And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.
She said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”

Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Entonces dijo Dios á Abraham: No te parezca grave á causa del muchacho y de tu sierva; en todo lo que te dijere Sara, oye su voz, porque en Isaac te será llamada descendencia.
And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
God said to Abraham, “Don’t let it be grievous in your sight because of the boy, and because of your servant. In all that Sarah says to you, listen to her voice. For your offspring will be named through Isaac.

Da stund Abraham des Morgens frühe auf und nahm Brot und eine Flasche mit Wasser und legte es Hagar auf ihre Schulter, und den Knaben mit, und ließ sie aus. Da zog sie hin und ging in der Wüste irre bei Bersaba.
Entonces Abraham se levantó muy de mañana, y tomó pan, y un odre de agua, y diólo á Agar, poniéndolo sobre su hombro, y entrególe el muchacho, y despidióla. Y ella partió, y andaba errante por el desierto de Beer-seba.

Da erhörete Gott die Stimme des Knaben. Und der Engel Gottes rief vom Himmel der Hagar und sprach zu ihr: Was ist dir, Hagar? Fürchte dich nicht; denn Gott hat erhöret die Stimme des Knaben, da er liegt.
Y oyó Dios la voz del muchacho; y el ángel de Dios llamó á Agar desde el cielo, y le dijo: ¿Qué tienes, Agar? No temas; porque Dios ha oído la voz del muchacho en donde está.
And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Stehe auf, nimm den Knaben und führe ihn an deiner Hand; denn ich will ihn zum großen Volk machen.

Und Gott tat ihr die Augen auf, daß sie einen Wasserbrunnen sah. Da ging sie hin und füllete die Flasche mit Wasser und tränkte den Knaben.

Zu derselbigen Zeit redete Abimelech und Phichol, sein Feldhauptmann, mit Abraham und sprach: Gott ist mit dir in allem, das du tust.
Y aconteció en aquel mismo tiempo que habló Abimelech, y Phicol, príncipe de su ejército, á Abraham diciendo: Dios es contigo en todo cuanto haces:
And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:
At that time, Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham, saying, “God is with you in all that you do.
So schwöre mir nun bei Gott, daß du mir, noch meinen Kindern, noch meinen Neffen keine Untreue erzeigen wollest, sondern die Barmherzigkeit, die ich an dir getan habe, an mir auch tust und an dem Lande, da du ein Fremdling innen bist.
Ahora pues, júrame aquí por Dios, que no faltarás á mí, ni á mi hijo, ni á mi nieto; sino que conforme á la bondad que yo hice contigo, harás tú conmigo, y con la tierra donde has peregrinado.
Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son’s son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

Da sprach Abraham: Ich will schwören.

And Abraham said, I will swear.
Abraham said, “I will swear.”
Und Abraham strafte Abimelech um des Wasserbrunnens willen, den Abimelechs Knechte hatten mit Gewalt genommen.
Y Abraham reconvino á Abimelech á causa de un pozo de agua, que los siervos de Abimelech le habían quitado.
And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech’s servants had violently taken away.

Da antwortete Abimelech: Ich hab's nicht gewußt, wer das getan hat; auch hast du mir's nicht angesagt; dazu habe ich's nicht gehöret denn heute.
Y respondió Abimelech: No sé quién haya hecho esto, ni tampoco tú me lo hiciste saber, ni yo lo he oído hasta hoy.
And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.
Abimelech said, “I don’t know who has done this thing. You didn’t tell me, and I didn’t hear of it until today.”
Da nahm Abraham Schafe und Rinder und gab sie Abimelech; und machten beide einen Bund miteinander.

And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

Da sprach Abimelech zu Abraham: Was sollen die sieben Lämmer, die du besonders dargestellt hast?
Y dijo Abimelech á Abraham: ¿Qué significan esas siete corderas que has puesto aparte?
And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?
Abimelech said to Abraham, “What do these seven ewe lambs, which you have set by themselves, mean?”
Er antwortete: Sieben Lämmer sollst du von meiner Hand nehmen, daß sie mir zum Zeugnis seien, daß ich diesen Brunnen gegraben habe.
Y él respondió: Que estas siete corderas tomarás de mi mano, para que me sean en testimonio de que yo cavé este pozo.
And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.
He said, “You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand, that it may be a witness to me, that I have dug this well.”
Daher heißt die Stätte Bersaba, daß sie beide miteinander da geschworen haben.
Por esto llamó á aquel lugar Beer-seba; porque allí juraron ambos.

Abraham aber pflanzete Bäume zu Bersaba und predigte daselbst von dem Namen des HERRN, des ewigen Gottes.
