And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

so will ich einen Bund stiften zwischen mir und dir und will dir überaus zahlreiche Nachkommen verleihen.
Y pondré mi pacto entre mí y ti, y multiplicarte he mucho en gran manera.
And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”
Da warf sich Abram nieder auf sein Angesicht und Gott redete mit ihm also:

Ich bin's, der ich den Bund mit dir habe, daß du Stammvater eines Haufens von Völkern werden sollst.
Yo, he aquí mi pacto contigo: Serás padre de muchedumbre de gentes:
As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
“As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations.
Darum sollst du fortan nicht mehr Abram heißen, sondern Abraham soll dein Name sein. Denn zum Stammvater eines Haufens von Völkern mache ich dich.
Y no se llamará más tu nombre Abram, sino que será tu nombre Abraham, porque te he puesto por padre de muchedumbre de gentes.
Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
Your name will no more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.
Und ich will machen, daß deine Nachkommen überaus zahlreich werden und zu ganzen Völkern anwachsen und sogar Könige sollen von dir abstammen.
Y multiplicarte he mucho en gran manera, y te pondré en gentes, y reyes saldrán de ti.
And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you. Kings will come out of you.
Und ich will meinen Bund aufrichten zwischen mir und dir und deinen Nachkommen nach dir, nach ihren Geschlechtern, als einen ewigen Bund, daß ich dir Gott sein will und deinen Nachkommen nach dir.
Y estableceré mi pacto entre mí y ti, y tu simiente después de ti en sus generaciones, por alianza perpetua, para serte á ti por Dios, y á tu simiente después de ti.
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.
Und ich will dir und deinen Nachkommen nach dir das Land verleihen, in welchem du jetzt als Fremdling weilst, das ganze Land Kanaan, zum Eigentum für immer, und will ihr Gott sein.
Y te daré á ti, y á tu simiente después de ti, la tierra de tus peregrinaciones, toda la tierra de Canaán en heredad perpetua; y seré el Dios de ellos.
And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

Und Gott sprach zu Abraham. Du aber sollst meinen Bund halten, du und deine Nachkommen nach dir, nach ihren Geschlechtern.

Und weiter sprach Gott zu Abraham: Dein Weib Sarai sollst du nicht mehr Sarai nennen, sondern Sara soll ihr Name sein.
Dijo también Dios á Abraham: A Sarai tu mujer no la llamarás Sarai, mas Sara será su nombre.
And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but her name shall be Sarah.

Da warf sich Abraham nieder auf sein Angesicht und lachte, denn er dachte bei sich: Sollte wohl einem Hundertjährigen noch ein Sohn geboren werden, und sollte Sara, die neunzigjährige, noch gebären?
Entonces Abraham cayó sobre su rostro, y rióse, y dijo en su corazón: ¿A hombre de cien años ha de nacer hijo? ¿y Sara, ya de noventa años, ha de parir?
Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

Und Abraham sprach zu Gott: Möchte nur Ismael am Leben bleiben vor dir!
Y dijo Abraham á Dios: Ojalá Ismael viva delante de ti.
And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!”
Da sprach Gott: Nein! Dein Weib Sara wird dir einen Sohn gebären, den sollst du Isaak nennen, und ich werde meinen Bund mit ihm aufrichten als einen ewigen Bund für seine Nachkommen nach ihm.
Y respondió Dios: Ciertamente Sara tu mujer te parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Isaac; y confirmaré mi pacto con él por alianza perpetua para su simiente después de él.
And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
God said, “No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.
Aber auch in betreff Ismaels will ich dich erhören; ich will ihn segnen und ihn fruchtbar sein lassen und will machen, daß seine Nachkommen ganz überaus zahlreich werden. Zwölf Fürsten wird er zeugen, und ich will machen, daß er zu einem großen Volke wird.
Y en cuanto á Ismael, también te he oído: he aquí que le bendeciré, y le haré fructificar y multiplicar mucho en gran manera: doce príncipes engendrará, y ponerlo he por gran gente.
And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

Aber meinen Bund werde ich aufrichten mit Isaak, den dir Sara gebären wird um diese Zeit im künftigen Jahre.

Und als er seine Unterredung mit ihm geendigt hatte, fuhr Gott auf von Abraham.
Y acabó de hablar con él, y subió Dios de con Abraham.
And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

Da nahm Abraham seinen Sohn Ismael und alle in seinem Hause geborenen, sowie alle mit Geld von ihm erkauften Sklaven, alles, was männlich war unter den Hausgenossen Abrahams, und beschnitt an eben diesem Tage das Fleisch ihrer Vorhaut, wie Gott ihm geboten hatte.
Entonces tomó Abraham á Ismael su hijo, y á todos los siervos nacidos en su casa, y á todos los comprados por su dinero, á todo varón entre los domésticos de la casa de Abraham, y circuncidó la carne del prepucio de ellos en aquel mismo día, como Dios le había dicho.
