Und es (war =) währte Saras Leben 127 Jahre; †das waren die Lebensjahre Saras.

Y FUÉ la vida de Sara ciento veintisiete años: tantos fueron los años de la vida de Sara.

And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah.

Sarah lived one hundred twenty-seven years. This was the length of Sarah’s life.

Da starb Sara in Krijat-Arba, das ist Hebron im Land Kanaan. Da kam Abraham, um die Totenklage für Sara zu halten und um sie zu beweinen.

Y murió Sara en Kiriath-arba, que es Hebrón, en la tierra de Canaán: y vino Abraham á hacer el duelo á Sara, y á llorarla.

And Sarah died in Kirjath-arba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

Sarah died in Kiriath Arba (also called Hebron), in the land of Canaan. Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

Anschließend erhob sich Abraham von {vom Angesicht weg} seiner Toten und sprach zu den (Söhnen Chets =) Hetitern {folgendermaßen}:

Y levantóse Abraham de delante de su muerto, y habló á los hijos de Heth, diciendo:

And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying,

Ein Fremdling und Beisasse bin ich bei euch. Gebt mir einen Grabbesitz bei euch, damit ich meine Tote {von mir weg} begrabe.

Peregrino y advenedizo soy entre vosotros; dadme heredad de sepultura con vosotros, y sepultaré mi muerto de delante de mí.

I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

“I am a stranger and a foreigner living with you. Give me a possession of a burying-place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.”

Da antworteten die (Söhne Chets =) Hetiter Abraham {folgendermaßen} {ihm}:

Y respondieron los hijos de Heth á Abraham, y dijéronle:

And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,

The children of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him,

Höre (auf) uns, Herr; du †bist ein Fürst Gottes unter uns (in unserer Mitte): Im besten (vornehmsten) unserer Gräber begrabe deine Tote. (Jeder von uns wird sein Grab nicht vor dir zurückhalten =) Keiner von uns wird sein Grab vor dir zurückhalten, damit du deine Tote begraben kannst.

Oyenos, señor mío, eres un príncipe de Dios entre nosotros; en lo mejor de nuestras sepulturas sepulta á tu muerto; ninguno de nosotros te impedirá su sepultura, para que entierres tu muerto.

Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.

“Hear us, my lord. You are a prince of God among us. Bury your dead in the best of our tombs. None of us will withhold from you his tomb. Bury your dead.”

Daraufhin erhob Abraham sich und verneigte sich vor den Alteingesessenen (den Landbewohnern, der Landbevölkerung), den (Söhnen Chets =) Hetitern.

Y Abraham se levantó, é inclinóse al pueblo de aquella tierra, á los hijos de Heth;

And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.

Dann verhandelte (sprach) er mit ihnen {folgerndermaßen}: Wenn es in eurem Sinne ist, dass ich meine Verstorbene {von mir weg} begrabe, dann hört mich (an) und bittet für mich (legt für mich Fürsprache ein bei) Efron, dem Sohn Zohars:

Y habló con ellos, diciendo: Si tenéis voluntad que yo sepulte mi muerto de delante de mí, oidme, é interceded por mí con Ephrón, hijo de Zohar,

And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

He talked with them, saying, “If you agree that I should bury my dead out of my sight, hear me, and entreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

Er soll (möchte) mir geben die Höhle Machpela, die ihm gehört, die am Rand (in der Ecke) seines Feldes †liegt, für den vollen Kaufpreis (Betrag) soll (möchte) er sie mir geben, mitten unter euch (in eurer Mitte) zum Grabbesitz.

Para que me dé la cueva de Macpela, que tiene al cabo de su heredad: que por su justo precio me la dé, para posesión de sepultura en medio de vosotros.

That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.

that he may sell me the cave of Machpelah, which he has, which is in the end of his field. For the full price let him sell it to me among you as a possession for a burial place.”

Efron aber saß mitten unter den (inmitten der) (Söhne Chets =) Hetitern. Da antwortete Efron, der Hetiter, Abraham vor den Ohren der (Söhne Chets =) Hetiter, vor allen, die gekommen waren zum Tor seiner Stadt {folgendermaßen}:

Este Ephrón hallábase entre los hijos de Heth: y respondió Ephrón Hetheo á Abraham, en oídos de los hijos de Heth, de todos los que entraban por la puerta de su ciudad, diciendo:

And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,

Now Ephron was sitting in the middle of the children of Heth. Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the children of Heth, even of all who went in at the gate of his city, saying,

Nein, mein Herr, höre mich (an, höre mir zu): Das Feld schenke (gebe) ich dir, und die Höhle {die} darauf {ist}, schenke (gebe) ich dir; vor den Augen (der Söhne meines Volkes =) meiner Mitbürger (Volksgenossen) schenke (gebe) ich sie dir, um deine Verstorbene zu begraben.

No, señor mío, óyeme: te doy la heredad, y te doy también la cueva que está en ella; delante de los hijos de mi pueblo te la doy; sepulta tu muerto.

Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.

“No, my lord, hear me. I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the presence of the children of my people I give it to you. Bury your dead.”

Daraufhin verneigte sich Abraham vor den Alteingesessenen (den Landbewohnern, der Landbevölkerung).

Dann sprach er zu Efron vor den Ohren der Alteingesessenen (der Landbewohner, der Landbevölkerung) {folgendermaßen}: Ach, wenn du doch auf mich hören wolltest! Ich zahle (gebe) den Preis des Feldes; nimm ihn von mir †an, dann kann (werde) ich dort meine Tote begraben.

Y respondió á Ephrón en oídos del pueblo de la tierra, diciendo: Antes, si te place, ruégote que me oigas; yo daré el precio de la heredad, tómalo de mí, y sepultaré en ella mi muerto.

And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.

He spoke to Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, “But if you will, please hear me. I will give the price of the field. Take it from me, and I will bury my dead there.”

Daraufhin antwortete Efron Abraham {folgendermaßen} {ihm}:

Y respondió Ephrón á Abraham, diciéndole:

And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,

Mein Herr, höre mich (an), ein (Land von 400 Silberschekeln =) Land, das 400 Silberschekel wert ist, was ist das zwischen mir und dir? {Und} Begrabe deine Tote!

Señor mío, escúchame: la tierra vale cuatrocientos siclos de plata: ¿qué es esto entre mí y ti? entierra pues tu muerto.

My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.

“My lord, listen to me. What is a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver between me and you? Therefore bury your dead.”

Da hörte Abraham auf Efron, und Abraham bezahlte Efron das Geld, (von dem er gesprochen =) das er verlangt hatte vor den Ohren der (Söhne Chets =) Hetiter, 400 Silberschekel (, wie sie beim Kaufmann gangbar sind =) gangbare Münze.

Entonces Abraham se convino con Ephrón, y pesó Abraham á Ephrón el dinero que dijo, oyéndolo los hijos de Heth, cuatrocientos siclos de plata, de buena ley entre mercaderes.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.

Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants’ standard.

So fiel (ging in Besitz über) das Feld Efrons, das in (bei) Machpela †ist, das gegenüber von Mamre †liegt, das Feld und die Höhle, die darauf †ist, und alle Bäume, die auf dem Feld †wachsen, die auf seiner ganzen Grenze (seinem ganzen Gebiet) ringsum †stehen,

Y quedó la heredad de Ephrón que estaba en Macpela enfrente de Mamre, la heredad y la cueva que estaba en ella, y todos los árboles que había en la heredad, y en todo su término al derredor,

And the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure

an Abraham als Erwerb (Kauf) vor den Augen der (Söhne Chets =) Hetiter, allen die ins Tor seiner Stadt gekommen waren.

Por de Abraham en posesión, á vista de los hijos de Heth, y de todos los que entraban por la puerta de la ciudad.

Danach (hierauf) begrub Abraham Sara, seine Frau, in der Höhle †auf dem Acker Machpela, das vor Mamre †liegt, das ist Hebron, im Land Kanaan.

Y después de esto sepultó Abraham á Sara su mujer en la cueva de la heredad de Macpela enfrente de Mamre, que es Hebrón en la tierra de Canaán.

And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.

So fielen (gingen in Besitz über) das Feld und die Höhle auf ihm an Abraham, zum (als) Grabbesitz von den (Söhnen Chets =) Hetitern.

Y quedó la heredad y la cueva que en ella había, por de Abraham, en posesión de sepultura adquirida de los hijos de Heth.

And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.

The field, and the cave that is in it, were deeded to Abraham by the children of Heth as a possession for a burial place.
