1Und es begab sich in den Tagen Amrafels, des Königs von Babylon (Schinar), Arjochs, des Königs von Ellasar, Kedarlaomers, des Königs von Elam und Tidals, des Königs von Völkern,
2da führten sie Krieg gegen Bera, den König von Sodom, und gegen Birscha, den König von Gomorra, Schinaw, den König von Edom, und Schemewer, den König von Zebojim, und den König von Bela, das ist Zoar.
3Diese alle hatten sich verbündet im Tal Sidim, das ist das Salzmeer (das Tote Meer).
4Zwölf Jahre hatten sie Kedarlaomer gedient (waren sie Vasallen gewesen), und (aber) im dreizehnten Jahr hatten sie sich empört (sich aufgelehnt, waren abgefallen).
5Aber im vierzehnten Jahr kamen Kedarlaomer und die Könige, die mit ihm verbündet waren. Und sie schlugen die Refaiter bei (in) Aschterot Karnim, und die Susiter bei (in) Ham und die Emäer in der Ebene Kirjatim
6und die Horiter auf ihrem Gebirge Seir bis nach El Paran (Eilat), das an der Wüste liegt.
7Dann machten sie kehrt und kamen nach Ein Mischpat („Gerichtsbrunnen“), das ist Kadesch. Und sie schlugen das ganze Gebiet der Amalekiter und auch (sogar) die Amoriter, die in (bei) Hazezon Tamar (En-Gedi) wohnten.
8Da zogen aus der König von Sodom und der König von Gomorra, {und} der König von Adma, {und} der König von Zebojim und der König von Bela, das ist Zoar. Und sie stellten sich in Schlachtordnung auf im Tal Siddim
9gegen Kedarlaomer, den König von Elam, und Tidal, den König von Völkern, {und} Amrafel, den König von Sinar und Arjoch, den König von Ellasar, vier Könige gegen diese fünf.
10Aber (und) das Tal Sidim hatte viele Bitumengruben. Und als die Könige von Sodom und Gomorra flohen, da fielen sie dort hinein; die übrig blieben flohen zum (auf's) Gebirge.
11Da nahmen (konfiszierten, erbeuteten) sie alle Habe (Güter, Besitz) Sodoms und Gomorras und alle Vorräte und zogen fort.
12Sie nahmen aber auch Lot gefangen, als Geisel (verschleppten Lot) und seinen Besitz (Habe, Güter), den Brudersohn (= Neffen) Abrams, und zogen fort. Er aber hatte in Sodom gewohnt.
13Da kam ein Entkommener und erzählte (gab Nachricht) dem Abram. Der wohnte bei (unter) den heiligen Bäumen (großen Bäumen, Terebinthen) Mamres, des Amoriters, ein Bruder von Eschkol und Aner; die waren Verbündete Abrams.
14Als Abram hörte, dass sein Neffe (Verwandter) gefangen weggeführt worden war, da führte er zum Kampf seine Bewährten (Erfahrenen) Knechte, die in seinem Haus geboren worden waren, 318 Mann, und verfolgte die Angreifer bis Dan
15Da teilte er (sich =) seine Schar und fiel über sie her bei Nacht, er und seine Knechte, und schlug sie. Und er verfolgte sie bis Hoba, das nördlich von Damaskus liegt.
16Und er brachte zurück alle Habe (Besitz, Güter), und auch Lot, seinen Neffen (Verwandten) und seinen Besitz (Habe, Güter) brachte er zurück, und auch die Frauen und das Volk.
17Da zog aus der König von Sodom, ihm entgegen, nachdem er zurückgekehrt war vom (Schlagen =) Sieg über Kedar-Laomer, und die Könige, die mit ihm verbündet waren, ins Tal „Tal“ (Schawe), das ist das Königstal.
18Aber Melchi-zedek, der König von Salem, brachte Brot und Wein heraus. Er aber war ein Priester des höchsten Gottes.
19{Und} Er segnete ihn und sprach: Gesegnet sei Abram vom höchsten Gott, dem Schöpfer des Himmels und der Erde.
20Und gepriesen sei der höchste Gott, der deine Feinde in deine Hand gegeben hat. Und er (= Abram) gab ihm den Zehnten von allem.
21Da sprach der König von Sodom zu Abram: Gib mir die Leute, aber die Güter (Habe, Besitz) nimm dir.
22Da sprach Abram zum König von Sodom: Ich erhebe meine Hand zu JHWH, dem höchsten Gott, dem Schöpfer des Himmels und der Erde:
23(Weder einen Faden noch einen Sandalenriemen =) Nicht das Geringste werde ich nehmen, und nicht werde ich nehmen von allem, was dein ist. Und du sollst nicht sagen können: Ich habe den Abram reich gemacht.
24Außer nur das, was die Knechte aßen, und der (Beute)Anteil der Männer, die mit mir gingen: Aner, Eschkol und Mamre: Sie sollen (lass) ihren (An)Teil nehmen.

2Que éstos hicieron guerra contra Bera, rey de Sodoma, y contra Birsha, rey de Gomorra, y contra Shinab, rey de Adma, y contra Shemeber, rey de Zeboim, y contra el rey de Bela, la cual es Zoar.

8Y salió el rey de Sodoma, y el rey de Gomorra, y el rey de Adma, y el rey de Zeboim, y el rey de Bela, que es Zoar, y ordenaron contra ellos batalla en el valle de Siddim;
9Es á saber, contra Chêdorlaomer, rey de Elam, y Tidal, rey de naciones, y Amraphel, rey de Shinar, y Arioch, rey de Elasar; cuatro reyes contra cinco.
10Y el valle de Siddim estaba lleno de pozos de betún: y huyeron el rey de Sodoma y el de Gomorra, y cayeron allí; y los demás huyeron al monte.
11Y tomaron toda la riqueza de Sodoma y de Gomorra, y todas sus vituallas, y se fueron.
12Tomaron también á Lot, hijo del hermano de Abram, que moraba en Sodoma, y su hacienda, y se fueron.
13Y vino uno de los que escaparon, y denunciólo á Abram el Hebreo, que habitaba en el valle de Mamre Amorrheo, hermano de Eschôl y hermano de Aner, los cuales estaban confederados con Abram.
14Y oyó Abram que su hermano estaba prisionero, y armó sus criados, los criados de su casa, trescientos dieciocho, y siguiólos hasta Dan.
15Y derramóse sobre ellos de noche él y sus siervos, é hiriólos, y fuélos siguiendo hasta Hobah, que está á la izquierda de Damasco.
16Y recobró todos los bienes, y también á Lot su hermano y su hacienda, y también las mujeres y gente.
17Y salió el rey de Sodoma á recibirlo, cuando volvía de la derrota de Chêdorlaomer y de los reyes que con él estaban, al valle de Shave, que es el valle del Rey.
18Entonces Melchîsedec, rey de Salem, sacó pan y vino; el cual era sacerdote del Dios alto;
19Y bendíjole, y dijo: Bendito sea Abram del Dios alto, poseedor de los cielos y de la tierra;
20Y bendito sea el Dios alto, que entregó tus enemigos en tu mano. Y dióle Abram los diezmos de todo.
21Entonces el rey de Sodoma dijo á Abram: Dame las personas, y toma para ti la hacienda.
22Y respondió Abram al rey de Sodoma: He alzado mi mano á Jehová Dios alto, poseedor de los cielos y de la tierra,
23Que desde un hilo hasta la correa de un calzado, nada tomaré de todo lo que es tuyo, porque no digas: Yo enriquecí á Abram:
24Sacando solamente lo que comieron los mancebos, y la porción de los varones que fueron conmigo, Aner, Eschôl, y Mamre; los cuales tomarán su parte.

1And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
2That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
3All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
4Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-paran, which is by the wilderness.
7And they returned, and came to En-mishpat, which is Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezon-tamar.
8And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;
9With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.
10And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.
11And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
12And they took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram.
14And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
15And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.
18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
21And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
22And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
24Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

1In the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar; Arioch, king of Ellasar; Chedorlaomer, king of Elam; and Tidal, king of Goiim,
2they made war with Bera, king of Sodom; Birsha, king of Gomorrah; Shinab, king of Admah; Shemeber, king of Zeboiim; and the king of Bela (also called Zoar).
3All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (also called the Salt Sea).
4They served Chedorlaomer for twelve years, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and struck the Rephaim in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
6and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to El Paran, which is by the wilderness.
7They returned, and came to En Mishpat (also called Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that lived in Hazazon Tamar.

10Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and some fell there. Those who remained fled to the hills.
11They took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and went their way.
12They took Lot, Abram’s brother’s son, who lived in Sodom, and his goods, and departed.
13One who had escaped came and told Abram, the Hebrew. At that time, he lived by the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. They were allies of Abram.
14When Abram heard that his relative was taken captive, he led out his three hundred eighteen trained men, born in his house, and pursued as far as Dan.
15He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
16He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative Lot and his goods, and the women also, and the other people.
17The king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
18Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High.
19He blessed him, and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth.
20Blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave him a tenth of all.
21The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people, and take the goods for yourself.”
22Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have lifted up my hand to the LORD, God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,
23that I will not take a thread nor a sandal strap nor anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’
24I will accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre. Let them take their portion.”
