Et Dieu lui apparut près du chêne de Membré, tandis qu'il était assis sur la porte de sa tente à midi.

Y APARECIÓLE Jehová en el valle de Mamre, estando él sentado á la puerta de su tienda en el calor del día.

And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

The LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day.

Comme il levait les yeux, il aperçut trois hommes placés au-dessus de lui ; et les ayant vus, il courut de la porte de sa tente à leur rencontre, et il se prosterna jusqu'à terre,

Y alzó sus ojos y miró, y he aquí tres varones que estaban junto á él: y cuando los vió, salió corriendo de la puerta de su tienda á recibirlos, é inclinóse hacia la tierra,

And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

En disant : Seigneur, si j'ai trouvé grâce devant vous, ne passez point outre devant votre serviteur.

Y dijo: Señor, si ahora he hallado gracia en tus ojos, ruégote que no pases de tu siervo.

And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

and said, “My lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, please don’t go away from your servant.

Que l'on prépare l'eau, que mes serviteurs vous lavent les pieds et rafraîchissez-vous sous le chêne.

Que se traiga ahora un poco de agua, y lavad vuestros pies; y recostaos debajo de un árbol,

Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

Pour moi, j'apporterai du pain, et vous mangerez ; puis, vous poursuivrez votre voyage : c'est pour cela que vous êtes venus vers votre serviteur. Le Seigneur dit : Qu'il soit fait comme tu le demandes.

Y traeré un bocado de pan, y sustentad vuestro corazón; después pasaréis: porque por eso habéis pasado cerca de vuestro siervo. Y ellos dijeron: Haz así como has dicho.

And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

I will get a piece of bread so you can refresh your heart. After that you may go your way, now that you have come to your servant.” They said, “Very well, do as you have said.”

Abraham se hâta donc d'entrer sous sa tente vers Sarra, et il lui dit : Dépêche-toi, pétris trois mesures de fleur de farine, et fais-nous cuire des pains sous la cendre.

Entonces Abraham fué de priesa á la tienda á Sara, y le dijo: Toma presto tres medidas de flor de harina, amasa y haz panes cocidos debajo del rescoldo.

And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah, and said, “Quickly prepare three seahs of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes.”

Puis, Abraham courut aux bœufs, et prit un beau petit veau bien tendre, qu'il donna au serviteur, en le pressant de l'apprêter.

Y corrió Abraham á las vacas, y tomó un becerro tierno y bueno, y diólo al mozo, y dióse éste priesa á aderezarlo.

And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

Abraham ran to the herd, and fetched a tender and good calf, and gave it to the servant. He hurried to dress it.

De son côté, il prit du beurre et du lait, ainsi que le veau qu'il avait fait préparer, et il plaça le tout devant ses hôtes qui mangèrent. Lui-même cependant se tenait devant eux sous le chêne.

Tomó también manteca y leche, y el becerro que había aderezado, y púsolo delante de ellos; y él estaba junto á ellos debajo del árbol; y comieron.

And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

Le Seigneur lui dit : Où est Sarra ta femme ? Il répondit : La voici sous la tente.

Y le dijeron: ¿Dónde está Sara tu mujer? Y él respondió: Aquí en la tienda.

And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

They asked him, “Where is Sarah, your wife?” He said, “There, in the tent.”

Je reviendrai, dit le Seigneur, vers toi à pareille époque, et Sarra ta femme aura un fils. Or, Sarra entendit derrière la porte de la tente où elle était.

Entonces dijo: De cierto volveré á ti según el tiempo de la vida, y he aquí, tendrá un hijo Sara tu mujer. Y Sara escuchaba á la puerta de la tienda, que estaba detrás de él.

And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

He said, “I will certainly return to you at about this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.” Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.

Or, Abraham et Sarra étaient vieux, ayant vécu bien des jours ; Sarra avait même cessé d'avoir ce qui arrive aux femmes.

Y Abraham y Sara eran viejos, entrados en días: á Sara había cesado ya la costumbre de las mujeres.

Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age. Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.

Sarra rit donc en elle-même, disant : Cela ne m'est point encore arrivé jusqu'ici, et mon seigneur est un vieillard.

Rióse, pues, Sara entre sí, diciendo: ¿Después que he envejecido tendré deleite, siendo también mi señor ya viejo?

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I have grown old will I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”

Mais le Seigneur dit à Abraham : Pourquoi Sarra a-t-elle ri en elle-même, disant : Enfanterai-je véritablement, moi qui suis devenue vieille ?

Entonces Jehová dijo á Abraham: ¿Por qué se ha reído Sara diciendo: Será cierto que he de parir siendo ya vieja?

And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

The LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Will I really bear a child when I am old?’

Est-ce que rien est impossible à Dieu ? Je reviendrai près de toi à pareille époque, et Sarra aura un fils.

¿Hay para Dios alguna cosa difícil? Al tiempo señalado volveré á ti, según el tiempo de la vida, y Sara tendrá un hijo.

Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the set time I will return to you, when the season comes around, and Sarah will have a son.”

Alors Sarra nia, disant : Je n'ai point ri, car elle eut peur ; et le Seigneur lui dit : Non, mais tu as ri.

Entonces Sara negó diciendo: No me reí; porque tuvo miedo. Y él dijo: No es así, sino que te has reído.

Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

Then Sarah denied it, saying, “I didn’t laugh,” for she was afraid. He said, “No, but you did laugh.”

Et, s'étant levés de ce lieu, les trois hommes regardèrent du côté de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, et Abraham partit avec eux pour les reconduire.

Y los varones se levantaron de allí, y miraron hacia Sodoma: y Abraham iba con ellos acompañándolos.

And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

The men rose up from there, and looked toward Sodom. Abraham went with them to see them on their way.

Bientôt le Seigneur dit : Ne dévoilerai-je point les choses que je fais à Abraham, mon serviteur,

Y Jehová dijo: ¿Encubriré yo á Abraham lo que voy á hacer,

And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

The LORD said, “Will I hide from Abraham what I do,

A lui qui doit devenir père d'une nation grande et nombreuse, et en qui seront bénies toutes les nations de la terre ?

Habiendo de ser Abraham en una nación grande y fuerte, y habiendo de ser benditas en él todas las gentes de la tierra?

Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed in him?

Car je sais qu'il donnera ses ordres à ses fils et à sa maison après lui ; et ils garderont les voies du Seigneur en pratiquant l'équité et la justice, afin que le Seigneur accomplisse, en faveur d'Abraham, toutes les choses qu'il lui a dites.

Porque yo lo he conocido, sé que mandará á sus hijos y á su casa después de sí, que guarden el camino de Jehová, haciendo justicia y juicio, para que haga venir Jehová sobre Abraham lo que ha hablado acerca de él.

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that the LORD may bring on Abraham that which he has spoken of him.”

Le Seigneur ajouta : Le cri de Sodome et de Gomorrhe s'est élevé jusqu'à moi, et leurs péchés sont énormes.

Entonces Jehová le dijo: Por cuanto el clamor de Sodoma y Gomorra se aumenta más y más, y el pecado de ellos se ha agravado en extremo,

And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

The LORD said, “Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous,

Étant donc descendu, je verrai si leurs actions répondent à ce cri qui m'est parvenu ; et si non, je le saurai...

Descenderé ahora, y veré si han consumado su obra según el clamor que ha venido hasta mí; y si no, saberlo he.

I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

I will go down now, and see whether their deeds are as bad as the reports which have come to me. If not, I will know.”

S'étant alors éloignés, les hommes s'en allèrent à Sodome, et Abraham resta devant le Seigneur.

Y apartáronse de allí los varones, y fueron hacia Sodoma: mas Abraham estaba aún delante de Jehová.

And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

The men turned from there, and went toward Sodom, but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

Abraham s'approcha et dit : Perdrez-vous le juste avec les impies, et le juste sera-t-il comme l'impie ?

Y acercóse Abraham y dijo: ¿Destruirás también al justo con el impío?

And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

Abraham came near, and said, “Will you consume the righteous with the wicked?

S'il y a cinquante justes dans la ville, les perdrez-vous ? Ne ferez-vous point grâce à toute la contrée, à cause des cinquante justes, s'ils sont dans la ville ?

Quizá hay cincuenta justos dentro de la ciudad: ¿destruirás también y no perdonarás al lugar por cincuenta justos que estén dentro de él?

Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

What if there are fifty righteous within the city? Will you consume and not spare the place for the fifty righteous who are in it?

Non, vous ne ferez point cette action de tuer le juste avec les impies, car le juste serait comme l'impie ; il n'en sera point ainsi ; vous qui jugez toute la terre, vous ne rendriez point justice !

Lejos de ti el hacer tal, que hagas morir al justo con el impío, y que sea el justo tratado como el impío; nunca tal hagas. El juez de toda la tierra, ¿no ha de hacer lo que es justo?

That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

May it be far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn’t the Judge of all the earth do right?”

Le Seigneur repartit : S'il y a cinquante justes en la ville de Sodome, j'épargnerai, à cause d'eux, toute la ville et la contrée entière.

Entonces respondió Jehová: Si hallare en Sodoma cincuenta justos dentro de la ciudad, perdonaré á todo este lugar por amor de ellos.

And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

The LORD said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare the whole place for their sake.”

Et Abraham répondant : Maintenant, dit-il, j'ai commencé à parler à mon Seigneur, moi, terre et poussière !

Y Abraham replicó y dijo: He aquí ahora que he comenzado á hablar á mi Señor, aunque soy polvo y ceniza:

And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:

Abraham answered, “See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, although I am dust and ashes.

Si les cinquante justes se réduisent à quarante-cinq, détruirez-vous toute la ville à cause des cinq ? Le Seigneur dit : S'il s'y trouve quarante- cinq justes, je ne la détruirai pas.

Quizá faltarán de cincuenta justos cinco: ¿destruirás por aquellos cinco toda la ciudad? Y dijo: No la destruiré, si hallare allí cuarenta y cinco.

Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

What if there will lack five of the fifty righteous? Will you destroy all the city for lack of five?” He said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.”

Et Abraham, continuant de parler au Seigneur, dit : S'il s'en trouve quarante ? Le Seigneur reprit : En faveur des quarante, je ne la détruirai pas.

Y volvió á hablarle, y dijo: Quizá se hallarán allí cuarenta. Y respondió: No lo haré por amor de los cuarenta.

And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty’s sake.

He spoke to him yet again, and said, “What if there are forty found there?” He said, “I will not do it for the forty’s sake.”

Abraham dit ensuite : Qu'en sera-t-il, Seigneur, si je parle encore ? S'il s'en trouve trente ? Le Seigneur dit : En faveur des trente, je ne la détruirai pas.

Y dijo: No se enoje ahora mi Señor, si hablare: quizá se hallarán allí treinta. Y respondió: No lo haré si hallare allí treinta.

And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

He said, “Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak. What if there are thirty found there?” He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.”

Abraham ajouta : Puisqu'il m'est donné de parler au Seigneur, s'il s'en trouve vingt ? Et le Seigneur répondit : Si j'en trouve vingt, je ne la détruirai pas.

Y dijo: He aquí ahora que he emprendido el hablar á mi Señor: quizá se hallarán allí veinte. No la destruiré, respondió, por amor de los veinte.

And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty’s sake.

He said, “See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord. What if there are twenty found there?” He said, “I will not destroy it for the twenty’s sake.”

Et Abraham dit : Seigneur, parlerai-je encore une seule fois ? S'il s'en trouve dix ? Et le Seigneur dit : En faveur des dix, je ne la détruirai pas.

Y volvió á decir: No se enoje ahora mi Señor, si hablare solamente una vez: quizá se hallarán allí diez. No la destruiré, respondió, por amor de los diez.

And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.

He said, “Oh don’t let the Lord be angry, and I will speak just once more. What if ten are found there?” He said, “I will not destroy it for the ten’s sake.”

Lorsqu'il eut cessé de parler à Abraham, le Seigneur partit, et celui-ci retourna au lieu qu'il habitait.

Y fuése Jehová, luego que acabó de hablar á Abraham: y Abraham se volvió á su lugar.

And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

The LORD went his way as soon as he had finished communing with Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.
