Imperocché se l'eredità è per la legge, già non è ella più per la promessa. Ma Dio gratificò Abramo per mezzo della promessa.

Porque si la herencia es por la ley, ya no es por la promesa: empero Dios por la promesa hizo la donación á Abraham.

For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
