Eccettuato quello che hanno mangiato i giovani, e le porzioni di questi uomini, che son venuti meco, Aner, Escol, e Mambre: questi avranno ognuno la sua parte. Ad Abramo, che non ispera più successione, Dio promette un figliuolo; e Abramo credendo a lui è giustificato, e per caparra della terra promessa offerisce il sacrifizio prescrittogli dal Signore. E' indicato a lui il futuro pellegrinaggio della sua stirpe.
