I have told my message.” Laban said, “Speak on.”

Da sagte er: Ein Knecht Abrahams †bin ich.

Entonces dijo: Yo soy criado de Abraham;

And he said, I am Abraham’s servant.

He said, “I am Abraham’s servant.

Und JHWH hat meinen Herrn sehr gesegnet, so dass er groß wurde (und er wurde groß). Und er gab ihm Kleinvieh und Rinder, {und} Silber und Gold, {und} Knechte (Diener, Sklaven) und Sklavinnen, {und} Kamele und Esel.

Y Jehová ha bendecido mucho á mi amo, y él se ha engrandecido: y le ha dado ovejas y vacas, plata y oro, siervos y siervas, camellos y asnos.

And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

The LORD has blessed my master greatly. He has become great. The LORD has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, and camels and donkeys.

Und Sara, die Frau meines Herrn, gebar meinem Herrn einen Sohn, nachdem sie alt geworden war, und er (gab =) übergab ihm alles, was ihm gehört.

Y Sara, mujer de mi amo, parió en su vejez un hijo á mi señor, quien le ha dado todo cuanto tiene.

And Sarah my master’s wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath.

Sarah, my master’s wife, bore a son to my master when she was old. He has given all that he has to him.

Und mein Herr ließ mich schwören {folgendermaßen}: Du sollst meinem Sohn keine Frau nehmen von den Töchtern des Kanaanäers, in dessen Land ich wohne.

Y mi amo me hizo jurar, diciendo: No tomarás mujer para mi hijo de las hijas de los Cananeos, en cuya tierra habito;

And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:

My master made me swear, saying, ‘You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live,

Sondern du sollst (wirst) zum Haus meines Vaters gehen und zu meiner Verwandtschaft und eine meinem Sohn eine Frau nehmen.

Sino que irás á la casa de mi padre, y á mi parentela, y tomarás mujer para mi hijo.

But thou shalt go unto my father’s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.

but you shall go to my father’s house, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son.’

Da sprach ich zu meinem Herrn: Vielleicht will (wird) die Frau nicht mitgehen?

Y yo dije: Quizás la mujer no querrá seguirme.

And I said unto my master, Peradventure the woman will not follow me.

I asked my master, ‘What if the woman will not follow me?’

Da sprach er zu mir: JHWH, vor dem ich wandelte, wird seinen Boten (Engel) mit dir senden, und er wird deinen Auftrag (Weg) gelingen lassen, so dass du meinem Sohn eine Frau nehmen kannst aus meiner Sippe und aus dem Haus meines Vaters.

Entonces él me respondió: Jehová, en cuya presencia he andado, enviará su ángel contigo, y prosperará tu camino; y tomarás mujer para mi hijo de mi linaje y de la casa de mi padre:

And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house:

He said to me, ‘The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you, and prosper your way. You shall take a wife for my son from my relatives, and of my father’s house.

Dann wirst du frei sein von meinem Eid, wenn du zu meiner Verwandtschaft kommen wirst, und wenn sie †sie dir nicht geben, dann bist du frei von meinem Eid.

Entonces serás libre de mi juramento, cuando hubieres llegado á mi linaje; y si no te la dieren, serás libre de mi juramento.

Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath.

Then you will be clear from my oath, when you come to my relatives. If they don’t give her to you, you shall be clear from my oath.’

So komme ich heute zum Brunnen und ich sage: JHWH, Gott meines Herrn Abraham, bitte lass meinen Plan (Weg) gelingen, den ich vor dir ausführe:

Llegué, pues, hoy á la fuente, y dije: Jehová, Dios de mi señor Abraham, si tú prosperas ahora mi camino por el cual ando;

And I came this day unto the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:

I came today to the spring, and said, ‘The LORD, the God of my master Abraham, if now you do prosper my way which I go—

Sieh, ich stelle mich an die Wasserquelle. Wenn nun die junge Frau herauskommen wird, um zu schöpfen, dann werde ich zu ihr sagen: lass mich bitte ein wenig Wasser trinken aus deinem Krug.

He aquí yo estoy junto á la fuente de agua; sea, pues, que la doncella que saliere por agua, á la cual dijere: Dame á beber, te ruego, un poco de agua de tu cántaro;

Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;

behold, I am standing by this spring of water. Let it happen, that the maiden who comes out to draw, to whom I will say, “Please give me a little water from your pitcher to drink,”

Wenn sie dann zu mir sagen wird: {Sowohl} du sollst trinken und {als auch} deinen Kamelen werde ich schöpfen: †dann ist sie die Frau, die JHWH dem Sohn meines Herrn bestimmt hat.

Y ella me respondiere, Bebe tú, y también para tus camellos sacaré agua: ésta sea la mujer que destinó Jehová para el hijo de mi señor.

And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD hath appointed out for my master’s son.

then she tells me, “Drink, and I will also draw for your camels,”—let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master’s son.’

Bevor ich vollende, zu (meinem Herzen =) mir selbst zu sprechen, sieh!, Rebekka kommt heraus, und ihr Krug †ist auf ihrer Schulter. Dann steigt sie in den Brunnen und schöpft, und ich sage zu ihr: Lass mich bitte trinken!

Y antes que acabase de hablar en mi corazón, he aquí Rebeca, que salía con su cántaro sobre su hombro; y descendió á la fuente, y sacó agua; y le dije: Ruégote que me des á beber.

And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.

Before I had finished speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came out with her pitcher on her shoulder. She went down to the spring, and drew. I said to her, ‘Please let me drink.’

Entonces preguntéle, y dije: ¿De quién eres hija? Y ella respondió: Hija de Bethuel, hijo de Nachôr, que le parió Milca. Entonces púsele un pendiente sobre su nariz, y brazaletes sobre sus manos:

And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.

I asked her, and said, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him.’ I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands.

Und ich werfe mich nieder und bete zu JHWH und ich preise JHWH, den Gott meines Herrn Abraham, der mich auf dem Weg der Treue geführt hat, um †zur Frau zu nehmen die Tochter des Bruders meines Herrn für seinen Sohn.

E inclinéme, y adoré á Jehová, y bendije á Jehová, Dios de mi señor Abraham, que me había guiado por camino de verdad para tomar la hija del hermano de mi señor para su hijo.

And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.

Als aber der Knecht Abrahams ihre Worte gehört hatte, da warf er sich für JHWH zur Erde nieder.

Da sprachen ihr Bruder und ihre Mutter: Das Mädchen wird bei uns bleiben †einige Tage oder zehn, danach (wird =) kann sie gehen.

Entonces respondió su hermano y su madre: Espere la moza con nosotros á lo menos diez días, y después irá.

And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.

Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Haltet mich nicht auf! JHWH hat meinen Weg gelingen lassen (Gelingen gegeben). Lasst mich gehen, dann werde ich zu meinem Herrn gehen.

Y él les dijo: No me detengáis, pues que Jehová ha prosperado mi camino; despachadme para que me vaya á mi señor.

And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.

He said to them, “Don’t hinder me, since the LORD has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master.”

Da sprachen sie: Wir wollen das Mädchen rufen und ihren Mund (= sie selbst) befragen.
