Perocché io ebbi rossore di chiedere al re in aiuto de' soldati a cavallo, che ci difendessero per istrada dal nemico; perchè noi avevamo detto al re: La mano del nostro Dio assiste tutti quelli, che lo cercano con sincerità: e il suo impero, e la sua possanza, e il suo furore si fan sentire a tutti quelli, che lo abbandonano.
Porque tuve vergüenza de pedir al rey tropa y gente de á caballo que nos defendiesen del enemigo en el camino: porque habíamos hablado al rey, diciendo: La mano de nuestro Dios es para bien sobre todos los que le buscan; mas su fortaleza y su furor sobre todos los que le dejan.
