OR tutta la terra era d’una favella e di un linguaggio.

ERA entonces toda la tierra de una lengua y unas mismas palabras.

Ed avvenne che, partendosi gli uomini di Oriente, trovarono una pianura nel paese di Sinear, e quivi si posarono.

And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

E dissero l’uno all’altro: Or su, facciamo de’ mattoni, e cociamoli col fuoco. I mattoni adunque furono loro in vece di pietre, e il bitume in vece di malta.

Y dijeron los unos á los otros: Vaya, hagamos ladrillo y cozámoslo con fuego. Y fuéles el ladrillo en lugar de piedra, y el betún en lugar de mezcla.

And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

They said to one another, “Come, let’s make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.

Poi dissero: Or su, edifichiamoci una città, ed una torre, la cui sommità giunga fino al cielo, ed acquistiamoci fama; che talora noi non siamo dispersi sopra la faccia di tutta la terra

Y dijeron: Vamos, edifiquémonos una ciudad y una torre, cuya cúspide llegue al cielo; y hagámonos un nombre, por si fuéremos esparcidos sobre la faz de toda la tierra.

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

They said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top reaches to the sky, and let’s make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad on the surface of the whole earth.”

E il Signore discese, per veder la città e la torre che i figliuoli degli uomini edificavano.

Y descendió Jehová para ver la ciudad y la torre que edificaban los hijos de los hombres.

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

E il Signore disse: Ecco un medesimo popolo, ed essi tutti hanno un medesimo linguaggio, e questo è il cominciamento del lor lavoro, ed ora tutto ciò che hanno disegnato di fare, non sarà loro divietato.

Y dijo Jehová: He aquí el pueblo es uno, y todos éstos tienen un lenguaje: y han comenzado á obrar, y nada les retraerá ahora de lo que han pensando hacer.

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Or su, scendiamo e confondiamo ivi la lor favella; acciocchè l’uno non intenda la favella dell’altro.

Ahora pues, descendamos, y confundamos allí sus lenguas, para que ninguno entienda el habla de su compañero.

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.

E il Signore li disperse di là sopra la faccia di tutta la terra; ed essi cessarono di edificar la città.

Así los esparció Jehová desde allí sobre la faz de toda la tierra, y dejaron de edificar la ciudad.

So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Perciò essa fu nominata Babilonia; perciocchè il Signore confuse quivi la favella di tutta la terra, e disperse coloro di là sopra la faccia di tutta la terra

Por esto fué llamado el nombre de ella Babel, porque allí confundió Jehová el lenguaje de toda la tierra, y desde allí los esparció sobre la faz de toda la tierra.

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

E Sela, essendo vivuto trent’anni, generò Eber.

Y vivió Sala treinta años, y engendró á Heber.

And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:

E Nahor, dopo ch’ebbe generato Tare, visse cendiciannove anni, e generò figliuoli e figliuole.

Y vivió Nachôr, después que engendró á Thare, ciento diecinueve años, y engendró hijos é hijas.

And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

Nahor lived one hundred nineteen years after he became the father of Terah, and became the father of more sons and daughters.

E Tare, essendo vivuto settant’anni, generò Abramo, Nahor, e Haran

Y vivió Thare setenta años, y engendró á Abram, y á Nachôr, y á Harán.

And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

Terah lived seventy years, and became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

E queste sono le generazioni di Tare: Tare generò Abramo, Nahor e Haran; e Haran generò Lot.

Estas son las generaciones de Thare: Thare engendró á Abram, y á Nachôr, y á Harán; y Harán engendró á Lot.

Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

Now this is the history of the generations of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran became the father of Lot.

Or Haran morì in presenza di Tare suo padre, nel suo natio paese, in Ur de’ Caldei.

Y murió Harán antes que su padre Thare en la tierra de su naturaleza, en Ur de los Caldeos.

And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.

Haran died in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldees, while his father Terah was still alive.

Ed Abramo e Nahor si presero delle mogli; il nome della moglie di Abramo era Sarai; e il nome della moglie di Nahor, Milca, la quale era figliuola di Haran, padre di Milca e d’Isca.

Y tomaron Abram y Nachôr para sí mujeres: el nombre de la mujer de Abram fué Sarai, y el nombre de la mujer de Nachôr, Milca, hija de Harán, padre de Milca y de Isca.

And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

Abram and Nahor married wives. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, who was also the father of Iscah.

Or Sarai era sterile, e non avea figliuoli.

Mas Sarai fué estéril, y no tenía hijo.

But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

E Tare prese Abramo suo figliuolo, e Lot figliuol del suo figliuolo, cioè di Haran, e Sarai sua nuora, moglie di Abramo suo figliuolo; ed essi uscirono con loro fuori d’Ur de’ Caldei, per andar nel paese di Canaan; e, giunti fino in Charan, dimorarono quivi.

Y tomó Thare á Abram su hijo, y á Lot hijo de Harán, hijo de su hijo, y á Sarai su nuera, mujer de Abram su hijo: y salió con ellos de Ur de los Caldeos, para ir á la tierra de Canaán: y vinieron hasta Harán, y asentaron allí.

And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

E il tempo della vita di Tare fu dugentocinque anni; poi morì in Charan

Y fueron los días de Thare doscientos y cinco años; y murió Thare en Harán.

And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.
