Génesis 18

Und er fuhr fort, weiter zu ihm zu reden, und sprach: Vielleicht mögen vierzig daselbst gefunden werden. Und er sprach: Ich will es nicht tun um der vierzig willen.

Y volvió á hablarle, y dijo: Quizá se hallarán allí cuarenta. Y respondió: No lo haré por amor de los cuarenta.

And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty’s sake.

He spoke to him yet again, and said, “What if there are forty found there?” He said, “I will not do it for the forty’s sake.”
