Der HERR suchte dann Sara gnädig heim, wie er verheißen hatte, und tat an ihr, wie er zugesagt hatte:

Sara wurde guter Hoffnung und gebar dem Abraham in seinem Greisenalter einen Sohn zu der Zeit, die Gott ihm im voraus angegeben hatte.

For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Abraham gab dann seinem Sohne, der ihm geboren worden war, den Sara ihm geboren hatte, den Namen Isaak

Y llamó Abraham el nombre de su hijo que le nació, que le parió Sara, Isaac.

And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

und beschnitt seinen Sohn, als er acht Tage alt war, wie Gott ihm geboten hatte.

Da sagte Sara: »Ein Lachen hat mir Gott bereitet: jeder, der von der Sache hört, wird über mich lachen.«

Entonces dijo Sara: Dios me ha hecho reir, y cualquiera que lo oyere, se reirá conmigo.

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

Sarah said, “God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears will laugh with me.”

Weiter sagte sie: »Wer hätte wohl je dem Abraham gesagt, daß Sara noch Kinder an der Brust nähren würde? Und nun habe ich ihm doch noch einen Sohn in seinem Greisenalter geboren!«

Y añadió: ¿Quién dijera á Abraham que Sara había de dar de mamar á hijos? pues que le he parido un hijo á su vejez.

And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

She said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”

Und der Knabe wuchs heran und wurde entwöhnt; da veranstaltete Abraham am Tage der Entwöhnung Isaaks ein großes Festmahl.

Als nun Sara den Sohn der Ägypterin Hagar, den diese dem Abraham geboren hatte, mit ihrem Sohne Isaak spielen sah,

sagte sie zu Abraham: »Verstoße die Magd da und ihren Sohn! Denn der Sohn dieser Magd soll nicht mit meinem Sohn, mit Isaak, erben!«

Por tanto dijo á Abraham: Echa á esta sierva y á su hijo; que el hijo de esta sierva no ha de heredar con mi hijo, con Isaac.

Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Therefore she said to Abraham, “Cast out this servant and her son! For the son of this servant will not be heir with my son, Isaac.”

Dieses Wort betrübte Abraham sehr mit Rücksicht auf seinen Sohn;

Este dicho pareció grave en gran manera á Abraham á causa de su hijo.

And the thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight because of his son.

aber Gott sagte zu Abraham: »Laß es dir um den Knaben und um deine Magd nicht leid sein: gehorche der Sara in allem, was sie von dir verlangt; denn nur nach Isaak soll dir Nachkommenschaft genannt werden.

Entonces dijo Dios á Abraham: No te parezca grave á causa del muchacho y de tu sierva; en todo lo que te dijere Sara, oye su voz, porque en Isaac te será llamada descendencia.

And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

God said to Abraham, “Don’t let it be grievous in your sight because of the boy, and because of your servant. In all that Sarah says to you, listen to her voice. For your offspring will be named through Isaac.

Doch auch den Sohn der Magd will ich zu einem Volke werden lassen, weil er dein Sohn ist.«

Y también al hijo de la sierva pondré en gente, porque es tu simiente.

And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

I will also make a nation of the son of the servant, because he is your child.”

So stand denn Abraham am andern Morgen früh auf, nahm Brot und einen Schlauch mit Wasser und gab dies der Hagar; den Knaben aber setzte er ihr auf die Schulter und entließ so beide. Da ging sie weg und irrte in der Wüste von Beerseba umher.

Entonces Abraham se levantó muy de mañana, y tomó pan, y un odre de agua, y diólo á Agar, poniéndolo sobre su hombro, y entrególe el muchacho, y despidióla. Y ella partió, y andaba errante por el desierto de Beer-seba.

And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.

Als dann das Wasser im Schlauch zu Ende gegangen war, warf sie den Knaben unter einen der Sträucher,

Da hörte Gott das Schreien des Knaben, und der Engel Gottes rief der Hagar vom Himmel her die Worte zu: »Was ist dir, Hagar? Fürchte dich nicht! Denn Gott hat das Schreien des Knaben gehört, ebendort wo er liegt.

Y oyó Dios la voz del muchacho; y el ángel de Dios llamó á Agar desde el cielo, y le dijo: ¿Qué tienes, Agar? No temas; porque Dios ha oído la voz del muchacho en donde está.

And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

God heard the voice of the boy. The angel of God called to Hagar out of the sky, and said to her, “What troubles you, Hagar? Don’t be afraid. For God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.

Stehe auf, nimm den Knaben und halte ihn fest an der Hand, denn ich will ihn zu einem großen Volke werden lassen.«

Levántate, alza al muchacho, y ásele de tu mano, porque en gran gente lo tengo de poner.

Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

Get up, lift up the boy, and hold him with your hand. For I will make him a great nation.”

Dann tat Gott ihr die Augen auf, so daß sie eine Quelle mit Wasser erblickte; da ging sie hin, füllte den Schlauch mit Wasser und gab dem Knaben zu trinken.

Entonces abrió Dios sus ojos, y vió una fuente de agua; y fué, y llenó el odre de agua, y dió de beber al muchacho.

And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

Und Gott war mit dem Knaben, so daß er heranwuchs; er nahm seinen Aufenthalt in der Wüste und wurde ein gewaltiger Bogenschütze;

Y fué Dios con el muchacho; y creció, y habitó en el desierto, y fué tirador de arco.

And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

und zwar nahm er seinen Aufenthalt in der Wüste Paran, und seine Mutter nahm ihm eine Ägypterin zur Frau.

Y habitó en el desierto de Parán; y su madre le tomó mujer de la tierra de Egipto.

And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

Zu derselben Zeit hatte Abimelech nebst seinem Heerführer Pichol eine Unterredung mit Abraham und sagte: »Gott ist mit dir in allem, was du unternimmst.

Y aconteció en aquel mismo tiempo que habló Abimelech, y Phicol, príncipe de su ejército, á Abraham diciendo: Dios es contigo en todo cuanto haces:

And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:

At that time, Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham, saying, “God is with you in all that you do.

Darum schwöre mir jetzt hier bei Gott, daß du weder gegen mich noch gegen meine Kinder und Kindeskinder jemals treulos handeln, sondern dieselbe Freundschaft, die ich dir erwiesen habe, auch mir und dem Lande erweisen willst, in welchem du als Fremdling dich aufhältst!«

Ahora pues, júrame aquí por Dios, que no faltarás á mí, ni á mi hijo, ni á mi nieto; sino que conforme á la bondad que yo hice contigo, harás tú conmigo, y con la tierra donde has peregrinado.

Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son’s son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

Now, therefore, swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son’s son. But according to the kindness that I have done to you, you shall do to me, and to the land in which you have lived as a foreigner.”

Da antwortete Abraham: »Ja, ich will den Schwur leisten.«

Y respondió Abraham: Yo juraré.

And Abraham said, I will swear.

Abraham said, “I will swear.”

Abraham machte aber dem Abimelech Vorhalt wegen des Wasserbrunnens, den die Knechte Abimelechs sich mit Gewalt angeeignet hatten.

Y Abraham reconvino á Abimelech á causa de un pozo de agua, que los siervos de Abimelech le habían quitado.

And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech’s servants had violently taken away.

Abraham complained to Abimelech because of a water well, which Abimelech’s servants had violently taken away.

Abimelech erwiderte: »Ich weiß nicht, wer das getan hat: weder hast du mir bisher etwas davon mitgeteilt, noch habe ich bis heute etwas davon gehört.«

Y respondió Abimelech: No sé quién haya hecho esto, ni tampoco tú me lo hiciste saber, ni yo lo he oído hasta hoy.

And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

Abimelech said, “I don’t know who has done this thing. You didn’t tell me, and I didn’t hear of it until today.”

Hierauf nahm Abraham Kleinvieh und Rinder und gab sie dem Abimelech, und sie schlossen beide einen Vertrag miteinander.

Y tomó Abraham ovejas y vacas, y dió á Abimelech; é hicieron ambos alianza.

And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

Als nun Abraham noch sieben Schaflämmer abgesondert stellte,

fragte Abimelech den Abraham: »Was sollen die sieben Lämmer hier bedeuten, die du besonders gestellt hast?«

Y dijo Abimelech á Abraham: ¿Qué significan esas siete corderas que has puesto aparte?

And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?

Abimelech said to Abraham, “What do these seven ewe lambs, which you have set by themselves, mean?”

Er antwortete: »Die sieben Lämmer mußt du von mir annehmen, damit dies mir zum Zeugnis diene, daß ich diesen Brunnen gegraben habe.«

Y él respondió: Que estas siete corderas tomarás de mi mano, para que me sean en testimonio de que yo cavé este pozo.

And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.

He said, “You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand, that it may be a witness to me, that I have dug this well.”

Darum nennt man jenen Ort »Beerseba«, weil sie beide dort einander geschworen haben.

Por esto llamó á aquel lugar Beer-seba; porque allí juraron ambos.

Wherefore he called that place Beer-sheba; because there they sware both of them.

Nachdem sie so einen Vertrag zu Beerseba geschlossen hatten, brach Abimelech mit seinem Heerführer Pichol auf, und sie kehrten ins Philisterland zurück.

Así hicieron alianza en Beer-seba: y levantóse Abimelech, y Phicol, príncipe de su ejército, y se volvieron á tierra de los Filisteos.

Thus they made a covenant at Beer-sheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

So they made a covenant at Beersheba. Abimelech rose up with Phicol, the captain of his army, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

(Abraham) aber pflanzte eine Tamariske in Beerseba und rief dort den Namen des HERRN, des ewigen Gottes, an.

Y plantó Abraham un bosque en Beer-seba, é invocó allí el nombre de Jehová Dios eterno.

And Abraham planted a grove in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.

Abraham hielt sich dann noch geraume Zeit als Fremdling im Philisterlande auf.
