Als Sara nun ihr Leben auf hundertundsiebenundzwanzig Jahre gebracht hatte,

Y FUÉ la vida de Sara ciento veintisiete años: tantos fueron los años de la vida de Sara.

And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah.

Sarah lived one hundred twenty-seven years. This was the length of Sarah’s life.

starb sie in Kirjath-Arba, das ist Hebron, im Lande Kanaan. Da ging Abraham hinein, um Sara zu beklagen und zu beweinen.

Y murió Sara en Kiriath-arba, que es Hebrón, en la tierra de Canaán: y vino Abraham á hacer el duelo á Sara, y á llorarla.

And Sarah died in Kirjath-arba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

Sarah died in Kiriath Arba (also called Hebron), in the land of Canaan. Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

Hierauf stand Abraham von der Seite seiner Verstorbenen auf und verhandelte mit den Hethitern so:

Y levantóse Abraham de delante de su muerto, y habló á los hijos de Heth, diciendo:

And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying,

Abraham rose up from before his dead and spoke to the children of Heth, saying,

»Ich bin (nur) ein Fremdling und Beisasse hier bei euch: überlaßt mir doch ein Erbbegräbnis bei euch, damit ich meine Tote, die in meinem Hause liegt, begraben kann!«

Peregrino y advenedizo soy entre vosotros; dadme heredad de sepultura con vosotros, y sepultaré mi muerto de delante de mí.

I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

“I am a stranger and a foreigner living with you. Give me a possession of a burying-place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.”

Die Hethiter gaben dem Abraham folgende Antwort:

Y respondieron los hijos de Heth á Abraham, y dijéronle:

And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,

The children of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him,

»Höre uns an, Herr! Du lebst hier als ein Gottesfürst unter uns: begrabe deine Tote in dem besten von unsern Gräbern: keiner von uns wird dir seine Grabstätte zur Bestattung deiner Toten versagen.«

Oyenos, señor mío, eres un príncipe de Dios entre nosotros; en lo mejor de nuestras sepulturas sepulta á tu muerto; ninguno de nosotros te impedirá su sepultura, para que entierres tu muerto.

Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.

“Hear us, my lord. You are a prince of God among us. Bury your dead in the best of our tombs. None of us will withhold from you his tomb. Bury your dead.”

Da erhob sich Abraham, verneigte sich tief vor den Bewohnern des Landes, den Hethitern,

Y Abraham se levantó, é inclinóse al pueblo de aquella tierra, á los hijos de Heth;

And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.

und sagte weiter zu ihnen: »Wenn ihr damit einverstanden seid, daß ich meine Tote, die in meinem Hause liegt, hier begrabe, so erweist mir die Liebe und legt ein gutes Wort für mich bei Ephron, dem Sohne Zohars, ein,

Y habló con ellos, diciendo: Si tenéis voluntad que yo sepulte mi muerto de delante de mí, oidme, é interceded por mí con Ephrón, hijo de Zohar,

And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

He talked with them, saying, “If you agree that I should bury my dead out of my sight, hear me, and entreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

daß er mir die Höhle in der Machpela überläßt, die ihm gehört und am Ende seines Feldes liegt; für den vollen Wert möge er sie mir zu einem Erbbegräbnis hier in eurer Mitte überlassen!«

Para que me dé la cueva de Macpela, que tiene al cabo de su heredad: que por su justo precio me la dé, para posesión de sepultura en medio de vosotros.

That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.

that he may sell me the cave of Machpelah, which he has, which is in the end of his field. For the full price let him sell it to me among you as a possession for a burial place.”

Nun saß Ephron mitten unter den Hethitern und gab dem Abraham vor den versammelten Hethitern im Beisein aller, die ins Tor seiner Stadt gekommen waren, folgende Antwort:

Este Ephrón hallábase entre los hijos de Heth: y respondió Ephrón Hetheo á Abraham, en oídos de los hijos de Heth, de todos los que entraban por la puerta de su ciudad, diciendo:

And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,

Now Ephron was sitting in the middle of the children of Heth. Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the children of Heth, even of all who went in at the gate of his city, saying,

»Nicht doch, Herr! Höre mich an! Das Feld schenke ich dir; auch die Höhle darauf schenke ich dir; im Beisein meiner Volksgenossen schenke ich sie dir: begrabe nur deine Tote!«

No, señor mío, óyeme: te doy la heredad, y te doy también la cueva que está en ella; delante de los hijos de mi pueblo te la doy; sepulta tu muerto.

Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.

“No, my lord, hear me. I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the presence of the children of my people I give it to you. Bury your dead.”

Da verneigte sich Abraham tief vor den Bewohnern des Landes

Y Abraham se inclinó delante del pueblo de la tierra.

And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.

und sagte dann zu Ephron, im Beisein aller Bewohner des Landes: »O doch! Wenn du mich nur anhören wolltest! Ich zahle dir den Preis für das Grundstück: nimm ihn von mir an, so will ich meine Tote dort begraben!«

Y respondió á Ephrón en oídos del pueblo de la tierra, diciendo: Antes, si te place, ruégote que me oigas; yo daré el precio de la heredad, tómalo de mí, y sepultaré en ella mi muerto.

And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.

He spoke to Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, “But if you will, please hear me. I will give the price of the field. Take it from me, and I will bury my dead there.”

Darauf antwortete Ephron dem Abraham:

Y respondió Ephrón á Abraham, diciéndole:

And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,

Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him,

»Höre mich doch an, Herr! Ein Stück Land im Wert von vierhundert Schekel Silber – was will das zwischen mir und dir besagen?! Begrabe nur deine Tote!«

Señor mío, escúchame: la tierra vale cuatrocientos siclos de plata: ¿qué es esto entre mí y ti? entierra pues tu muerto.

My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.

“My lord, listen to me. What is a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver between me and you? Therefore bury your dead.”

Abraham nahm die Forderung Ephrons an und wog ihm den Kaufpreis dar, den Betrag, welchen jener im Beisein der Hethiter gefordert hatte, nämlich vierhundert Schekel Silber, nach der beim Kauf und Verkauf üblichen Währung.

Entonces Abraham se convino con Ephrón, y pesó Abraham á Ephrón el dinero que dijo, oyéndolo los hijos de Heth, cuatrocientos siclos de plata, de buena ley entre mercaderes.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.

Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants’ standard.

So wurde das Grundstück Ephrons, das in der Machpela östlich von Mamre lag, das Feld samt der Höhle darauf nebst allen Bäumen, die auf dem Grundstück in seinem ganzen Umfang ringsum standen,

Y quedó la heredad de Ephrón que estaba en Macpela enfrente de Mamre, la heredad y la cueva que estaba en ella, y todos los árboles que había en la heredad, y en todo su término al derredor,

And the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure

So the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, the cave which was in it, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all of its borders, were deeded

dem Abraham rechtskräftig als Eigentum abgetreten im Beisein der Hethiter, so viele ihrer ins Tor seiner Stadt gekommen waren.

Por de Abraham en posesión, á vista de los hijos de Heth, y de todos los que entraban por la puerta de la ciudad.

Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city.

Hierauf begrub Abraham seine Frau Sara in der Höhle auf dem Grundstück in der Machpela östlich von Mamre, das ist Hebron, im Lande Kanaan.

Y después de esto sepultó Abraham á Sara su mujer en la cueva de la heredad de Macpela enfrente de Mamre, que es Hebrón en la tierra de Canaán.

And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.

So wurde das Grundstück samt der Höhle darauf dem Abraham als Erbbegräbnis von den Hethitern rechtskräftig überlassen.

Y quedó la heredad y la cueva que en ella había, por de Abraham, en posesión de sepultura adquirida de los hijos de Heth.

And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.

The field, and the cave that is in it, were deeded to Abraham by the children of Heth as a possession for a burial place.
