Also fasteten wir und erflehten uns die Hilfe unsres Gottes in dieser Sache, und er liess sich erbitten.

Ayunamos pues, y pedimos á nuestro Dios sobre esto, y él nos fué propicio.

So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.
