And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

Abraham se leva de bon matin, prit du pain et une outre pleine d'eau, les remit à Agar en les lui posant sur l'épaule, ainsi que l'enfant et la renvoya. Elle s'en alla et s'égara dans le désert de Beer Shava.
Entonces Abraham se levantó muy de mañana, y tomó pan, y un odre de agua, y diólo á Agar, poniéndolo sobre su hombro, y entrególe el muchacho, y despidióla. Y ella partió, y andaba errante por el desierto de Beer-seba.

Relève-toi! reprends cet enfant et soutiens-le de la main, car je ferai de lui une grande nation."
Levántate, alza al muchacho, y ásele de tu mano, porque en gran gente lo tengo de poner.

Le Seigneur lui dessilla les yeux et elle aperçu une source; elle y alla, emplit l’outre d’eau et donna à boire à l’enfant.

II arriva, dans le même temps, qu'Abimélec, accompagné de Pikol, chef de son armée, dit à Abraham: "Dieu est avec toi dans tout ce que tu entreprends.
Y aconteció en aquel mismo tiempo que habló Abimelech, y Phicol, príncipe de su ejército, á Abraham diciendo: Dios es contigo en todo cuanto haces:
And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:

Et maintenant, jure-moi par ce Dieu que tu ne seras infidèle ni à moi, ni à mes enfants, ni à ma postérité; que, comme j'ai bien agi à ton égard, ainsi tu agiras envers moi et envers le pays où tu es venu séjourner."
Ahora pues, júrame aquí por Dios, que no faltarás á mí, ni á mi hijo, ni á mi nieto; sino que conforme á la bondad que yo hice contigo, harás tú conmigo, y con la tierra donde has peregrinado.
Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son’s son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

Abraham répondit: "Je veux le jurer."
Y respondió Abraham: Yo juraré.

Or, Abraham avait fait des reproches à Abimélec, au sujet d'un puits dont les gens d'Abimélec s'étaient emparés.

Y respondió Abimelech: No sé quién haya hecho esto, ni tampoco tú me lo hiciste saber, ni yo lo he oído hasta hoy.
And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.
Abimelech said, “I don’t know who has done this thing. You didn’t tell me, and I didn’t hear of it until today.”

Abimelech said to Abraham, “What do these seven ewe lambs, which you have set by themselves, mean?”
Il répondit: "C'est que tu dois recevoir de ma main sept brebis, comme témoignage que j'ai creusé ce puit."
Y él respondió: Que estas siete corderas tomarás de mi mano, para que me sean en testimonio de que yo cavé este pozo.
And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.
He said, “You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand, that it may be a witness to me, that I have dug this well.”
Aussi appela-t-on cet endroit Beer Shava, car là ils jurèrent l'un et l'autre.
Por esto llamó á aquel lugar Beer-seba; porque allí juraron ambos.
