POI, quando Abramo fu d’età di novantanove anni, il Signore gli apparve, e gli disse: Io son l’Iddio Onnipotente; cammina davanti a me, e sii intiero.
Y SIENDO Abram de edad de noventa y nueve años, aparecióle Jehová, y le dijo: Yo soy el Dios Todopoderoso; anda delante de mí, y sé perfecto.
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Allora Abramo cadde sopra la sua faccia, e Iddio parlò con lui, dicendo:

As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
“As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations.
E tu non sarai più nominato Abramo; anzi il tuo nome sarà Abrahamo; perciocchè io ti ho costituito padre d’una moltitudine di nazioni.
Y no se llamará más tu nombre Abram, sino que será tu nombre Abraham, porque te he puesto por padre de muchedumbre de gentes.
Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
Your name will no more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.
E ti farò moltiplicare grandissimamente, e ti farò divenir nazioni; e re usciranno di te
Y multiplicarte he mucho en gran manera, y te pondré en gentes, y reyes saldrán de ti.
And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you. Kings will come out of you.
Ed io fermerò il mio patto fra me e te, ed i tuoi discendenti dopo te, per le lor generazioni, per patto perpetuo; per esser l’Iddio tuo, e della tua progenie dopo te.
Y estableceré mi pacto entre mí y ti, y tu simiente después de ti en sus generaciones, por alianza perpetua, para serte á ti por Dios, y á tu simiente después de ti.
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

Iddio disse ancora ad Abrahamo: Tu altresì, ed i tuoi discendenti dopo te, per le lor generazioni, osservate il mio patto.

Oltre a ciò Iddio disse ad Abraham: Quant’è a Sarai, non chiamar più la tua moglie Sarai; perciocchè il suo nome ha ad esser Sara.
Dijo también Dios á Abraham: A Sarai tu mujer no la llamarás Sarai, mas Sara será su nombre.
And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

Ed Abrahamo cadde sopra la sua faccia, e rise, e disse nel cuor suo: Nascerà egli pure un figliuolo ad un uomo di cent’anni? e Sara, ch’è d’età di novant’anni partorirà ella pure?
Entonces Abraham cayó sobre su rostro, y rióse, y dijo en su corazón: ¿A hombre de cien años ha de nacer hijo? ¿y Sara, ya de noventa años, ha de parir?
Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

E Iddio disse: Anzi Sara tua moglie ti partorirà un figliuolo, e tu gli porrai nome Isacco; ed io fermerò il mio patto con lui, per patto perpetuo per la sua progenie dopo lui.
Y respondió Dios: Ciertamente Sara tu mujer te parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Isaac; y confirmaré mi pacto con él por alianza perpetua para su simiente después de él.
And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
God said, “No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.
E quant’è ad Ismaele ancora, io ti ho esaudito; ecco, io l’ho benedetto, e lo farò moltiplicare e crescer grandissimamente; egli genererà dodici principi, ed io lo farò divenire una gran nazione.
Y en cuanto á Ismael, también te he oído: he aquí que le bendeciré, y le haré fructificar y multiplicar mucho en gran manera: doce príncipes engendrará, y ponerlo he por gran gente.
And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

E, quando Iddio ebbe finito di parlare con Abrahamo, egli se ne salì d’appresso a lui

And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

Ed Abrahamo prese Ismaele suo figliuolo, e tutti coloro che gli erano nati in casa, e tutti coloro ch’egli avea comperati co’ suoi danari, tutti i maschi dei suoi famigliari; e circoncise il prepuzio della lor carne, in quell’istesso giorno, come Iddio gliene avea parlato.
Entonces tomó Abraham á Ismael su hijo, y á todos los siervos nacidos en su casa, y á todos los comprados por su dinero, á todo varón entre los domésticos de la casa de Abraham, y circuncidó la carne del prepucio de ellos en aquel mismo día, como Dios le había dicho.
