And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

Y Abraham decía con respecto a Sara, su esposa: Es mi hermana. Así que Abimelec, rey de Gerar, envió y tomó a Sara.
Y dijo Abraham de Sara su mujer: Mi hermana es. Y Abimelech, rey de Gerar, envió y tomó á Sara.
And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

Pero ʼElohim vino a Abimelec en un sueño aquella noche y le dijo: Mira, eres hombre muerto a causa de la mujer que tomaste, pues ella está casada y tiene esposo.
Empero Dios vino á Abimelech en sueños de noche, y le dijo: He aquí muerto eres á causa de la mujer que has tomado, la cual es casada con marido.
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife.

But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?

Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
Didn’t he tell me, ‘She is my sister’? She, even she herself, said, ‘He is my brother.’ I have done this in the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands.”
ʼElohim le dijo en el sueño: También Yo sé que con integridad de tu corazón hiciste esto, y Yo también te retuve de pecar contra Mí. Por eso no te permití tocarla.
Y díjole Dios en sueños: Yo también sé que con integridad de tu corazón has hecho esto; y yo también te detuve de pecar contra mí, y así no te permití que la tocases.
And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also withheld you from sinning against me. Therefore I didn’t allow you to touch her.

Ahora, pues, vuelve la mujer á su marido; porque es profeta, y orará por ti, y vivirás. Y si tú no la volvieres, sabe que de cierto morirás, con todo lo que fuere tuyo.
Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
Now therefore, restore the man’s wife. For he is a prophet, and he will pray for you, and you will live. If you don’t restore her, know for sure that you will die, you, and all who are yours.”
Entonces Abimelec se levantó temprano por la mañana. Llamó a todos sus esclavos y les habló todas estas cosas en privado, y aquellos hombres sintieron un gran temor.

Después llamó Abimelech á Abraham, y le dijo: ¿Qué nos has hecho? ¿y en qué pequé yo contra ti, que has atraído sobre mí y sobre mi reino tan gran pecado? lo que no debiste hacer has hecho conmigo.
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done!”
Además Abimelec preguntó a Abraham: ¿Qué encontraste que te persuadió a hacer esto?
Y dijo más Abimelech á Abraham: ¿Qué viste para que hicieses esto?
And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you see, that you have done this thing?”
Abraham respondió: Porque me dije: Ciertamente no hay temor a ʼElohim en este lugar, y me matarán por causa de mi esposa.
Y Abraham respondió: Porque dije para mí: Cierto no hay temor de Dios en este lugar, y me matarán por causa de mi mujer.
And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.
Abraham said, “Because I thought, ‘Surely the fear of God is not in this place. They will kill me for my wife’s sake.’
Aunque, en efecto, ella es mi hermana, hija de mi padre, pero no hija de mi madre. Así llegó a ser mi esposa.

Sucedió que cuando ʼElohim me hizo salir errante de casa de mi padre, yo le dije a ella: Tú me harás este favor. A todo lugar a donde lleguemos, dirás de mí: Él es mi hermano.
Y fué que, cuando Dios me hizo salir errante de la casa de mi padre, yo le dije: Esta es la merced que tú me harás, que en todos los lugares donde llegáremos, digas de mí: Mi hermano es.
And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

Entonces Abimelec tomó un rebaño y una manada de ganado vacuno, esclavos y esclavas, se los dio a Abraham y le devolvió a su esposa Sara.

Y dijo a Sara: Mira, doy a tu hermano 1.000 piezas de plata. Ciertamente, esto será para ti como un velo ante los ojos de todos los que están contigo. Así quedas vindicada ante todos.
Y á Sara dijo: He aquí he dado mil monedas de plata á tu hermano; mira que él te es por velo de ojos para todos los que están contigo, y para con todos: así fué reprendida.
And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.
To Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all that are with you. In front of all you are vindicated.”
Abraham oró a ʼElohim, y ʼElohim sanó a Abimelec, a su esposa y a sus esclavas, las cuales tuvieron hijos,
Entonces Abraham oró á Dios; y Dios sanó á Abimelech y á su mujer, y á sus siervas, y parieron.
So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.

pues Yavé había cerrado por completo toda matriz de la casa de Abimelec por causa de Sara, esposa de Abraham.
Porque había del todo cerrado Jehová toda matriz de la casa de Abimelech, á causa de Sara mujer de Abraham.
For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.
For the LORD had closed up tight all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.
