1Und es geschah, in den Tagen Amraphels, des Königs von Schinear, Ariochs, des Königs von Ellasar, Kedorlaomers, des Königs von Elam und Thideals, des Königs von Gojim,
2Daß sie Krieg machten mit Bera, König von Sodom, und mit Birscha, König von Gomorrah, Schineab, König von Admah, und Schemeber, König von Zebojim, und dem Könige von Bela, das ist Zoar.
3Diese alle verbündeten sich im Talgrunde Siddim, das ist das Salzmeer.
4Zwölf Jahre hatten sie dem Kedorlaomer gedient, und im dreizehnten empörten sie sich.
5Und im vierzehnten Jahre kam Kedorlaomer und die Könige, die mit ihm waren, und schlugen die Rephaim in Aschteroth-Karnaim und die Susim in Ham und die Emim in Schaveh Kirjathaim.
6Und die Choriter auf ihrem Berge Seir bis El-Paran, das oben an der Wüste ist.
7Und sie kehrten zurück, und kamen nach En-Mischpat, das ist Kadesch, und schlugen das ganze Gefilde des Amalekiters, und auch den Amoriter, der in Chazezon Thamar wohnt.
8Und der König von Sodom zog aus, und der König von Gomorrah, und der König von Admah, und der König von Zeboim und der König von Bela, und ordneten sich zum Streit mit ihnen im Talgrund Siddim.
9Mit Kedorlaomer, König von Elam, und Thideal, König von Gojim, und Amraphel, König von Schinear, und Arioch, König von Ellasar, vier Könige mit fünf.
10Und der Talgrund Siddim hat Gruben an Gruben mit Erdharz, und der König von Sodom und von Gomorrah flohen und fielen daselbst, und die übrigen flohen aufs Gebirge.
11Und sie nahmen alle Habe von Sodom und Gomorrah und all ihre Speise und zogen hin.
12Und sie nahmen Lot, den Sohn von Abrams Bruder, und seine Habe und zogen hin; und er wohnte in Sodom.
13Und es kam einer, der entkommen war, und sagte es Abram, dem Hebräer an, der da wohnte in den Eichenhainen Mamres, des Amoriters, des Bruders von Eskol und Bruders von Aner, und diese waren im Bunde mit Abram.
14Und Abram hörte, daß sein Bruder gefangen war, und er ließ ausziehen seine Eingeübten in seinem Hause Geborenen dreihundertachtzehn, und setzte ihnen nach bis gen Da.
15Und er teilte sich wider sie in der Nacht, er und seine Knechte, und schlug sie, und setzte ihnen nach bis nach Chobah, das zur Linken von Damaskus ist.
16Und brachte alle ihre Habe zurück; auch seinen Bruder Lot und seine Habe brachte er zurück und auch die Weiber und das Volk.
17Und der König von Sodom kam heraus, ihm entgegen, nachdem er zurückgekommen, als er Kedorlaomer und die Könige, die mit ihm waren geschlagen in dem Talgrund Schaveh, das ist des Königs Talgrund.
18Und Melchizedek, König von Schalem, brachte heraus Brot und Wein, und er war Priester des höchsten Gottes;
19Und er segnete ihn und sprach: Gesegnet sei Abram dem höchsten Gotte, der Himmel und Erde besitzet!
20Und gesegnet sei der höchste Gott, daß Er deine Dränger in deine Hand geliefert. Und er gab ihm von allem den Zehnten.
21Und der König von Sodom sprach zu Abram: Gib mir die Seelen und nimm die Habe für dich.
22Abram aber sprach zu dem König von Sodom: Ich habe meine Hand emporgehoben zu Jehovah, dem höchsten Gott, der Himmel und Erde besitzet,
23Daß ich vom Faden bis zum Schuhriemen, von allem das dein ist, nichts nehmen will; und du sollst nicht sagen: Ich habe den Abram reich gemacht.
24Nichts für mich! außer dem, was die Jünglinge verzehrten, und dem Teil der Männer, die mit mir zogen. Aner, Eschkol und Mamre, sie sollen ihren Teil nehmen.

1Y ACONTECIÓ en los días de Amraphel, rey de Shinar, Arioch, rey de Elazar, Chêdorlaomer, rey de Elá, y Tidal, rey de naciones,
2Que éstos hicieron guerra contra Bera, rey de Sodoma, y contra Birsha, rey de Gomorra, y contra Shinab, rey de Adma, y contra Shemeber, rey de Zeboim, y contra el rey de Bela, la cual es Zoar.
3Todos estos se juntaron en el valle de Siddim, que es el mar salado.
4Doce años habían servido á Chêdorlaomer, y al décimotercio año se rebelaron.
5Y en el año décimocuarto vino Chêdorlaomer, y los reyes que estaban de su parte, y derrotaron á los Raphaitas en Ashteroth-carnaim, á los Zuzitas en Ham, y á los Emitas en Shave-Kiriataim.
6Y á los Horeos en el monte de Seir, hasta la llanura de Parán, que está junto al desierto.
7Y volvieron, y vinieron á Emmisphat, que es Cades, y devastaron todas las haciendas de los Amalecitas, y también al Amorrheo, que habitaba en Hazezón-tamar.
8Y salió el rey de Sodoma, y el rey de Gomorra, y el rey de Adma, y el rey de Zeboim, y el rey de Bela, que es Zoar, y ordenaron contra ellos batalla en el valle de Siddim;
9Es á saber, contra Chêdorlaomer, rey de Elam, y Tidal, rey de naciones, y Amraphel, rey de Shinar, y Arioch, rey de Elasar; cuatro reyes contra cinco.
10Y el valle de Siddim estaba lleno de pozos de betún: y huyeron el rey de Sodoma y el de Gomorra, y cayeron allí; y los demás huyeron al monte.
11Y tomaron toda la riqueza de Sodoma y de Gomorra, y todas sus vituallas, y se fueron.
12Tomaron también á Lot, hijo del hermano de Abram, que moraba en Sodoma, y su hacienda, y se fueron.
13Y vino uno de los que escaparon, y denunciólo á Abram el Hebreo, que habitaba en el valle de Mamre Amorrheo, hermano de Eschôl y hermano de Aner, los cuales estaban confederados con Abram.
14Y oyó Abram que su hermano estaba prisionero, y armó sus criados, los criados de su casa, trescientos dieciocho, y siguiólos hasta Dan.
15Y derramóse sobre ellos de noche él y sus siervos, é hiriólos, y fuélos siguiendo hasta Hobah, que está á la izquierda de Damasco.
16Y recobró todos los bienes, y también á Lot su hermano y su hacienda, y también las mujeres y gente.
17Y salió el rey de Sodoma á recibirlo, cuando volvía de la derrota de Chêdorlaomer y de los reyes que con él estaban, al valle de Shave, que es el valle del Rey.
18Entonces Melchîsedec, rey de Salem, sacó pan y vino; el cual era sacerdote del Dios alto;
19Y bendíjole, y dijo: Bendito sea Abram del Dios alto, poseedor de los cielos y de la tierra;
20Y bendito sea el Dios alto, que entregó tus enemigos en tu mano. Y dióle Abram los diezmos de todo.
21Entonces el rey de Sodoma dijo á Abram: Dame las personas, y toma para ti la hacienda.
22Y respondió Abram al rey de Sodoma: He alzado mi mano á Jehová Dios alto, poseedor de los cielos y de la tierra,
23Que desde un hilo hasta la correa de un calzado, nada tomaré de todo lo que es tuyo, porque no digas: Yo enriquecí á Abram:
24Sacando solamente lo que comieron los mancebos, y la porción de los varones que fueron conmigo, Aner, Eschôl, y Mamre; los cuales tomarán su parte.

1And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
2That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
3All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
4Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-paran, which is by the wilderness.
7And they returned, and came to En-mishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezon-tamar.
8And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;
9With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.
10And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.
11And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
12And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
14And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
15And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.
18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
21And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
22And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
24Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

1In the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar; Arioch, king of Ellasar; Chedorlaomer, king of Elam; and Tidal, king of Goiim,
2they made war with Bera, king of Sodom; Birsha, king of Gomorrah; Shinab, king of Admah; Shemeber, king of Zeboiim; and the king of Bela (also called Zoar).
3All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (also called the Salt Sea).
4They served Chedorlaomer for twelve years, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and struck the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to El Paran, which is by the wilderness.
7They returned, and came to En Mishpat (also called Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that lived in Hazazon Tamar.
8The king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (also called Zoar) went out; and they set the battle in array against them in the valley of Siddim
9against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
10Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and some fell there. Those who remained fled to the hills.
11They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way.
12They took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who lived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. At that time, he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. They were allies of Abram.
14When Abram heard that his relative was taken captive, he led out his three hundred eighteen trained men, born in his house, and pursued as far as Dan.
15He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative Lot and his goods, and the women also, and the other people.
17The king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
18Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High.
19He blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth.
20Blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave him a tenth of all.
21The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people, and take the goods for yourself.”
22Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to the LORD, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,
23that I will not take a thread nor a sandal strap nor anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’
24I will accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion.”
