Als ich nun sah, daß ihre Handlungsweise dem echten Evangelium nicht entspräche, da sagte ich vor allen anderen zu Kephas: "Wenn du als Jude nach heidnischer und nicht nach jüdischer Gewohnheit lebst, wie magst dann du die Heiden zwingen, die jüdische Gewohnheit anzunehmen?"
Mas cuando vi que no andaban derechamente conforme á la verdad del evangelio, dije á Pedro delante de todos: Si tú, siendo Judío, vives como los Gentiles y no como Judío, ¿por qué constriñes á los Gentiles á judaizar?
But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
But when I saw that they didn’t walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do?
