Gálatas 3

Ô Galates insensés ! Qui vous a fascinés ? Vous, aux yeux de qui Jésus-Christ a été ouvertement présenté comme crucifié.

¡OH Gálatas insensatos! ¿quién os fascinó, para no obedecer á la verdad, ante cuyos ojos Jesucristo fué ya descrito como crucificado entre vosotros?

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly portrayed among you as crucified?

Je veux seulement apprendre ceci de vous : est-ce par les œuvres de la loi que vous avez reçu l’Esprit, ou par le message de la foi ?

Esto solo quiero saber de vosotros: ¿Recibisteis el Espíritu por las obras de la ley, ó por el oir de la fe?

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

Êtes-vous tellement insensés ? Après avoir commencé par l’Esprit, voulez-vous maintenant finir par la chair ?

¿Tan necios sois? ¿habiendo comenzado por el Espíritu, ahora os perfeccionáis por la carne?

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?

Avez-vous tant souffert en vain ? — si toutefois c’est en vain.

¿Tantas cosas habéis padecido en vano? si empero en vano.

Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?

Celui donc qui vous accorde l’Esprit et qui opère des miracles parmi vous, le fait-il par les œuvres de la loi, ou par le message de la foi ?

Aquel, pues, que os daba el Espíritu, y obraba maravillas entre vosotros ¿hacíalo por las obras de la ley, ó por el oir de la fe?

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

Tout comme Abraham « crut à Dieu, et cela lui fut compté comme justice. »

Como Abraham creyó á Dios, y le fué imputado á justicia.

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Even so, Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”

Reconnaissez donc que ce sont ceux qui ont la foi qui sont enfants d’Abraham.

Sabéis por tanto, que los que son de fe, los tales son hijos de Abraham.

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Know therefore that those who are of faith are children of Abraham.

Aussi l’Écriture, prévoyant que Dieu justifierait les nations par la foi, a d’avance annoncé cet Évangile à Abraham : « Toutes les nations seront bénies en toi. »

Y viendo antes la Escritura que Dios por la fe había de justificar á los Gentiles, evangelizó antes á Abraham, diciendo: En ti serán benditas todas las naciones.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.”

Ainsi donc, ceux qui s’appuient sur la foi sont bénis avec Abraham le croyant.

Luego los de la fe son benditos con el creyente Abraham.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

Car tous ceux qui s’attachent aux œuvres de la loi sont sous la malédiction ; car il est écrit : « Maudit est quiconque ne persévère pas dans toutes les choses qui sont écrites dans le livre de la loi, pour les mettre en pratique. »

Porque todos los que son de las obras de la ley, están bajo de maldición. Porque escrito está: Maldito todo aquel que no permaneciere en todas las cosas que están escritas en el libro de la ley, para hacerlas.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

Or que personne ne soit justifié devant Dieu par la loi, cela est évident, puisque : « Le juste vivra par la foi. »

Mas por cuanto por la ley ninguno se justifica para con Dios, queda manifiesto: Que el justo por la fe vivirá.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.”

Or la loi ne procède pas de la foi ; mais elle dit : « L’homme qui mettra ces choses en pratique vivra par elles. »

La ley también no es de la fe; sino, El hombre que los hiciere, vivirá en ellos.

And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.”

Christ nous a rachetés de la malédiction de la loi, étant devenu malédiction pour nous — car il est écrit : « Maudit est quiconque est pendu au bois » —

Cristo nos redimió de la maldición de la ley, hecho por nosotros maldición; (porque está escrito: Maldito cualquiera que es colgado en madero:)

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”

afin que la bénédiction d’Abraham parvienne aux nations par le Christ Jésus, et que nous recevions par la foi l’Esprit qui avait été promis.

Para que la bendición de Abraham fuese sobre los Gentiles en Cristo Jesús; para que por la fe recibamos la promesa del Espíritu.

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Frères (je parle à la manière des hommes), une alliance en bonne forme, même faite par un homme, n’est annulée par personne, et personne n’y ajoute.

Hermanos, hablo como hombre: Aunque un pacto sea de hombre, con todo, siendo confirmado, nadie lo cancela, ó le añade.

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void or adds to it.

Or les promesses ont été faites à Abraham et à sa postérité. Il n’est pas dit : « et aux postérités », comme s’il s’agissait de plusieurs, mais comme d’une seule : « et à ta postérité », c’est-à-dire à Christ.

A Abraham fueron hechas las promesas, y á su simiente. No dice: Y á las simientes, como de muchos; sino como de uno: Y á tu simiente, la cual es Cristo.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Christ.

Voici ce que je dis : une alliance que Dieu a confirmée d’avance ne peut pas être annulée par la loi, survenue quatre cent trente ans plus tard, de manière à rendre la promesse sans effet.

Esto pues digo: Que el contrato confirmado de Dios para con Cristo, la ley que fué hecha cuatrocientos treinta años después, no lo abroga, para invalidar la promesa.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.

Car si l’héritage venait de la loi, il ne viendrait plus de la promesse ; or, c’est par la promesse que Dieu a fait cette grâce à Abraham.

Porque si la herencia es por la ley, ya no es por la promesa: empero Dios por la promesa hizo la donación á Abraham.

For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.

Pourquoi donc la loi ? Elle a été ajoutée à cause des transgressions, jusqu’à ce que vienne la postérité à qui la promesse a été faite ; et elle a été promulguée par des anges, au moyen d’un médiateur.

¿Pues de qué sirve la ley? Fué puesta por causa de las rebeliones, hasta que viniese la simiente á quien fué hecha la promesa, ordenada aquélla por los ángeles en la mano de un mediador.

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Then why is there the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

Or le médiateur n’est pas le médiateur d’un seul, tandis que Dieu est un seul.

Y el mediador no es de uno, pero Dios es uno.

Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.

La loi est-elle donc contre les promesses de Dieu ? Certainement pas ! S’il avait été donné une loi qui puisse procurer la vie, la justice viendrait réellement de la loi.

¿Luego la ley es contra las promesas de Dios? En ninguna manera: porque si la ley dada pudiera vivificar, la justicia fuera verdaderamente por la ley.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.

Mais l’Écriture a tout enfermé sous le péché, afin que la promesse soit donnée à ceux qui croient, par la foi en Jésus-Christ.

Mas encerró la Escritura todo bajo pecado, para que la promesa fuese dada á los creyentes por la fe de Jesucristo.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Avant que la foi vienne, nous étions gardés sous la loi, enfermés en vue de la foi qui devait être révélée.

Empero antes que viniese la fe, estábamos guardados bajo la ley, encerrados para aquella fe que había de ser descubierta.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Ainsi la loi a été comme un tuteur pour nous conduire à Christ, afin que nous soyons justifiés par la foi.

De manera que la ley nuestro ayo fué para llevarnos á Cristo, para que fuésemos justificados por la fe.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Mais maintenant que la foi est venue, nous ne sommes plus sous ce tuteur.

Mas venida la fe, ya no estamos bajo ayo;

But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

Car vous êtes tous enfants de Dieu par la foi en Christ-Jésus ;

Porque todos sois hijos de Dios por la fe en Cristo Jesús.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.

vous tous, en effet, qui avez été baptisés en Christ, vous avez revêtu Christ.

Porque todos los que habéis sido bautizados en Cristo, de Cristo estáis vestidos.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Il n’y a plus ni Juif ni Grec, il n’y a plus ni esclave ni homme libre, il n’y a plus ni homme ni femme ; car vous êtes tous un en Christ-Jésus.

No hay Judío, ni Griego; no hay siervo, ni libre; no hay varón, ni hembra: porque todos vosotros sois uno en Cristo Jesús.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Et si vous êtes à Christ, vous êtes donc la postérité d’Abraham, héritiers selon la promesse.

Y si vosotros sois de Cristo, ciertamente la simiente de Abraham sois, y conforme á la promesa los herederos.

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise.
